Life is Strange is an award-winning and critically acclaimed episodic adventure game that allows the player to rewind time and affect the past, present and future.

I am certain you have seen this comment multiple times, but I have to say the fact you are taking the hit and keeping the soundtrack in is freaking amazing. The music of LiS is such a big part of the game, and so many others have cut it. You just rock!

I agree. Many have cut it, and it cheats the reactor to the game and cheats the watcher as well, for they can't have a genuine reaction to some scenes, especially the great Mogwai track that's at the end of this episode, and I can think of one song in episode 4 which is so beautiful. Roamer is another LiS reactor who did this game recently and he kept in the music. Thanks for keeping it in. Looking forward to ep 4.

13:33 this is a nice "do what you want" moment the game lets you have, if you do let him see you, you'll have a nice but pretty sad conversation with him, he's drunk and he feels manipulated by the prescotts, he knows about the gun and he can't do anything about it

1:09:00 The game gives you those musical moments - moments of calm - to just sit back and chill. Don't feel bad about lingering on them. That's the point.
Don't be afraid to take your time and explore thoroughly. As you can see from the ending choices, there's a lot to do in each episode. There's no need to rush. This game is designed for you to step back and experience the story piece by piece, exploring every detail. You'll find that the game rewards you for taking your time and immersing yourself in its world.

43:24 - Minor detail that is intentionally hard to notice here. On Max's school record, it shows that she has an "IEP." It's shown in the bottom left and is peeking out from behind another piece of paper on top of it. IEP is United States talk for "Individualized Education Program." Many in the LiS fan community think that this points to Max being autistic. In order to "rightfully" quality for an IEP, she'd have to have some kind of learning disability at the very least. But see the next point for why people think her IEP is related specifically to autism.
1:08:52 - "I don't know if I was meant to get up sooner." Lol. No. No you were not. Play it how you want! Life is Strange specifically builds in "meltdown moments" or possibly "dissociation dives." Whatever you want to call them, these moments are built into each episode where Max can just sit somewhere indefinitely, let the music play, and chill out. In fact, in the first episode when she headed into the girl's bathroom, that's what she was heading there to do. Just rest her mind a bit. It's something a lot of people on the autism spectrum find that they enjoy which helps them focus and "recharge" for the next round of socialization. So, if you're enjoying vibing with Max, then vibe away!
2:09:53 - I don't know if you noticed, but your stats at the end here report that you did NOT help Alyssa. That's because, after helping her, you spoke with the trucker guy, then rewound a little too far undoing the moment you warned Alyssa, and then you didn't go back to "redo" the warning. Not a big deal, but something you may want to keep in mind going forward so you don't accidentally undo something you wish you hadn't.

@@kayluvsmusic1121 Haha. I was in the same boat. I never noticed it until someone else mentioned it in a comment somewhere. But I love these types of Easter eggs. And yeah, as someone on the spectrum myself, Max has major spectrum vibes.

Oh my goodness episode 3 is the one for me when… I was just a wreck for days actually, not expecting the game to ever hit this hard, and I think the wait for episode 4 to be released was just too long. I stand by the fact Chloe is one of the greatest video game characters ever.
1:08:23 You don't "should" anything. The game gives you the option to listen to the entire song for a reason. You can do whatever you want, if you want to listen to the song do it as long as you want, that's the point.

Have you watched geek remix? They’re my favorite for this specific game, they are the ones who got me into it with all their theories back in 2015
For all LiS games, the middle episode is the "fun" one. They uniformly have the sweetest content, the most smiles, gentle laughs and least stress. Cherish that. The remaining episode(s) always remind one what LiS is: built of thoughtful SAD. This is not a bad thing. Tolkien wrote that Middle Earth was sung into being by music that was indescribably beautiful and indescribably sad. I never understood how beauty could be so dependent on sadness. Until I heard John Williams' violin score for "Schindler's List". Until I played "Life Is Strange".....
omg, i watched plenty of LIS playthroughs and this is the first time I saw what happens if you pick “Rachel and Frank” after Chloe started to have a mental breakdown in the car, and the EMOTION that came out of that- Chloe showed a lot more vulnerability in this scene and how Max responds to that too😭😭😭😭😭
2:06:45 I just noticed... What if David became a Bus Driver instead of the Backwell' Security because he never met Chloe? Maybe he became a security to make sure she's safe
David the security guard was the only person still investigating Racheal's disappearance long after the official police investigation has closed down.
the ending of this episode FUCKED me up lol. theres something about strong hearted confident characters lose all of that spunk and just be reduced to something powerless.

