  • let's hang out and lost foam cast a hand wheel for my surface grinder. This hand wheel was broken. During the setup in the shop and was easily casted. Just cut out a foam part in the CNC, bury it in sand and boom! You have a hand wheel

Is this a repost of an earlier video of yours? Not a problem if it is,i watch it anyway! 😊
I just keep doubting my sanity. Is there a glitch in the matrix? Is that the same black cat again?
    Nice handwheel by the way!

Hahaha,. Not a glitch in the matrix. I rented it to board panda for a year. Now I have it back ;)

That gives me a lot of temptation to do some lost foam casting myself. Looks good. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.

    That turned out amazing!
I need a guy like you to cast one up for a Clausing Metosa lathe !
Did you ever get that thread dial made up for yours ? I still have one sitting on my workbench if you want specs!
Hope your doing well my friend.

Do you have the same lathe as me? I'm sure I could cast you one. Look me up on Facebook so we can chat.
As for the thread dial it's still on the project waitlist. But is working its way closer to the top of the list. Currently, I'm experimenting with making a gear hobber for the mill with Arduino and a dividing head. But that will be a month or so before it's out. Today I'm working on adapting a Beckett oil furnace burner to the foundry so I can just turn on the thing and not have to fiddle with it. Previously it was like a very temperamental woman. Needing constant adjustments and encouragement to keep it working at 100%. I almost have it working.
      Look forward to chatting. Ttyl

At least you had someone come in at the end to supervise you.

I just used regular drywall plaster thinned down. There are a few more videos I have on the topic. Some touch more on the whole process
