  • In open source software development, sooner or later you will come across the terms or roles of "developer" and "maintainer". In this video, I try to give an overview and differentiate between the two roles. Nothing is set in stone. Each project can assign the roles itself. Often, the lead developer is also the "first" maintainer. But not always. That's why this video also contains my view of things, which is only mine. It may not fully coincide with other definitions. Have fun.
