@@TechnicallyTee they definitely warp. They usually warp by the volume button buttons specially for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models if you've used them for about seven months like I have.
I wonder if they sent out a bunch of review cases to see what all the reviewers think and comment and they can fine tune them in a large scale and ship them out with changes. Just a thought. Especially where they are on preorder right now right now they have a code gift20 and it is 60.00.
Most of the third party cases don’t have a cover button. Can’t you just use it even if you lose the button? Still better than that awful huge cut out prior.
I’m glad they finally added the Camera Control Button, it’s a step in the right direction. However, the Limitless 6.0 still cuts a lot of corners over the 5.0. Missing all the TPE (Airoshock) that was in the inner sides of the case, and the grip was completely removed from the right side of the case. Thus rendering the feature useless. I’ve used MOUS cases since they started the brand, and I can assure you that the Limitless 6.0 is the cheapest version made to date.
Before I got my 16 Pro, I thought for sure that having a camera control button incorporated in the case was the only way to go. Once I got the phone with the Apple silicone case, I found that I don’t like using the new camera controls button anyway, and I was constantly pressing it by accident when I picked up the phone. Now that I have my Phone Rebel with camera control cutout, I still don’t use camera control, but now I never press it by accident anymore. So I have converted to team cutout. If there was an option for the case to just cover it altogether, that would be even better lol.
Yep I said that was going to be a thing and something people will get annoyed with. Those buttons press very easily and you will always hit it by accident.
I agree with having the option to just cover it up. I honestly wonder if this will wind up being the iPhone equivalent of the MBP TouchBar. I was pretty hyped initially for camera control and then was a bit obsessive over finding cases that incorporated a pass-through button that would allow me to use it and have the phone protected at the same time. Now that we're a few months in, I've changed the settings to only activate camera control with a double click and have used it maybe twice since launch day. One less cutout/button implementation would add back the structural rigidity of the cases as well.
This is an interesting discussion. I’ve never pressed the Camera Control button by accident, and I’ve had Caudabe cases (with the cutout vs. the notch) too. So weird.
Tell is like it is Tee, I was seeing another reviewers video and I asked if the camera button section looked tight and rigid as it looked flimsy on the video just by looking at it. You validated my concern and as a fellow case head, only users like us notice these things. Now I understand why companies like Caudabe are not quick to implement something as it will take some time and engineering to get it right. I might stick to my Caudabe Sheath + Synthesis cutout cases as I honestly think that is the best route currently. Those are so snug and rigid around the camera area, - it does not get better than that. Just not feeling Spigen and the Apple case is not as durable as I would like. Now the Sheath with a camera button and the rigidity the Caudabe is known for is something on my wishlist. Might have to wait for the 17 in order to see it done right!
I always wait until black Friday to get these cases and you get half price. I am able to return mine and then buy the new one, with the 50% discount that they've offered me
The rhinoshield buttons are so easily removable. Always hated that about that case. Also, the case eventually becomes so easy to take off, that it loses its protection and even a slam on the floor from waist level, the case comes a little out and damages your phone. So that's kind of ridiculous. However, this case I'd take over the original mous that they made in September any day. If it works fine, then I'm not going to complain. Tbh, I never use the camera control button. Anyone that has the original case, shouldn't buy this, unless they can get a trade or return it. I'm sure that they will make some improvements for the 17 line up. I wish apple never even made a camera control button. I'm certain that rarely anyone is even using it. The only time I ever use it is to open the camera. Never use it again after that. But mostly, on the lock screen, I swype left. So it's a very useless button. I do hate that mous announced this without asking the consumers if they want a button that's replaceable or one that stays on the case no matter what
I have ordered a Mous case every year for many years and generally love these cases. But this was the first year I didn't order a Mous case because the way they handled the cutout was so bad. Now as soon as I saw this drop, I did order one, but this is very disappointing. I am using the Spigen Hybrid T case right now and love it. I may end up returning the Mous case if I am not satisfied. The way this looks is not inspiring confidence, especially for the price. ETA: For the price of the Mous case, I can order a few Spigen cases and swap them out. Which is now what I am thinking of doing instead.
I ordered this button a month a go from Aliexpress (and posted so on MacRumors) . So poor of Mous to just order a load of these and use it for their 'premium priced' case. The button works ok but the silicone surround causes some friction that hinders smooth swiping. The side integrity above the button is very weak which wouldn't be an issue if a button was integrated into the case instead of a pop-out.
I definitely like the idea of a removable cover since it also gives you the option of rocking a naked camera control if you feel like it, but I don't want it to come at the expense of quality and this honestly seems a little too flimsy for such an expensive case.
