This always confuses me, Kosem says Mehmed her "first born". I think she means firstborn son. In Wikipedia, only eight children are listed under Kosem. Under Ahmed, Mehmed is listed as his son by Kosem. Again the name is not under Kosem's issue. Online it says Kosem had twelve children, but again only eight names are listed.
The show isn't accurate to irl history in the same way they original MC isn't accurate. That includes the number of children the characters have, probably for practical budget reasons and story consistency.
@Catinlitterbox Very true. But, some of those are listed under Kosem too. I did see a reference of "maybe by Kosem" on two other children under Ahmed II list of sons. I just think it interesting that Mehmed is listed under his name as being Kosem's son. But, is not listed under her name. Thank you.
That's the big difference between Kösem and Hürrem! Kösem said they have different mothers, but they are still siblings and have the same blood. Hürrem has slandered Mustafa since he was a child, pitting her children against Mustafa. Arrogant and evil Hürrem would never say the same thing as Kösem!
@@GeaRiri-y1j I'm not saying she is an angel ,she definitely was against mustafa but never once did she tell her kids to hate him, all of the were close to him, all besides selim who felt threatened by him and mihrimah who stole his seal
