I swear TES Legends has amazing writing and of all of the stories are great. Btw, since you were confused about the main story, in the lore, after Oblivion everything pretty much went to hell (ironic) and the High Elves invaded the main land to capture everything for themselves, the emperor at the time, Titus Mede the second (the same one you meet in the Dark Brotherhood questline in Skyrim), works with you the main character who is a Blades member (pretty much the elite guard) to try and stop the High Elves. At the end, they won the fight but lost the war which ended in a truce heavily favouring the High Elves. You hear about these events (and pretty sure they're in a book too) in Skyrim but with the fact that the main character doesn't exist and all of his feats are instead given to the emperor cause the MC was just there by luck to help and they wanted to scare the elves by making the emperor look strong and fearsome. I wish the story of the protagonist would get adapted either into a fully fledged TES game or a show that uses the ESO trailers CGI for looks.

As an eso veteran. You are 100% correct about third person. The reason why is because it makes seeing attacks way easier and it makes positioning in fights easier. Ive seen some people say eso combat is bad compared to the other tes games which is just incorrect lol.
One thing i noticed is how much Skyrim has influenced the spinoffs that came out after it. With ESO the compass is essentially the same as Skyrim, and how in blades models are ripped straight from the game.
Skyrim to TES is what the MCU is to Marvel comics: Everything after it is gonna be based on it and be related to it somehow. I just hope that TES VI won't be Skyrim 2.
I recently finished Shadowkey and really enjoyed the experience. I did a melee playthrough and want to go back as a spellcaster. Since the drops are set, you can go pick up some high level gear or spells from late game dungeons early if you know where to look!
While upgrading buildings does take a lot of time in Elder Scrolls: blades the real monetization comes from crafting gear. Weapons and armor can be made of different materials, and as you level up you unlock higher quality materials to make gear out of. But gear you find in chests is random from any quality you have unlocked, so even at max level you will still be finding iron weapons and armor that are barely worth selling to the store. So you can't rely on questing or even buying chests with real money for good gear. Instead you have to spend hours crafting a piece of equipment, and then spend hours enchanting it. But even then you can get unlucky. When you enchant gear you choose the primary enchantment and can get random bonus enchantments. If you gear has no bonuses or bonuses that aren't useful, you have to craft a new one and start all over. And you need a wide variety of weapons for different enemy types and a bunch of armor pieces, so you have to do this a lot.
This is an insanely good video, you played games that I never knew existed, even as a massive Elder Scrolls fan. And you gave them all a fair chance which I really respect and explained them all really well
I never played mmorpg’s. I got ESO because as an absolute Elder Scrolls fan boy the idea of the ”entire” Tamriel t my fingertips was incredible and the idea of going way back in time to see that era of Tamriel. Now a little bit later I’m min maxing the living fuck out of my new DK build to absolutely stomp on other players in Cyrodiil PVP. It’s a great game, if you want you have countless hours of story content to play without ever even realizing it is an mmo game or you can spend countless hours building your character just right for end game trials or pvp. There is something for everyone.
you can sneak archer in eso too all you have to do is use nightblade class (free) use shadowy disguise morph of shade cloak in the shaodw skill line. once you use this morph you can heavy attack with bow and get some crit dmg with some vampire skilling passives. i also recommend you use merciless resolve as another "Bow" from the assassination skil line
I learned the other day there is a creation club reference to redguard in Skyrim a quest called dead man's dread you can get his sword and outfit as well as have his pirate ship as a player house
Legends definitely is one of my favorites. Not just for the stories (I bought Return to Clockwork City because I was impatient and wanted to play with its cards NOW), but the puzzles reminded me of the Challenges in Pokemon Stadium 2 in TCG form, where you have to think for a while about the mechanics and it's both a puzzle and a tutorial. I LOVE when it does that kind of thing. I still haven't completed one of the Solo Arenas yet, but when it's a Madness Arena I tend to do well-- you don't get a normal draft, it's selected for you randomly and you can swap things, so you're at the mercy of RNG and how many obscure mechanics you can pull off. Somehow I do best in that randomized madness, I think my best was 6 enemies before I got wiped out.
If there's one thing I'd like to see now that Microsoft owns Bethesda, it would be a reintroduction to the spin-off concept via their various owned studios. Obviously the main thing is more Obsidian Fallout, but there's so many different versions of the earlier spin-off concepts before they became cashgrabs that could be done. Different types of RPGs, different genres, stories like Redguard, all sorts of unique stuff.
