Thankful that you mentioned the over posting mistake. It is the most frequent reason I unfollow someone if I don't feel it will damage a business relationship.

8 Common Instagram Mistakes
1. Don’t post blurry photos - use the sharpen tool
2. Don’t post personal content - keep it business focused
3. Don’t over post - Don’t post more than once an hour and use Iconosquare.com to monitor stats
4. Don’t under post - not posting for a week will mean that you’ll lose followers
5. Use your Bio (150 chars) for concise keywords, use a call to action, use a Bitly link so that you can
6. No catalogue pics. It looks like you are looking for a sale.
7. Ensure your account is not private
8. Authenticity - Don’t buy followers. Delete fake comments.

You hit the nail on the head! These are some of the most annoying instagram sins. I think you could also add "taking too many selfies". I will unfollow that person so fast.