Handmade leather phone case maker here. I have been researching on implementing the cc button for 2 months. It has been difficult and may have found a method. I came across this button in Aliexpress. It wasn't compatible with my case. However, I can't believe Mous went for the easy way by just placing this removable cc button. Easy cash grab move there, Mous
The camera button feels like a temporary solution that Mous can come up with. They went with Chinese manufacturers that have already made those buttons.
seems like rushed on the CC button. they could have made it by raising it a bit so it can have a bit of a structure which in turn reinforces it. i don't mind the bulk tradeoff as long as I can have a peace of mind that the case is rigid AF. man, glad I'm still on the 15 pro with all the CC shenanigans of the 16 series.
Thanks for your always honest review and giving us all the facts. The case will cost me $100 where I live and it’s just getting to be too much for me to spend that money for this case. I agree with the money they are charging they need to implement the camera button with more than a bandaid option which to me they have done.
Wonder if other manufacturers will end up selling updated models with camera control buttons replacing their previous cutouts. Seems like everyone rushed out products for the 16 series iPhones just to have something to sell, and are fixing their designs later. FloLab with their 16 Pro Max screen protector bezels, Mous with their camera control button.
Have had Mous on my last few Samsung devices and always find myself adding a Spigen to the mix. The main reason, I love that Spigen does individual camera cut-outs for the Samsung flagships. Great video as always!
As always, great review. Love the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T, and alternate between it and the Reborn Device Carbon Fiber v3. It has a notch for the camera control, but the case is so thin you barely notice it. Only notch case that feels comfortable in my hand. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks Tee for this review. You spoiled me on how in depth you go in your videos. Other reviewers don't check the sides to test how flimsy or stiff they are which is my number 1 pet peeve on a case. Looks like ill wait for dbrand grip with camera control that i seen mentioned on reddit 👀.
I’m guessing they’re justification is that most people don’t buy more than one case like us so at least if it breaks if doesn’t cost them a whole new case
Just trying to think outside the box. If the camera control button were built better and integrated better, I guess you could say it could lead to greater customization / colorways for the phone, but it sounds like they just aren’t there yet and rushed something to market before it was ready.
Good for your for your honesty! I’m more disappointed with the big gap in the side of my first mous 16 pro max case even if it does show the white titanium. Will they trade in for this newer case?
This is a step in the right direction for sure, but agree. The fact that it pops out is ridiculous for the asking price. The only advantage of it would be to take it out to begin with. Appreciate your video and advocating for consumers and pushing these case companies to do better, when they clearly need to. Personally, I'd have rather had a more rigid frame with an open cutout for the camera control button on the phone. Plenty of case manufacturers have already done this (Caudabe, Torras, Flolabs) to name a few. Just take it off and make the frame more stable/rigid. This looks like more of the same laziness with v 1.0 of their cases. At this point, I think I'll just stick with that until this gets improved upon. Definitely not what I expect from a "premium" brand. Do better Mous!
SO glad you made this video. I was all set to drop $80 on this case. I think I can wait until they (or someone else - come on Caudabe!) get it right. They were so close too. 😢
Hey Tee great video & vibe as always! I know most of what you cover is iphone based, but wondered if you had heard about / conisidered making a video like this about Pixel 9 cases seeing as you are the king of magsafe accessories - specifically the problems that they are having from magnet alignment on the cases & therefore charging for all the big manufacturers that are making cases (Pitaka, Peak Design, Mous, Dbrand). The pixel 9 and 9 pro have different placement for their coils and manufacturers only made one case design for the most part as the dimensions are the same - there are lots of posts, and confused customers who have just switched to their first pixel & can't get wireless charging working on Reddit so your coverage might be very informative!
Great video keeping to the point that 80$ cases should have 80$ qualities plain and simple so i agree almost 100$ cases and there still cutting corners to make profit they should send out replacements for all those how bought the camera cut out notch with this new revised version
No you are not too hard, you are completely right, and also for those people who got the case with the cutout? I personally got it and feel kinda scammed now.
Well it’s a hard in between because you are going to accidentally press it really on any case that has the button. I’m sure some might press easier than others.
Mous are overpriced and overrated and I would never give them my hard earned cash. This 'removable' button as just poor engineering and cost cutting. period.
At this point we should stop caring about the camera control button. It’s one of the most useless things Apple has done in the past 5 years and it’s still getting so much attention 😢
Yeah, this case ain't it man. Mous not getting my money this year. I hope Dbrand does their upcoming updated Grip case right with their implementation.
That swell at the side above the CC button is an instant no-go.
It’s the little things people miss. I feel that’s going to warp with use.
@@TechnicallyTee they definitely warp. They usually warp by the volume button buttons specially for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models if you've used them for about seven months like I have.

