I've met several Korean-Japanese-American who i never would have guessed were Koreans as they had Japanese last names. The founder of Yoshida Sauce ( not sure if it's sold outside Oregon) is a Korean-Japanese-American. Every year Japanese Americans talk about how their parents and grandparents suffered in the concentration camps after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. I am sorry that innocent Japanese Americans had to suffer in the concentration camps, but America never forced them to change their names to American names. Besides, what Koreans and many Asians experienced under Japanese rule is far far worse than what those Japanese Americans experienced in those camps. I wish Japan would stop playing the victim.
Well, that's not the half of it. Japan now denies all their war crimes, justifies Pearl Harbor, then whines all night about Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Repeat after me "We're the only nation to suffer an atomic bomb." The cry, cry, sniffle, sniffle -- masters and the victim game. I used to think Korea was the champions of "victimization" -- not even close. Not even close.

한국의 영향력은 이제 많은곳에 닿아 있고, 그만큼 한국의 역사 또한 많이 알려지고 있습니다.

그러나 일본은 실상 까고보면 사람들이 결코 지지하거나 신뢰할수 없는 입장에 있으며, 현재 중국 또한, (러시아를 포함하여) 일본과 크게 다르지 않습니다.
세계의 일반적인 추세와 정반대로 가고 있는겁니다.
결론적으로
언젠가 그들이 스스로의 근본을 외면하고 짜집기한 값을 곧 치루게 될겁니다.
뿌리가 썩으면 아무리 크고 곧게 자라난 나무도 실바람에 넘어지기 마련인것처럼.

He was being rude, but that's how he was brought up in China and he didn't know any better. I can go on and on to list many uncomfortable experiences I have had with my Chinese friends/neighbors/church members. This may change when America, Korea and the rest of the world stop empowering the CCP and the CCP realizes that China needs Korea more than Korea needs China.

청나라와 조약으로 북간도(동간도)는 조선 것이긴 했는데 을사늑약으로 일본이 조선의 외교권 강탈하고 만주철도 부설권을 얻고 북간도를 중국에 팔았죠.
이는 국제조약 위반으로 한국으로 다시 돌아와야 하지만 해방 후 남북으로 갈리고 통일되지 못한 상태에서 중국의 도움이 필요한 북한의 사정으로 돌려받지 못했죠. 실효지배 100년이면 그 나라 땅으로 인정한다는 조약이 있어서 이제는 중국땅이 맞긴하지만 원래 우리 땅이였다는 걸 다들 알았으면 합니다.

.. 백두산은 북한이 반은 팔아 먹어서 장백산 된지 오래되었고 동북공정은 80년대부터 시작해서 관련 공정은 끝났고 최근엔 문화공정을 유명 연예인들을 이용해 하는거 같습니다. 중국드라마를 보면 대놓고 문화공정하더라구요. 삼계탕,김치, 한복,갓… 최근엔 한반도에서 건너간 백제바둑판이 중드에서 나와서 깜짝놀라서 사진 비교까지 한 기억이 있네요. 목화자단기국으로 한국 소나무로 만들었다고 일본측에서 밝혔는데 중드에 나오고… 조금이라도 가능성과 연관있으면 자국문화에 다 집어 넣는거 같습니다.

오늘 영상에서 중국올림픽 한복논란에 관련 해서 저도 중국이 그럴수도 있다고 동감합니다. 다만 한국인 입장에서는 중국이 의도를 가지고 일부로 한것 같다는 여겨집니다. 많은 한국인들이 이 하나의 사건만 보고 이야기 하는것이 아니라 전체적 맥락을 보고 문제 있다고 하는것입니다.
조선족 대표로 최근 남한식 한복을 입고 나온것만 있었다면 이전 중국올림픽처럼 말없이 넘어 갔겠죠. 그러나 공개되지 않는 현지 영상에서 한민족의 문화를 대형 화면으로 자국민과 외국 일부 국가에게만 송출되었습니다.

