Alec Baldwin’s Defense Confronts Crime Scene Tech About 'Hidden' Evidence

- Defense attorney Alex Spiro was seen getting fiery with the witness, crime scene technician Marissa Poppell, who had to take the stand again on Friday morning. Spiro confronted Poppell about her investigation of the crime scene and he believes that there was allegedly hidden evidence. Poppell is seen becoming irritated with the defense and their questions.

Famed actor and movie producer Alec Baldwin was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter in January for the death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins died on Baldwin’s “Rust” movie set. Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for Hutchins’ death. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

@@dangerzone6372 First of all, she's clearly being dishonest on the stand. Whenever the defense attorney "gets her," she refuses to give a straight answer. She's extremely hostile to the defense. You say she's just a crime scene technician...well, a crime scene technician shouldn't view herself as part of the prosecution team, and it's 100% obvious that she does. Second, important evidence was hidden from the defense, and she either hid it, helped hide it, or at least knew that was hidden and said nothing.

FWIW I think both Baldwin & armorer bear some legal responsibility but the disgraceful behavior of LE (incompetence & malice) will lead to armor being freed.
If they do this to a celebrity of his magnitude, imagine a regular citizen.
this crime scene tech smiled while lying under oath. She was a key person helping the D.A. "hide evidence" from the Rust movie shooting.

The fact that a crime scene tech is so confrontational and defensive is a massive red flag. They are not supposed to be bias to either side, yet she is so determined to be for the prosecution. This is very concerning.

This is one cold-hearted witness.She has nothing to be proud of regarding her behavior throughout this case.
It's quite obvious that a witness is biased when they recall with acute clarity whatever specifics they're asked to by one side and then suddenly contracts selective amnesia when they're cross examined.
Also, she literally stated, without hesitation, that seeing the video of the situation in question wouldn't help her remember it. SUSPICIOUS.
They should all be charged with conspiracy to convict an innocent man of manslaughter. This is a disgrace to all law enforcement. The whole time this day they lie, lie and lie. It’s sickening.

A crime scene technician is somebody who just gathers and stores evidence. It's not her place to solve the case, or to figure out "who dunnit?", or to play on the prosecutor's team. She dusts for fingerprints and such...that's it. But it's clear that this tech was extremely hostile to the defense, was playing for Team Morrisey, and you have to wonder if this impacted how she did her job. I think her part in this fiasco needs to be investigated.

If actors are legally responsible for determining safety then no actor will ever again use a gun, drive a car, do a fight sequence, or do anything that could potentially hurt someone. This charge was ridiculous and politically motivated.
