Forever Skies is a first-person post-apocalyptic survival game. Return to Earth, ravaged by an ecological disaster. Fly, upgrade and customize your mobile high-tech airship base. Scavenge resources to survive, face dangers on the surface and hunt for viral pathogens to cure a mysterious illness.
You will build and customize a high-tech airship. It will be your home, workshop, laboratory and more while flying above the surface of Earth. Control and steer it towards the ruins of our civilization and mysterious anomalies. Manage your airship hull and its integrity. Extract and gather resources to improve your airship and make it uniquely yours.
Your scientific know-how will allow you to build and operate different machines. Analyze scanned items and reverse engineer lost technology. Research new ways of obtaining food and resources, discover new tools, and increase the chance of your survival.
Explore and extract resources from the ruins that were built up high to escape the dust. Surrounded by drifting debris caused by a strange anomaly, harvest it into raw materials to help you survive. Explore and discover the remains of our civilization. Find out what happened and why Earth evolved to a place where we lost control of our previous position at the top. Discover secrets of our past.
After descending below the dust, you will discover a strange new world, the planet's surface that changed in our absence. Face evolved fauna and flora and hunt for viral pathogens to cure a mysterious illness threatening your family.

Hey Josh, if you look at the outer platforms you get a prompt to "climb up" so you can get back onto the ship if its a little too high to jump back onto. You can't also pick up schematics for things you aren't capable of crafting currently or need crafting stations that you don't currently have. I've run into this also, you can see what all you've found in your menu though under the things you've unlocked and it tells you what station you need to craft it.
Just finished upgrading my ship yesterday, managed to find a storage shelf data card so I could stack boxes up. Word of warning, don't go upgrading floors with storage boxes on them, you'll lose the contents of the boxes! Also the condenser needs to face you to pick up water (little black panel on the front of it)
So I know it seems a bit late, but if you aim a ladder room at the floor of a base module, it will build down, if there is room below to put the new room. means you can build vertically without worrying about getting back into your ship. also, there are blueprints that require a different workstation to make, keep exploring the towers and you will find some really fun ones
it's also gotten me a couple times, that water condenser has a specific "front" spot where you remove the dirty water from, you have to make sure you place it so you can access the port.

I've often been accused of being full of hot air, so, well, here we are!
I love the new design of your skyship! Would you consider putting your control station, radar, deck guns, and lures on the bottom deck? You could place your bed on the upper forward viewing port. This way, you could have a better view of your landings.
So you can expand one core 4 times for a total of 2100kg, you need another core to go higher. Also note, the 2nd core needs to be 3 rooms to the side. So, 4 rooms wide for 2 core or 7 rooms wide for 3 cores. I have a 3 core maxed out to 6300kg.
u can find the "wrecked storage box" (big storage one) on the under dust area (near to the dangerous flower) 😅
it will give u 25 slot item per box..
and the "ship workstation" wrecked can be found on the windfarm/windmill area (separate platform from the main area)..

Josh, maybe the reason you couldn't build up is because the baloons are in the way. Maybe if you build back/sideway a long way and shove the balloon there then you can have a penthouses bedroom with a glass ceiling. Either that or swap out the layout, put the cockpit, stations and storage in the lower level and put the bedroom upstairs. Which ever you choose, that's gonna be a lot of work.
You can remove the batteries from the lighted towers to stop the flashing lights; once you are finished with a site.
You need to rotate your condenser so the black panel is facing you to get the water out dude.
Josh, not sure if anyone else already mentioned it, but the floor pieces are also the ceiling pieces. Also rooms can be more than one block high.
I still think you could build out to the sides (or rear) far enough, that you could build ladders to be able to then build ON TOP of the balloons! I think an unobstructed view from the top would be AWESOME!
A few rooms with a ladder and eight glass corners would make a perfect observation bubble.

Glass floor in the cock pit seems like the best place to put glass floor.

The catwalk over the viewing corner would count as ceiling, and thus as inside, Josh. Also, you can put catwalk out 2 squares, not just 1, so a bit more room, if you want/need it. you need a station to build the furnitures, I forget where I got it, it is mostly decorative, though I never got around to trying any of the 'storage' furnitures.

Good fun MrWoodle. Thank you for the tips :) I like building, and sometimes the survival gets in the way early game (but at least no zombies... yet, to get in the way). But great to see what you can accomplish :) Good Job Captain. Sail straight, Sail true. May the wind always be at your back :)
It wouldnt be a jawoodle video with out him ignoring the big red text box in the middle of his screen telling him why he couldnt add the ballon.
Just use the unstuck button for quick warp back to your ship

Hold up... You skipped how you got back on board. That was probably a funny few minutes, unless you automatically hit the "unstuck" button.
Honestly I think I'd put the bedroom up top and the cockpit in the lower section so its easier to navigate with your ship size and also getting off/on the ship...
Knowing how often this Muppet breaks his legs in 7 days I was looking forward to him just jumping into the void before finding that button. Really mad he pulled a Star Wars.
@@stevecole90099 I am also anxiously awaiting the long drop and sudden stop. I haven't actually seen anyone fall in the game yet or done so myself (had a few close calls though).
How effective is the snap setting while building?
The water thing is a little bugged you can only get water out of it from one side
It's not a bug, it's designed that way. You can't draw a glass of water from the back of your refrigerator can you.
@randogame4438 it's not a refrigerator it's a water still that you should be able to get water out of any side it's something with a glass jar not something with doors

i would like this game but 10-15 hrs of content is just not enough need to be at least 30-40 hrs for the money they are asking
