1 key takeaway from this video is that people have all the knowledge and watch all the videos and haven't started anything. I've started my own channel but its a bit slow at 150 subs maybe because my videos are not a big niche. From your video i found out that i need to do more research or have a research team to do some research for me to push out more videos.
Btw I love you videos all of it.

These types of videos make me click instantly compared to other videos because I know you are being authentic and making videos you want to make. They inspire me so much to be a successful uni student, RUclipsr and business owner. I feel lucky to have had access to you over the years and become the best version of myself and know I can do anything. I can’t thank you and your team enough Ali ❤

    Hey Ali!
I'm Evan, I'm starting a business and committee at 16 years old centered around Social Emotional Learning and Social Media respectively- fulfilling my passion of Psychology & Education.
As soon as I saw the title of this video, I knew I had to watch it. I saw it all the way through and the amount of insight I have is unparalleled. What I appreciate most about this video and you in general is your philosophy around selling to people. You're not selling to customers, to numbers on a screen, these are all human beings on the other side and that's something you place first, something that can't be said for most. You care about bringing value to people's lives, pure value, and as an aspiring educator and entrepreneur, that's something I will imitate on my endeavors.
Seeing the Figma boards, seeing how you use emojis in your marketing and design, seeing iteration after iteration of the curriculum, and the impact the money-returns get to you, it speaks volumes, and it tells me your intentions are in the right place. I have much more insight on my early stage for my business, and I want to do it for the right reasons like you. I found this video to be incredibly valuable, thank you for making it 🙏

I occasionally teach our customers how to use our product, and at the beginning, I received the same feedback-they felt overwhelmed.
Currently, I’m using a gaming approach. In a computer game, the hero doesn’t learn all the skills at level 1 either. Every 5-10 levels, new skills and abilities are introduced.
By the way, I think the “Productivity Pirates” idea is awesome. I wish you had do it. After all, it’s your course, and people book it because they like you. If you had implemented the pirate theme, it might have felt more authentic.🏴‍☠️
Thanks for the video-I really enjoyed it! :)

Just interesting to learn about what happens behind the scenes. Like how open you are about “failure” and building in public like this. Would love to see more of the journey of inception, fruition, implementation and then iteration.
I didn’t realise the video was so long, so hats off for keeping me engaged for as long as that😂

  • @hilmak8286

Hey! I usually do not comment on any videos but as you requested in the end, I wanted to give some honest feedback of this video 😊I'm currently starting my entrepreneurial journey, coming up with a business idea and refining that so it was especially helpful to hear what you concretely did in the beginning of the process (competitive analysis, dream outcome, "start-vehicle-destination", G=iv^2, "ready-fire-aim"). I got a tons of new ideas out of these how to apply these to my own "concept to execution"-process. However, all these came up in the first half of the video, and after that (after you started filming on the second day), I felt like the focus changed a bit; you started showing the Figmas/Miros (which is cool to see as well) but the focus was very much connected what kind of product names etc. you thought through with the team rather than just showing the overview of the process that "this is how much the product iterated, this is how many names we came up with". I think going so deeply into what is actually in the Figma-board will lose the kind of applicability for others to take that and apply it to their processes rather than showing only the overview of the product naming process etc. So maybe thinking "if I explain/show this to others, are they able to apply this to their own product building processes (or how much value they gain out of seeing all the little details of building the course structure etc.)" would help to shift the focus to have it on the actual process "from concept to execution" rather than going through all details of a course's history. But thank you so much for the video, got still many great insights from it and definitely more of these are welcome!

Hi Ali, nice to 'e-meet' you here. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and loving every single bit of it. I'm from Argentina but have been living in China for the last 8 years (Congrats on moving to HK, great place). First time I'm feeling the need of commenting on a video but, this hits different as I'm in the process of building a product myself and struggle with some things. Personally I think there's a missed step between 1) Set up a goal 2) Take action and here it is: MINDSET. I noticed that I have no problem coming up with goals I want to achieve and knowing the actions I should be taking in order to achieve it, however, the reason I failed is "wasted inner energy/resistance". This means: the internal struggle I face every time I want to go into a direction but my mindset or limiting belief tells me otherwise. I end up questioning myself and really slowing down the whole process....
I also believe this is the reason why most of us "fail" to even attempt to achieve a goal because we do get a burst of energy right off the start but that washes off as the resistance to change starts pushing you in the opposite direction with things like "You're not good enough" "It's possible for others but not for you" etc. We all know this inner shitty chat.
Since I started working on my mindset and stop interrupting my own creative processes, I gained more confidence, less DOUBTS (confused mind always says no) and started moving forward.
So my recap is: We all know deep down what we want and what do we need to do, however the reason why we don't do it it's because we think it's not possible (and try to find whatever reason to support this).
Wish more productivity courses would include this. Grow your mindset, grow your business.