그뿐만 아니라 중국정부가 공식적으로는 아닌 척하면서 공산당원과 연예인들을 이용하여 하나의 중국을 외치며 동북공정이라는 역사공정을 넘어 문화공정을 하고 있다는것입니다.
한국의 대표적 민속 ‘농악’을 중국 조선족 ‘농악무’로 유네스코에 세계 문화유산으로 등록 시켰고, 아리랑을 비롯해 가야금, 혼례식,한복, 환갑례, 상모춤, 돌잡이,추석을 중국무형문화재로 등록시켜 놓았습니다. 그냥 봐도 목적을 가지고 남의 문화를 빼앗는 걸로 밖에 보이지 않습니다.
몽골 징기스칸이 몽골인임에도 불구하고 중국은 그를 중국인이라고 합니다. 현재 중국 땅에 몽골인들이 많이 거주하고 원나라 시절 중국 한족이 몽골인들에게 100년 가까이 노비로 식민지배 당했으므로 몽골옷, 음악, 몽골칸이 중국의 문화라고 여기지요. 실제 프랑스에서 몽골 징기스칸전이 중국의 반대로 프랑스 전시 포기하게 되었죠. 징기스칸이 중국인고 중국의 문화라고 주장해서요.
한국은 35년 일제침략 당했다고 일본의 기모노와 일본식 집인 적산가옥, 일본 전통 음악을 한국의 전통문화다라고 생각하지 않습니다.
미국은 중국 소수민족들과 달리 초기부터 영국 청도교도들, 아일랜드인, 중국 이민자들이 많았고 영국으로부터 식민지배를 받은것도 사실입니다.
그런데 미국이 영국의 문화와 중국 이민자의 문화를 소수민족의 문화라고 지칭하거나 그들 조상들 문화까지 다 미국 전통문화라고 하나요?
최근 미국 뉴저지에서 한복의 날을 지정하고 주지사가 한복의 기원은 기원전 2333년 고조선때 부터 내려온 옷이라고 말하면서 한국문화를 존중해주었습니다... 그런데 중국처럼 미국도 한국의 한복, 아리랑, 농악을 미국 소수민족(?)의 문화이니 유네스코 세계 문화 유산으로 등재 할려면 할수 있겠네요. 미국에서 한국문화를 조금 단어를 변경해서 미국 무형문화로 등록하고 올린다면 말이죠.
이 뿐만 아니라 중국 드라마에서는 최근 일부로 삼계탕, 김치,한복, 백제 바둑판(목화자단기국-한국소나무재료)을 자국민에게 보여주고 중국 기원인거처럼 보여줍니다.
거기에 제가 일본에서 직접 봤던 일본 전통가옥과 풍습 문화도 중국꺼인거처럼 그려져 있구요.
(물론 일본이 당, 송, 한반도 여러 나라 영향을 받은것도 있겠지만 중국 또한 한족이 아닌 북방민족계인 몽골,여진 만주, 거란, 선비, 동이족들의 식민통치를 통해 그 문화가 융합되고 인도, 이슬람 페르시아의 문화도 교역을 통해 영향 받아 당시 문화선진국 지위를 누릴수 있었지요. 근데 마치 처음부터 한족(화하족)들이 모든것을 발명하고 자신들 기원이라고 오랫동안 거짓말을 하면서 거짓도 오래 말하면 진실이 된다라는 것을 믿는 듯합니다. )
웹상에서는 많은 중국인들이 태극기, 태권도, 한복, 온돌, 농악, 부채춤, 윤동주(한글로 일제에 대항한 시인)을 중국기원이고 중국인이라고 하는것을 보았습니다.
고구려,백제의 역사를 중국의 역사라고 댓글을 달고 실제로도 중국내에서 공식적으로 중국 학생들에게 가르키고 있다는 영상과 중국역사책으로 발행된 고구려,백제 책을 영상을 통해 보았습니다.
점점 중국 역사서의 갯수가 몇십년전에 비해 만리장성이 늘어 나는거처럼 늘어나고 있다고 합니다.

Dr. Mark Peterson, we can say that Buddhism came from India but actually, Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal. Lumbini is located near the borderline between India and Nepal. It's true that Buddha traveled to India after he realized the "truth" under an oleaster tree in Nepal. However, the big country India does a lot of P.R that the Buddha was born in India and is an Indian which has made Nepalese furious about it. Therefore, whenever, we meet Nepalese in Korea, they emphasize that Buddha was born in Nepal and is a Nepalese. There are many Buddhists in Nepal. I visited the site of Buddha's birthplace and his palace in Lumbini, Nepal.
Nepal did not exist at that time and Nepali is not an ethnicity, so it doesn’t make sense to say that Buddha was Nepalese.