Dude I always wanted to play those travels games. I didn’t have a cell until 08 and by then you couldn’t really get it. I was surprised to see you actually got those in.
Nah. Skyrim isn't really an rpg anymore. Well never see a game like daggerfall or oblivion again. Its a populist game. Todd Howard keeps destroying the elderscrolls lore by dumbing down every game so it can have a wider audience.
Honestly, Redguard was a bit outdated graphics-wise already when it came out. The first Unreal game especially helped raise the standards for visuals in PC games. It was still pretty fun back in the day.
Honestly I would love to have an elder scrolls spin-off that is essentially like the new Vegas of elder scrolls. Like imagine if it took place in Orsinium and it focused on the orcs and the different tribal politics! I liked Orsinium in ESO. But imagine playing a game where you are a champion of Malacath and you have to unite the Orsimer tribes to fight against the champion of Boethiah, The Ebony Knight!
cool video! ive actually done this before, without recording it. that venture definately made me question what kind of elder scrolls fan i really am after despising most of these games lol
We will have time to replay all these games 20 times before elder scrolls 6 is out, the new game hasn’t even been fully started yet as the team for Starfield is still busy working and can’t move to ES6 yet. See you in 11/11/2030
I don't know if anyone has already said this here, yet I want to put in my two cents as well: The Elder Scrolls Online is canon that adds a lot to the lore, so I would call it one of the Main Games
I've had a few people chime in with a similar sentiment. My reasoning for not including it as a main title is because it was made by a different team from the team that makes the numbered titles and it has a lot of very different design choices. That being said, Bethesda has a way of blurring the line between what can be considered a main game and what can be considered a spin-off. Just look at Fallout 😅
I got 4.2k hours on ESO, and yes, its still fun, I've only ever used ESO+ for in total 4 months at a time If you learn some workarounds for the craft bag and know when to use the free ESO+ week to your benefit, you can just enjoy the huge game itself If you are interested i can write some tips here :D
Your conclusions on ESO are crazy to me. I spent thirty minutes in that game and thought "This Is Not An Elder Scroll, This Is An MMO" and never returned.
I would still love to see Stormhold, Dawnstar, and (especially) Shadowkey remade in a full PC engine. Even if it's just a Skyrim mod, it would be great fun imo. Were I younger with more time on my hands I'd work on such a project myself. Sadly, on my own it'd never be finished, but if anyone ever picks up that banner in earnest I'd gladly contribute.
@Niosai I get that. Before my family's laptop broke, we played Diablo II and III and Skyrim. I have a Samsung tablet that I got last month and decided to try Blades out. I am okay with the story and all that. I kinda like that you're an ex-Blade. It sucks that there isn't any long-range combat outside of the one-on-one combat, but it's what it is.
@@chrisfusion6945 You can buy the base game and get lost in it for hundreds of hours without ever needing to buy anything else. 15 major alliance zones, 5 alliance starter zones, 1 large group zone, 1 daedric realm, tonnes of delves, dolmens, public dungeons, and group dungeons, and of course the Morrowind chapter. There's so much content in just that one purchase. You don't even have to have the craft bag to make crafting a viable option, as you can use the bank to store the essentials. You really don't have a clue what you're on about.
I almost forgot PvP, which, while iffy at times, is absolutely huge, doesn't require any purchases outside of the initial purchase, and you could honestly make your entire experience of the game just PvP, both in the giant Cyrodiil zone and Battlegrounds. The base game possibilities are so vast.

Eso ranges from a good to amazing elder scrolls game depending on your love of the general world of elder scrolls but is undoubtedly a great mmo
I can tell your thanks is heartfelt and im happy to have been subscribed for over a month now i think, wooo! Upcoming creators who are humble and produce fantastic content like you are my favorite, thank you! I cant see all your hard work and i hope you know it doesnt go unnoticed by others im sure too! You da man!
Thank you, it means a lot :)
@@Niosai i just caught my typo but im sure you knew what i meant.. it was supposed to say i CAN* see all your hardwork haha but no worries dude, thank YOU for the content!!
Yeah ESO+ is great! Not only do you get access to all DLC, except the newest major expansion which would be High Isle, and you get crowns! You can then use those crowns to buy the DLC.
I had no idea you didn't get access to the newest one, but yeah, that makes sense
I think PSPblivion was to be set in High Rock set during the events of the Oblivion Crisis, Anticlare (the hub) is a High Rock city that appeared in Daggerfall
I kinda weirdly like the ES Blades visuals. Wouldn't mind seeing it in a larger, more open ES game.