The only reason I hesitated when the option "side with Chloe" or "side with David" popped up is because the game obviously wants you to side with Chloe... and there is always that easy suspect when dealing with crime stories like this. He was made out to be the bad guy from the start and I could tell it was a misdirect. I also got annoyed by Chloe so maybe thats why I wanted to side against her 😭
Last scene in this ep killed me the first time I played this, I had a similar reaction to you.
Can't wait for your play through of ep 4! It's a tough one to play through... but probably my favourite ep in the game.
The ending of this episode really got to me; almost to the point where I was reluctant to continue.
ive been a fan of LiS since release basically and currently on a replaying hyperfixation - stumbling across your playthrough has been so lovely and discovering your channel has been like discovering a new comfort zone. the way that you play the game so carefully and make sure not to miss too much reminds me so much of myself and its so nice to see how you relate to the characters, it's been like getting to know you as a person too. you have such a relaxing and comforting vibe, i've been refreshing your channel for more LiS! i can't wait to see you finish the game and hopefully play the others in the series
24:25 I was thinking about this the other day. At least for my school experience, we had lockers, but they weren’t used. You could ask for one and you may or may not have to pay, but usually you’d carry bags to class. To me though, with the… actions that happen in a lot of US schools, it always felt a little scarier having our bookbags on us because they don’t get checked unless it’s a drug dog day (once like every 4 months) and your bag got sniffed out. It was really intimidating too when I can say I had disgruntled classmates that made us feel uncomfortable. And knowing that… THAT is a constant risk here and not just in schools but everywhere… idk. But yeah idk why we have lockers anymore if they’re not even used.
These high school kids sure don't have much adult supervision.🤔
What you said during the bed scene... That why I loved life is strange. I was playing it on my own, and really took my sweet time to soak in all the feelings it brought me (took between 5-6h per episode). One of my favourite thing was those moments where Max just sits around and think or enjoys her time. I'm a guy, so some of the topics or experiences didn't touched me directly, but I was also a nerdy guy, not a very social person, and Max felt soooo relatable. And as you said, Chloe felt like the person I really wanted to be, but never could haha. This game made me feel nostalgic for something I never experienced in the first place. I really love that you take time to enjoy the atmosphere, and as other have said, I really love that you accepted to leave the music ! I'm enjoying your LP a lot !

Chloe’s iPhone background can actually change to Max instead of Rachel if you sided with Chloe 3 outta 4 times before episode 3.

I can pretty much assure you since I've played every version of this game on every console, the glitchy-ness and choppy-ness of some scenes are simply not fixable and just part of the original port of the game. I like to think of it as just part of the games charm.. lol

To be fair, lots of the glitches were introduced in the remastered version. Which is why most of us call it a cash grab. Due they didn't realy improve much and instead introduced a bunch of bugs. Altho most of them have thankfully been fixed since then.
I can't think of any bug i had in the orginal game.
@@zXSleeZy Really? that's interesting, yeah idk every single time I have every played the 1st LIS, I have never had a full smooth playthrough lol. The frame rate and cut scenes no matter what you do, are always a bit wonky🤣 I played the remastered on ps5 first and that was probably my best experience, I just remember nothing out of the normal besides the common choppy-ness especially in cutscenes i was talking about.
@@xerxes9929 Hmm the choppyness might've been the hardware too, if it's fps drops you're experiencing. I've not seen or tried ps5 version of remastered so maybe that was more flawless than PC version was. Pc version required lots of patching during the release.
Yeah maybe.. my point was mainly being I’ve played it on every available version on every console, including a really nice pc and an original Xbox 360 when the game first came out, and I’ve never had a smooth play through with none of these glitches or errors being present in some capacity. Sometimes it’s really bad, sometimes almost not even noticable.. that’s all I’m sayin❤️👍
i played this so many times and watched so many other people play it but this is the first time i seen them leave the lockers together. everyone else bails on chloe.

Honestly love your playthrough of this, it really feels like your loving the game and the characters, plus letting not just the music play, but to sit and take it in and enjoy the moment in and move on when your ready. Hope you continue with some of the other lis games after this these last 2 episodes 💖

Just so you know, you didn't save Alyssa from getting splashed anymore. You warned her once, and then later you rewinded time past that point and did something else. So she got splashed the second time around. On your next playthrough, try to play it like a ninja. Rewind everytime you do or say something suspect so nobody remembers you being nosy and leave no tracks. Balance that against making sure that every event you wish to happen does happen. But that's only on your NEXT playthrough.
You play the game in a natural way which is really cool to see. When I went back in time I did everything I could to not change history because I too have watched the movies. You went, "I have seen the movies, but I am also compelled to be Max in this moment and do the right thing." Applause all around. I suspect this is the more fun way of doing things.
What the bejesus happened there. I'm hopping this can be reversed, we love sassy Chloe.