Spigen grinning like crazy after seeing this lol
😅Right this the first time in years I had no to buy a spigen case for the price and quality no brained for the 16 PM 👍
Mouse’s new camera control button design is a step forward in terms of replaceability but falls short on quality and integration
Bingo.
Most of the third party cases don’t have a cover button. Can’t you just use it even if you lose the button? Still better than that awful huge cut out prior.
Tee, laying down the true facts They went from a big bite to floppy gums
Just trying to do my best at keeping it straight up. Just not really feeling it.

Where is all the shock protection 😂they have trimmed that back massively “Aero shock”
Mous's brand continues to stumble. The people who paid $75+shipping for a cutout case, may never go back. Not this generation for sure.
I always wait until black Friday to get these cases and you get half price. I am able to return mine and then buy the new one, with the 50% discount that they've offered me

You’re not wrong
Yep, for 75 bucks, it should be a lot better!
My eyebrows be raising when I hear you said you got more cases in the back you can't show 👀
Thanks for this excellent review. I really appreciate your honest assessment, something that is getting more and more rare on RUclips.

75 dollars? They trying to make us compensate for them ads ain’t it ?
This is the reason why I’m not upgrading to the 16 pm. I don’t really need that cc button
Lol same. Might be an Android year for 2025.
I will not buy an iphone with that button, i hate it so much. I hope they dont keep it on the next models or allow it to be an optionally choice.
I wish caudabe adds a camera button!
Aaaand pass. Waiting for that Phone Rebel Gen 6 with CC button. Happy using my UB Grip until then.

I ordered mine yesterday and might just have to cancel now cos of the button popping out like that.
👏🏻 Totally agree. I’m in love tosh my Mous 4.0 and hope next year’s 7.0 for iPhone 17 lineup will improve the camera control.
Yeah let’s see how they handle it for sure.

The camera control button has a PCB incorporated into the glass. Thanks for the awesome review! You helped me with my decision!
Another sloppy job by Mous. Hard Pass.
Brutally honest review - really appreciate it! Was considering purchasing this until I got really valuable info here
0:34 toss to the side 😂
$75? oh hell naw
Used to like Mous but wow that’s low quality. Loving and sticking with Phone Rebel Gen 6 ❤️😎.

Nah I doubt it. Will have to pay for the case all over again.
I agree, that camera control button is janky as hell. Spigen did it right. Hopefully, it will come to Spigen's whole line-up.
You’re at the right level of criticism. 75 bucks should get you a better implementation of the camera control button than a 20 dollar one.
Another reassuring reason for me to be happy that I’m rocking the caudabe sheath 😅

Hated mous cases but got the green one for the 15 pro max and it was hands down best case, I ended up getting the blue also
Hey Tee great video & vibe as always! Really $75 dollars tell me why ???
nomad cases need to step up too.
SUPCASE, SPIGEN,TAURI The GOAT in cases. 🐐
Why are you complaining about 75 bucks now? Their cases are normally 70 and are NOT worth that price at all.
No their cases aren’t normally $75. It’s been around $50 and the last year or two they have shot up.
Let them know Tee! 🔥 You are absolutely right. $75? And here I am chillin with my $20 Spigen with a button done RIGHT 😎
One step closer 👍 I’m due a new phone in April, so hopefully more cases with CCB are available at that point 🤞
$75 for that thick ass Mous case is insane. I hate Mous cases. Too hard to get your phone in and out.
They loosen up a lot. They're tight when they are new.
Thank you ! I would never buy a Mous case again. I knew they’re all about ads and overpriced NOT worth it!
Hey Tee, sick video as always. You think you could take the button off and use it on a caudabe case???
Just wait until Mous sponsors him 🤣
Very limited with my sponsors and I’m not sure what you’re trying to say but it’s probably something you know nothing about.

I feel like the spigen and apple cases are bad because they are too accessible
Well it’s a hard in between because you are going to accidentally press it really on any case that has the button. I’m sure some might press easier than others.
@ I like the pill cases so you can really get your finger in it without accidentally pressing it
What's popping my bro!
My dude what’s going on 💪🏽💪🏽
Any update if dbrand is going to update their case?
Benks is the best case had it for my 14 and 16 no complains. Aramid fiber
What happened with OtterBox?They were supposed to come out with a Defender with camera control,Is that not happening?
As a Pitaka user, no camera control button no problemo 😂😂😂
Big bite outta crime... 😂😂😂😂
Perfect solution for this useless camera button is a case without any cutout or button.
What about us who already bought the case with the cut out? Will Mous allow us to exchange for the new revised case?
Damn Tee.
I Should’ve Waited For Your Vid Before Purchasing This Dang Case.
I’m Already Getting it Shipped to me .
Hey T, important Question: How are you?
I’m doing pretty good, could be better. Thanks for asking!
I need tighter, more sturdy and camera control buttons, thank you brother! 我需要更紧密,更结实和相机控制按钮,感谢你兄弟!
wtf mous are you kidding me for camera button from china with 0.59usd
Mous are overpriced and overrated and I would never give them my hard earned cash. This 'removable' button as just poor engineering and cost cutting. period.
I like the original 6.0 more tbh 😂
You get your ghost case yet?
Damn I really wanted to buy this case. Thank you for the review!
Mous makes great Samsung cases, but their iPhone cases have been getting worse and worse
At this point we should stop caring about the camera control button. It’s one of the most useless things Apple has done in the past 5 years and it’s still getting so much attention 😢
Complains when there is no control button
Complains when there is a control button
Cant please everyone
Yeah, this case ain't it man. Mous not getting my money this year. I hope Dbrand does their upcoming updated Grip case right with their implementation.
Sorry...I agree this case is NOT CUTTING IT...hard pass. PS, great vid though!
Nice video
👍👍
they fucked us, they should give us the new verison for free, why I am buying with the cutout and 2 weeks later they add that shit @mous