I never felt like online was a spin off, especially cause it holds the history of tamriel well before the other games
It’s not just the content, you’re entertaining. I watch a lot of these videos, and I hate to say it but some people just don’t have the personality for this. You do
I appreciate that so much 😭
i havent played the newest dlc but i genuinely love ESO and usually find my way back to it atleast once a year. Its in a great place imo and highly recommend it to anyone who interest has been piqued by this video
The best thing about every elder scrolls game:
Music
It takes a lot of time to adequately experience enough of the game to get a good review. Thanks for finding and working out the installs on all of these, I know you were being modest about how buggy the older ones are from my own experience. Well spoken, clear, and easy to understand. This is the first video of yours I've discovered, I look forward to many more. Appreciate it dude!
I appreciate that! :)
I'm glad RUclips sent me your way! Your presentation is earnest and engaging, and you did a good job at explaining ESO's nuances in a digestible way (I'm a long time TES fan but haven't touched Online yet).
Happily subscribed.
Thank you :)
While skyrim and oblivion will always hold a special place in my heart, ESO was just too good for me, makes me wish I could go back and play it all over again for the first time
Everything about Redguard seems so cool except for actually playing it. 😅 I wish they'd remake it so we could enjoy the story, characters and lore without the headache of the gameplay.
47k isn't bad. Your warm heartedness sold me. I hope you continue to grow
Thank you :)
Love your appreciation of your audience and I love this series! Good shit sir 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hi Niosai! Been really enjoying your videos lately!
Your style of content is very engaging and entertaining and I can't wait to see more!
Love The Content! Keep It Up Man!
Holy shit! I just found your channel yesterday with your Soulcalibur and the original Elder Scrolls videos and then, BAM this hits. So yeah, the universe wants me to subscribe I think. I have a bit of a backlog to go through, and look forward to it... as well as newer vids. Keep at it man!
also, speed IS great.
Awesome timing! :)
As an eso veteran. You are 100% correct about third person. The reason why is because it makes seeing attacks way easier and it makes positioning in fights easier. Ive seen some people say eso combat is bad compared to the other tes games which is just incorrect lol.
Love the chat in the ESO segment, people just talking about the word Bussy lmao
One thing i noticed is how much Skyrim has influenced the spinoffs that came out after it. With ESO the compass is essentially the same as Skyrim, and how in blades models are ripped straight from the game.
Skyrim to TES is what the MCU is to Marvel comics:
Everything after it is gonna be based on it and be related to it somehow.
Shadowkey is legitimately good and it's a shame it's stuck on hardware that didn't fully succeed
Great video! So much content in the video but still felt like it flew by. Keep it up!
Thanks a lot! :)
Ahhh, now this is what I was looking for for a vid on ur channel.
Love your appreciation of your audience and I love this series! Good shit sir
this whole video feels like an alternate reality or a fever dream... weird and very interesting, so thank you
You missed one Game: The Smolder Scrolls Online, an official Web Dating Sim set during ESO
The sword animation in the battlespire inventory is the best thing
if youve really only been at it for a few months... you are killing it my dude my gosh
subbed. i like the calm voice over.
I appreciate that :)
Hoping to see "I played every yugioh" game.
It'll happen :)
@@Niosai ready for that GameCube rpg that ate all my time. Bandit Keith with a Union Jack bandana, priceless.
I think an MMO where you can sometimes just get lost in it and forget you're playing an MMO is the best case scenario. :)
Dude i admire the amount of time and effort you took on doing this video
you can sneak archer in eso too all you have to do is use nightblade class (free) use shadowy disguise morph of shade cloak in the shaodw skill line. once you use this morph you can heavy attack with bow and get some crit dmg with some vampire skilling passives. i also recommend you use merciless resolve as another "Bow" from the assassination skil line
I'm glad we can find ways to brute force sneak archer 😂
I love playing ES Blades, it's actually kinda good ngl
In the elder scrolls online there are bag merchants in every major city where you can upgrade your bag space for a fee. It goes up by ten everytime.
I've only ever seen the Stable master and he only upgrades it 1 slot a day
@@Forbidden-Spaghetti the bag merchants are usually in the centre of the city or where most of the shops are
If there's one thing I'd like to see now that Microsoft owns Bethesda, it would be a reintroduction to the spin-off concept via their various owned studios. Obviously the main thing is more Obsidian Fallout, but there's so many different versions of the earlier spin-off concepts before they became cashgrabs that could be done. Different types of RPGs, different genres, stories like Redguard, all sorts of unique stuff.