India didn't exist at that time either. Indian is also not an ethnicity. Historically nobody uses the name India/Indian, it was coined by British in 19th century. But in modern's day border, he's Nepalese. Not to mention, Nepal back then were native Kirati tribe, Sino-Tibetan people, different from North Indians or Dravidian South Indians.

I feel like there's a misconception of WHY China entered the Korean War. One key reason is because during the war itself, the US was beginning to encroach into China's northern territory, which understandably was a major cause for alarm. Bombs had actually landed into Chinese land, and for security reasons, they had to intervene to push the line back to the 38th parallel. Of course, there's also differences in idealogies back at that time, but I'm not a fan of the two ladies pushing the blame of not having "One Unified Korea" to China, when rationally speaking, if someone is encroaching onto your space in a fight that isn't really any of your business, it's normal to retaliate. See the Attack on Pearl Harbour; it's only after that happened did the US intervened and retaliate by bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
And imho, I feel like the whole disagreements between Koreans and Chinese were blown out of proportion. It is undeniable that Kimchi and Hanbok is Korean, but it is a fair assessment that these two aspects of Korean culture had been influenced by Chinese culture (as what the two ladies mentioned, China did influence Korea in terms of language, so it's natural that the food and clothing was influenced by them as well, particularly from the Ming Dynasty). And it is possible that there were meanings lost in translation that worsened such disagreements between Koreans and Chinese. There's also a key issue that was left undiscussed, which is the rise of cultural confidence among Chinese youth, which may have resulted in "obnoxious" behaviour, and I feel like it's a fundamental talking point to understand the issue better.
I had hoped that this video would have been a objective view on the issue, but tbh the Korean lady (Yoonji) was already entering the conversation with animosity, which made the discussion turn rather lop-sided. I don't fault her for being vocal about it, but I would really have preferred it if a more open-minded pov was introduced.
She represents the thoughts of most Korean young people nowadays to a certain extent. But if these young people go back home and ask their parents or grandparents, they will know what the Real Korean Culture is. Japanese people have good feature, they admit inside that some of their culture started from China. While Korean people don't. For example, Hanbok and Chinese Hanfu. Just like the Korean Drama mentioned in this video, in this drama, you can see how the Hanbok, hair styles, palace look like. But now, Korean people copy Chinese Hanfu and hair styles in the design (Those designation details are from some other dynasties of China, and has the historical documents can prove, but Korean people copy these and declare these are their Traditional Hanbok). That's why Chinese anger at them. So many things they don't have decades ago but now they are coping.

중국에 살고 있는 많은 소수민족들중 조선족도 포함되어 있죠,,,그렇지만 그들의 뿌리는 대한민국입니다. 그들이 한복을 입고 김치를 먹는건 그들의 조상이 대한민국 사람이라는 증거일뿐이지...중국의 소수민족이 한복을 입고 김치를 먹으니 중국문화라고 주장할수 있는 근거가 되지 못한다고 생각합니다. 예를 들어 중국으로 귀화한 브라질 선수가 브라질 음식을 먹고 브라질 전통의상을 입는다면 그것도 그럼 중국문화가 되는건가요? 그렇게 우길수 없는거잖요.....

저는 이렇게 생각합니다.
소수민족은 그 나라에 사는 정말 인원수가 적은 민족으로 그 나라의 구성원이고 조선족의 경우는 그 뿌리가 대한민국이라서 소수민족이라고 하는 것은 중국의 주장을 받아들이는 것이라 생각합니다. 예를 들면 묘족이 중국 외에 다른 국가를 가지고 있나요? 그 어떤 소수민족이 중국 외에 다른 나라를 가지고 있나요?
조선족, 고려인은 강제이주 당하신 분들의 후손이고 그 분들의 뿌리는 대한민국이며 국적은 살고 계신 나라가 되겠지만 교포면 모를까 소수민족은 아니라고 생각합니다. 재일, 재미 등 재외교포 및 후손들이 계시지만 중국을 제외하곤 소수민족이라 칭하지 않으며 소수민족이라는 단어를 조선족에 적용하는 것 부터가 동북공정, 문화공정에 젖어드는 것이 아닐까 합니다. 단어에 대한 define도 좀 필요하지 않나 생각합니다.
역사적으로 중국이 대국이었던 때는 모두 외부침입시기였고(원, 금, 청) 그들은 오랑캐 국가라 문화라 여기지 않고 당, 송, 명의 문화만을 칭송하면서 외부문화인 한국의 문화는 왜 관심을 가지는 건지 말이 안됩니다.

