    Joined the Facebook group! I am an art teacher/artist and I purchased your gumroad video on building a sketch easel with plans on creating my own version of it this summer!!! I can't wait to build my own, and I will totally be adding the light diffuser to it. (Also, I love vids like this... it feels like an add on to the Sketch easel video)

    Very cool James - sharing on my gear and links page for my students and subscribers. Love your blog posts and newsletter also (not to mention your art) and your Color and Light book is just outstanding!

    Hi, James. Do you have any surviving early artwork of yours that you could share with us viewers? It would be inspiring for me to see how you've progressed over the years to this astounding skill you have today and to discover your critique on those early works.
    Thanks for the great videos and blog posts.

    Awesome and handy advice. Only one point: Use wood glue on wood. Permanent bond stronger than the wood itself. Gorilla Glue you are using is "urethane" and not a true cement that will give up at some point when the wood moves in the humidity of the air. It's fine for this, as the wood is soft and the stress is not critical. I'll be checking out the FB group!

    Thanks for the improved diffuser! What are the overall dimensions of the fabric trapezoid? I'm in the process of making the arm that holds it and I'm trying to determine how big to make the cloth part. Thanks again for sharing all your valuable advice!

    Love this. Help me clear up a picture in my mind here about the cross bow area. You stuck putty in where the impressions for the cross bow to to thru..like you filled it in. How does that work, when you are to slide the sticks thru each slot? Thanks.

      Virginia, I just used the putty to hold the cross piece on the top. I was careful not to fill in the tubes. Alternate build is to just drill out a piece of wood with two holes at 90 degrees to each other. The fabric will hold them in position.

    what's a different between pen and ink sketching and cross hatching techniques?
    If I draw textures I m not able to draw shadow n light and vice versa what should I do?

    • @harlanguthrie3832
      @harlanguthrie3832 6 лет назад +1

      Harshal Rajput Texture with Pen and Ink is done by varying the density of shapes and marks with a pen, and a good way to show the light or shadow of a texture is to decrease or increase the density of marks.

      I believe so. With Gumroad, you can either download the file or stream it on any device by logging into your account on that device.
