Man this record is probably THE HARDEST, ROUGHEST album for me to listen to... Vinnie Paul may you rest in peace and keep rocking with Dime.. you're the reason why I picked up the metal sticks...
It's nice that Hellyeah is at least showing more of their influences from Mudvayne and Pantera with their later works. Not only does it sound better, it also pays a lot of respect to those two bands. I just wish they'd also bring back some of the country sounds they had in their first couple of albums. I just love hearing country and brutal metal mix.
I love hellyea, but my curiosity always gets the better of me....can anyone here imagine what it would've sounded like if Dime were still alive and playing on this album???
Sad thinking this is the last time that any of us get to hear the raw power of Vinny Paul, but good to see everyone doing justice. Great song, Chad your vocals sound as sick as ever.
Vinnie Paul completed the RECORD. He also has 5 tracks of drums & guitars of himself & Darrell intended for Damageplan 2. Rita wanted Phil & Rex to perform on them. Lets make it happen
Well I've listened to thousands of songs from hundreds of artists over the last 40+ years and this song is without a doubt in my top 20 all time. Perfect in every way.
This hits so hard. The last 5 years of my life have been ripe with loss and tragedy. Trying to move away from the loss and devastation as things start to get better is such a foreign feeling for me. I didn't know i needed this song as badly as I did. Thank you
My gran passed not long after this beautiful piece of music was released. I knew she'd been in pain for years and got the chance to talk about with her as she'd lost all her siblings and circle of friends. She was ready go for 10 years before she actually did but still stood tall for our fam till the day. Mates top Gran and this song is hers. Real talk. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Peace Gran x
Damn Vinnie. It breaks my heart that your not around anymore. I loved listening to your skills on the drums. I could always tell when it was you behind the kit. Know one loved rock and metal more then you and your brother. Rest easy brotha. We miss you
@Stagecoach Refrigerated Transport noone wanted damageplan or hellyeah if you didn't know. Lmao. Wow dude you posted fate. Are you a prophet? Hahaha obviously noone wanted shit but a new Pantera record.
RIP BIG VIN! Thanks for sharing your raw and natural talent with us! You will be truly missed and you will never be forgotten. I had a blast with you in 92. You were a awesome guy my friend! #333CFH
I am amazed by this band and the depth of their lyrics... Their own personal experiences in this thing we call life ???? Styles of their own personal hell or heaven, who knows but it's freaking awesome way of artistic talent being brought to us in the most amazing way..... HELL YEAH... LOVE THEM... Honestly have never had a song with such a beautiful Melody that everytime I hear it I feel such a emotion that i makes me feel so tender and over whelming but so beautiful .. the orchestra blends are just awesome. I can't get enough of this song ...and Chad can come scoop me up ANY TIME
Man this creative metalist reminds me of godsmack. But this Is all new. Man you rock bro. Every song you have is a token of gratitude. I just hoped on the train but I plan on being on the train forever. So thank you hellyeah. Let's goooooooooooo
While the track is fantastic on multiple levels, Chad Gray's vocals give it an entirely different personality. Anyone else would either clash with or be dominated by the instrumental performances: he runs with them like a pack of wolves.
99% comments mention Mudvayne or Pantera. 2 of my favorite past bands but Hell Yeah is one of (if not THE) best bands currently doing it and I hope people can appreciate it. RIP Vinnie.
Its heavy like a life of a journey of pain and then the riff kicks in with welcome home and it feels like God just accepted us to be apart of his kingdom, in other words your music is flawless.
Been following Chad thru Mudvayne days to the Hellyeah Days. Been backstage many times, seen band many times. Met Chad at local part repair shop in San Tan Valley, AZ. Cant wait for band to come back with a show. Will be there for sure. Going to miss Vinnie RIP. Hope band finds a worthy replacement and continue into the future with more kick ass songs. I can really relate to a quite a few of the songs.
"All the lights face the dark, All that's good gets torn apart" those lyrics right there alone have so much meaning(there's really no such thing as good or bad). I really like this bands lyrics. I can relate to them so much in my own way. they'll always have a spot on my playlist.
Such a deep connection with this one.....the story of his life and the feeling that he has, well I can relate with the way he feels....love these guys more than you will ever know and I will always be a fan ...
This loss is like a welcome home... Like no matter what happens in your life that's positive, you're always pulled back to the realization that reality itself is shitty.
IMO - Dimebag Darrell was one of the greatest guitarists ever, and Vinnie Paul was one of the greatest drummers ever. I love everything about this song! Also absolutely love their cover of Phil Collins - I don't care anymore, with Dimebag Darrell's last known guitar work on it, along with Vinnie Paul on them drums.

The last drums recorded of the legendary Vicent Paul. Rest easy brother!
Yep its sad that he died the day before my birthday in 2018... I saw the man play live a few times in my time!
😢😭😭
I thought this was his last drums ever, too. But are we sure about that? Could it possibly be Mayorga's?
I thought 333 was the last song he played on and this was their tribute to Vinnie..?
is this a fact?
We love you Vinnie. Thank you for all the music that you created and contributed towards. Rest easy brother.
18 albums. 3 good bands plus the LEGENDARY *PANTERA.* Hell of a career
That’s what makes his legacy still relevant to this day.. him and Dime created music that will last for eternity..

That tonal shift at 2:18 though.