윤지가 잘못 알고 있는 것이 있다. 중국이 한국보다 인구가 수십배이고, 경제규모도 열배쯤 되지만 군사력은 약 2배 수준이라는 것이다. (이것만으로도 세계 기준으로 굉장히 높은 것이긴 하다) 그만큼 한국의 군사능력은 매우 높다. 중국은 넓은 국경을 가지고 있고, 지켜야 할 요충지가 많으며, 인도처럼 매우 사이가 안좋은 나라와도 맞닿아 있기 때문에 전 군사력을 한국에 쏟을 수 없게 되고, 최대한 많이 온다 해도 절반 정도라고 했을 때 한국을 이길 승산은 없는 것. 또한 이 계산에 미군은 넣지도 않은 것이니 더더욱 가능성은 줄어든다. 다시 말해 동급 전력인 대상을 쳐들어갈 바보는 없는 것이고, 미군까지 더한다면 사실상 앞서는 전력을 가진 한국에 침공한다는 것은 어불성설이 된다. 여기서 또하나 감안해야 하는 것은 뻥카. 즉 중국의 함선이나 비행기는 선진국들의 인증된 스펙과는 다른 뻥카들이 수두룩 하다. 예컨데 세계 최고의 조선기술을 가진 한국에서도 몇년이 걸리는 (동급) 군함을 중국은 해마다 찍어냈던 적이 있다. 이게 오래된 일이 아니라 불과 지난 몇년 사이에 일어난 일이다. 중국에서 건조된 배가 갑자기 운항 중에 갑자기 두동강 나고 하는 사건이 괜히 일어나는 것이 아니라는 말.

I recommend you study the histroy of the rulers in China. I expect you can see the fact more concretely. They never called themselves China but very short term.

@@sosoable Koreans don't go around touting and promoting sushi as their own traditional food. There is a BIG difference between sharing and STEALING. Also, the approach of making paocai and kimchi is fundamentally different. Go research about fermentation and sterilization process for both of them to better understand. Furthermore, rice is known as a basic grain product with no other cooking/seasoning involved. That is why people don't go around saying some other culture stole rice. That is like saying someone stole and copied water. However, when it comes to food with actual complex cooking/preparation, one culture can't just start copying it and lie about it's origin. It is bad enough that China is trying to steal kimchi, but they also twist facts and promote kimchi as their own. That is such a juvenile pathetic move by China.

예를 들어 家집(가) 라는 한자가 있죠.
집 안에 있는 돼지가 있는 상형 문자인데 중국인들은 집에서 돼지를 키우지 않았답니다. 우리의 선조들이 뱀을 쫓기 위해 집에서 돼지를 키웠으며, 그것이 제주도에도 남아있는 거라고 해요. (최근까지는 화장실에서 돼지를 키웠죠)
한자를 동이족이 만든건 중국의 학자들도 인정한 사실입니다.
한국어를 글자로 만든 것이 한자이기때문에 우리말로는 한자를 한음절로 읽을수 있지만 중국어로는 그것이 불가능 해요.
그리고 일반적으로는 말이 먼저 생기고 그 후에 문자가 나타나는데 중국어와 한자는 그 반대라고 합니다.

Your point of view is the evidence that Korea stole Chinese culture.
There may indeed be a few Chinese scholars who say that Chinese characters were invented by Dongyi people (whether this is true history or not is not discussed for now). However, the definition of Dongyi in different periods of China is different.
The invention of Chinese characters was earlier than the pre-Qin period. Before that, China collectively referred to the wild land east of the Central Plains as Dongyi, which mainly included the land within China that had not yet been unified. In other words, even if he said that Chinese characters were invented by Dongyi people, it has nothing to do with Korea.
After the Qin Dynasty unified China, China collectively referred to the Korean Peninsula, the Japanese Islands, the Ryukyu Islands, and some of the land that China had not yet unified as Dongyi. During this period, Korea was only a part of Dongyi, and Japan, Ryukyu, and some of China's territories were also Dongyi.
Dongyi in different periods had different concepts, and Koreans just stole the concept and claimed that Chinese characters were invented by them, which is ridiculous.
Similarly, Korea claimed that part of China's culture was also invented by them for similar reasons.