    Ali, Ali, Ali,
The best time of the year is seeing you reflect on your journey. I've been following you for almost three years, and your life story always inspires me. I'm not sure why, but I’ve found so many things that resonate with me. I’m not saying you’re perfect, but I do see you as an honest person, at least from my perspective, who truly wants to make a difference in people’s lives. Much love to you! My prayers are with you. :)

I really appreciate this video Ali. Thank you! I got that the resistance to doing what needs to be done is one of the things people struggle with the most, myself included.
I would also like to hear more about the marketing channels you use.
The insights on refunds is insightful.
The reminder to create a waiting list before launching is important.
Chief of all learnings: intensity beats consistency when you're first starting out.
Thanks for the book recommendation of Ready, Fire, Aim by Michael Masterson. I have just bought the audiobook and plan to listen to it next.
    Thanks again Ali!

PS: The word productivity itself is associated with systems, routines, structures, rigid agendas and takes all the "fun" part of it. Actually, being productive for me doesn't mean "DO MORE" which already has a negative connotation but use your time wisely so you can be organized and focused for a short period of time in which you get things done so you can free up the rest of your agenda to spend your time doing whatever else you want. Productivity Pirates brings that kind of vibe like "stealing time" by being smart with your tasks.

Thank you for this interesting video. I got out of it that we need to take action and it was cool to see the process that goes into creating a course as digital product. About the refund policy I have learned in my translations studies that it's always good to offer a full refund as you actually do, because if you give back the whole amount that was paid you are stepping back from a contract. From this point on you don't owe the buyer anything. And of course it makes you feel better if you don't keep the money of an unsatisfied customer. I found it good to know that you ask a question about how to improve the product. And it gives me strength to start my own course without knowing if people will like it.

Hi Ali, another great video, hugely valuable. Keep following your gut instinct about what your audience wants/needs. My two takeaways are you can't magic your way to your dreams, you have to find a way to 'do the work'. Your course provides people with more framework however you can't 'make them' put in the effort. My second takeaway is about being very clear what you want the goals from any exercise to be. Thanks once again and of course congratulations on all your recent personal good fortune/milestones 😊

Like some businesses are branded to people meaning it runs down the family
and apple which is it's on incorporation so It is not branded to a person and ceo is not the person who is a relitive of the last one
    I don't think
they'll ever let an Indion person run that company at apple
    be a ceo
    because if they did
then that person would like make his son or daughter Next ceo for sure.

    Hey Ali,
I got to say, this is been my favorite video of the year - of all the creators I follow.
(For the record, I only follow a few).
I've been in business for a will (done for you services) but didn't like the fact that I could nit leverage my time (or effort).
So a year I go I made the decision to productize my service offering - like you said - intense bursts of creation.
What this video did for me, was show me, that even the journey has been messy (product development), I'm still on the right track.
Getting the product done, get it out, getting it wrong and improving on it, is all apart of the process.
I really enjoyed this video man.

Watched the entire video, always do. I love your openness and how you share what you do to achieve/build your success and products. It gives viewers confidence and a potential pathway to do the same.
As a 46 year old father, I have procrastinated for 20 years on building my own software and even creating courses and videos over the more recent years. Seeing the behind the scenes of your Productivity Pirates (love the playful and adventurous name and am using it instead) makes me realize 1. I am literally the target audience as my main pain point is DOING the thing, and 2. Continues hope that I can still achieve my own entrepeneur/creator goals.
Thanks for everything you’ve put out over the years, and congrats on your recent life updates: being a dad is the greatest journey.

Hey Ali. To be truthful I always skip your video without watching them till the end. But this one was different. While hearing your journey, I kind of questioned myself about my life and where it is going. This might not be directly relevant to the topic that you were talking about in this video but definitely it gave me the best advice on seeing myself growing into the person that I want to be in my future. This Process should be Effective, Intentional and enjoyable as you said. Thanks a lot man.

I’m sold on Productivity Pirates! “Join the Crew” and the skull like pirate logo?! I really dig it! I love a good word like Lab too, but the vibe of Productivity Pirates is fun! Lab is fitting because it’s like focus. But with the whole productivity being fun and enjoying more of what matters, Productivity Pirates I really think is more fitting for the brand. Just my two cents!