I wish they made Warren more interesting for the people who prefer max and Warren. He’s just so absent from the main story, you can tell they push for max and Chloe more cause of their deeper connection

OMFG! I know i played this years ago but i hella forgot about the ending of this chapter I gasped so hard seeing chloe in a wheel chair and didn't even remembered it!
It took me a while to figure out that you have to water Lisa exactly once to keep her alive.
There is also a location where a spectral deer is visible in Out of Time. Its presence, as well as its location, is a subtle hint for what is revealed toward the end of the next episode..

To fix the screen tearing issue, you have to force v-sync via Geforce controls - I think this was an issue with nVidia cards for this game. I think there is a Steam forumn post somewhere that describes the fix in better detail.

I disagree. This version is much better than the remaster. The new one had awful glitches that they never fixed, also they cut the immersive credits out which i felt always hit hard at the end of the episodes, the shadows and lighting was off as well.

If you know how much suffering the LIS fans went through when they played this episode on release back in 2015, I was one of them, having to wait for a couple months for the continuation and speculating about what could happen next was a truly bizarre and fun experience, I honestly wish they kept the separate episode release format after LIS:2, anyways I hope you enjoy the rest of the episodes and I’m truly enjoying watching it again with you and all the other fans who might be watching/playing it for the first time/again🙏🤍

I did too, until she acted all rude toward Max. Chloe is very self centered and aggressive, I liked her with Warren a lot more.
Plus Chloe cares about Rachel and does not think of Max in a romantic way. She brings up Rachel everytime
@@LauraGS564 yes what you say is true. Then a better ship is Max and Jefferson. Here is my new theory. Mark Jefferson is the good guy, he's a hero. He likely got hired by the Prescotts to kill the time traveler who will destroy Arcadia Bay. A hint can be found in a deleted audio recording where Nathan screams: "listen to me, i'm not crazy, the storm will come", hinting that Nathan had time travel powers. So the prescotts new about the storm and likely hired Jefferson. Life is Strange 4 comes out in October, and is a sequel where Max and Chloe live on after they destroyed Arcadia Bay

@@Emmalition The problem is i do enjoy most of your content, and LIS is one of my favorite games so i enjoy watching LPers of them. I just feel like you're missing out and doing yourself a disservice not taking your time to explore and look at stuff. Like your first video you missed out on basically who everyone is. So you'll be less invested in the story.
But well as long as you're still enjoying the game that's alright.
@@zXSleeZy that may be so... I think it's worth taking into consideration how hard it is to create let's plays too... I still don't consider myself 'good' at this. I still feel new on the scene. I'm learning every day. It's hard to sit talking to a camera for over 3 hours, keep the story moving, trying to be entertaining, ensure you're understanding the game's mechanics and taking in the story while also playing and creating videos for other games at the same time. it's a real far cry from just playing by yourself, maybe on the sofa, where you have all the time in the world to sit and read the journals, explore every corner. Making videos of it is honestly really hard and however let down you feel by me, no one is a harsher critic than myself. I am anxious every upload that people will find flaws in my playstyle - I made this video on my day off work and wanted it to be a good one. I try to give everything to these playthroughs for the last 3 years and sometimes I miss stuff, or maybe don't know which things I should read... it's all part of this strange process of making gaming videos. I'm not perfect and i'm sorry if it's ruining your favourite game. I'm doing my best to be entertaining while enjoying the game for myself.

I've seen a few unfair reviews of the game due they never took their time with the game and just speed through the story while missing many important stuff.
I don't want you to get that same feeling for the game, since the series has lots to offer and great stories.
Yes i understand it's time consuming and hard to make content. I wouldn't be able to talk to the camera for 3 hours either. And trying to be entertaining, i feel like most content creators should just be themselfs and ppl who enjoy your personality will find themself your way. So i don't realy understand the trying to be entertaining part, i guess it's due the twitch generation and having to always compete. I personally enjoy more laidback and chill, which i feel like you're.
And ye juggling several games at once is something i've not realy thought about so thats also fair.
But overall i think your content is good. And now i also see your point of view of it, sorry if i came out to harsh, wasnt the intention.
@@Emmalition don’t listen to these people. It doesn’t matter who it is, literally EVERY LiS let’s play has comments from people saying that the creator isn’t taking the time to explore everything. Honestly, this is a game I feel should be played twice anyways! So keep doing what you’re doing, and then if you do feel the urge to play again you can take in all the small details on your own time. I’ve played this game at least 10 times and I think you’re providing an extremely entertaining play through :)