Wait when did that happen

I honestly really miss Legends. It was my fav digital TCG.
Is it no longer playable??
Edit: Ahhhh, development stopped
Dude I always wanted to play those travels games. I didn’t have a cell until 08 and by then you couldn’t really get it. I was surprised to see you actually got those in.
They're weird and janky but I'm glad I gave them a shot! Shadowkey absolutely deserves a remake, though
This video was more in depth than I thought it'd be. Good stuff
Thank you for letting me know!
The Elder Scrolls series has been around for almost 30 years and still stays very consistent
Crazy to think I’ve been watching you since 10k subs
That means a lot :)
I think giving Obsidian their own Elder Scrolls game would be awesome. I think they're focused on Avowed, though. Still, your idea is really cool!
cool video! ive actually done this before, without recording it. that venture definately made me question what kind of elder scrolls fan i really am after despising most of these games lol
Try Shadowkey! It's shockingly good and probably the most memorable of the spin-offs I played. (Unless you did try it and hated it lmao)
We will have time to replay all these games 20 times before elder scrolls 6 is out, the new game hasn’t even been fully started yet as the team for Starfield is still busy working and can’t move to ES6 yet. See you in 11/11/2030
It would be pretty cool to have the next game in hammerfell. The contrast of the desert with the tundras of Skyrim seems like the best option.
I think that may be why they're gonna go for it, contrary to the woodsy look we got in the original teaser
@@Niosai hammerfell Is MASSIVE I'm sure they could cram in a forest or two.
I got 4.2k hours on ESO, and yes, its still fun, I've only ever used ESO+ for in total 4 months at a time
If you learn some workarounds for the craft bag and know when to use the free ESO+ week to your benefit, you can just enjoy the huge game itself
If you are interested i can write some tips here :D
Once I can make room in my life for another MMO and get back into ESO, I might take you up on that!
Respect for actually tapping in and learning to play all these games 👏
The way you smash through these games collections is truly amazing!
And I still sometimes play things that aren't what I'm working on, too! 😅
@@Niosai What a machine!
there needs to be a modern elder scrolls adventure game. great opportunity for world building
I think a small, focused adventure like Shadowkey would be really cool!
I loved Redguard when it came out - great game.
I am SO glad I found your channel!! Deep dives tickle my brain man
Glad to have you!
Your conclusions on ESO are crazy to me. I spent thirty minutes in that game and thought "This Is Not An Elder Scroll, This Is An MMO" and never returned.
You have to go into it with the mindset that you're about to play an MMO, but I totally understand not enjoying that kind of gameplay style.
alright im intrested...ive played these all, seen them all played hundreds of times... but i like your energy kid u got my sub lol
AYYY thank you 😭
I would still love to see Stormhold, Dawnstar, and (especially) Shadowkey remade in a full PC engine. Even if it's just a Skyrim mod, it would be great fun imo. Were I younger with more time on my hands I'd work on such a project myself. Sadly, on my own it'd never be finished, but if anyone ever picks up that banner in earnest I'd gladly contribute.
I bet you'd get a ton of views if you did a long form analysis on redguard
hey! you forgot a game! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Very Special Edition... on the Amazon Alexa 😎
Shadowkey has an amazing aesthetic. Halfway between daggerfall and morrowind
Shadowkey absolutely deserves some kind of remake or at least port. It's super weird it's stuck on the NGage of all things
Big Shredder vibes for his ESO character. Love it XD
Blades definitely gets difficult as you progress. I've had to do some quests multiple times. Whew!
I'd probably play it more often if it was available on PC 😔
@Niosai I get that. Before my family's laptop broke, we played Diablo II and III and Skyrim. I have a Samsung tablet that I got last month and decided to try Blades out. I am okay with the story and all that. I kinda like that you're an ex-Blade. It sucks that there isn't any long-range combat outside of the one-on-one combat, but it's what it is.
Redguard: "Today I don't know if a game could get away with such a long intro."
Half life: *Shifty eyes*
100% Win Rate! 🤣
Dood. I'd say that's true cause your content has definitely Won me over 👍
Thank you! You can't have a bad win rate if you win then never play again 😎
ESO is really solid. If you look at it like a spin-off and not like a true TES installment, it becomes really fun.
It's solid if you have the hundreds of dollars to make it playable
