I am curious if oil shale is a thing. Since biome shifted he has still had normal green trees that shifted as its gone by. But i wonder if its all forest biome nodes in the area. Curious if this is the case
More than likely. Just like he doesn't have a Ranger hat for the barter bonus and is losing Dukes every time he sells stuff.

C’mon, it wasn’t everything. Well it was everything he sold, but he equipped it between traders.
If you want S-Tier decision making and strats you may be in the wrong place, but if you want a good laff.
Buys cigar, fails to make a bartering cap (Ranger or Enforcer) and fails to equip cigar immediately, and then buys and sells a bunch of stuff without it. The muppet is strong with this one.
There's a reason Muppet Treasure Island is on a constant loop in his head. ;)

Fit Box is an awesome base! Sizable roof, elevator from bottom to top, high up enough and an *awesome* balcony.
One of the best bases I made, if not, thee best!
You should put 1 or 2 mannequins at your bottom floor, so your "staff" can sell the coffee while you are on bussinestrips :-)
Spends the entire day chasing dukes instead of upgrading his base for horde night. Spent the entire week chasing cigars instead of making concrete. Guess Josh just wants to close the store and give in to the inevitable.
Don't forget rebuilding the double fighting positions after the shitshow of a horde night.
If you survive the next horde night, you're gonna need kitty treats! So many cougars!!

i really think you should have mined some oil shale last night and process it once you're able. There is not going to be another chance, and fueling your bike could get real expensive later on.
Mine some Oil shale, even without a chem station, once the Winter rolls in, you'll wish you did =) {We all believe you'll survive the next Horde}

While I think it is smart to get shales while they are still available, maybe he wouldnt really need it. He hasnt really ventured to any other town besides this one.

Like Pepperidge Farms, TFP wants you to remember a day when trader quests never existed, or the silly hoops you jump through to get free XP and other crap.

We made Fit Box our base in the wasteland playing the Australian Outback mod and it was one of my favorite bases.

I made a Fit Box into my Wasteland Base and it rocks. Roof is also a helo-pad plus farm plots.
Garage Doors operate with motion sensors and all that jazz.
I am curious about what happens if you honk at the trader while they are still closed...

Going with the sledgy, you SHOULD be crafting the highest tier food you can for the max stamina bonus.

You’ve mentioned lack of good things in trader inventory in previous videos now their low duke rewards. If only there was a perk that enhanced these things. Besides your only doing Tier 3 quest, the rewards are supposed to be subpar.
Admittedly it’s pretty big investment for Daring Adventurer but the gains are surprising. Especially the stuff they start selling. Besides Daring Adventurer is already highly optional meaning the rewards are technically more than adequate. I feel the rewards and stock should be less but Daring Adventurer more potent, like 10-20% more Dukes.
Hi Josh if you pick up all the plants and put then in the forge it will save you time as you wouldn't need to mine as much.

Wrench weights as they have steel. I think the traders/money/barter boosts are balanced enough. There are other tweaks the game needs, but not these. I do wish there was not a cap on how many of a type of thing you can sell them. I had a glitch in the matrix a few days ago and found about 10 steel spears doing missions. Why would they cap ammo and meds but not brass and cloth? They also pay dirt for certain things like most meds and food, but charge a lot to buy them.
I do agree the horn opening the traders doors and the armor mannequins should be standard in the game. I also think dew collectors should fill 4x faster in the rain and you should go 5% faster on dirt roads and 10% faster on paved roads with a perk to double that. Locking inventory in storages would be nice. The game needs and ending. I would love to see survivor NPC random events and POI (doing missions for stuff like weapon, armor, tool, and vehicle skins). I know that is hard to do. A dog that could be place (a dog house) in you base to guard that is revived with dog food or meds. I would like putting down a land claim block in a cleared POI to unlock doors, let switches open and close doors, and have all the appliances, furniture, and cupboards close and be usable. I also want to be able to build fancier doors (maybe costing double the wood) that are clean doors with no scrap nailed to them. Having blocks be grouped so you could scroll through them using the mouse wheel and shift so change between say all 60 degree wedges and rotate using CTL and wheel.
I like that the Ranger hat has the bartering as I typically carry enforcer glasses and put the cigar in there for bartering, but now I actually rock the cigar and carry one less thing. With the Ranger armor I am best with the revolvers and lever action. They are not the highest tier guns, but they are strong.
I'm going to be on the minibike forever likely but I do have the fuel saver mod and supercharger mod so it is not bad. Got the legendary Lever-action rifle and steel steel as well as legendary impact driver. I have tier 1 44 magnum and tier 3 hunting knife, but legendary Ranger armor. I also have maxed out workstations. A few more points (maybe 4) and I will have all the Perception perks I want maxed out. I'm on day 13. Still looking for a silencer extended and fuel tank though. A quad pocket mod would be nice too.
If you want a map with mostly large cities everywhere, Kage 848 had a cool map made.
I went for the tier 4 steel pick axe first because it's more beneficial. The steel shovel I did afterward, but I'm pretty sure any steel or even possibly a high tier iron shovel should be able to one-shot the soil. I haven't made the axe yet, but I'm no lumberjack and I'm still okay with my tier 5 iron axe with a wood splitter, fireman axe, and ergonomic grip mod.
I think I figured out the obsession with purple, it's the colour of Alexandrite the birth stone of Jawoodle.
I really wish you would have been able to team up with Deathwish Coffee for this series.

I think Traders are perfectly balanced. Because you can spec into getting more cash in the rewards, as well as increase sell price, and reducing buy price with both gear and talent points.
Hey Josh! I was wondering, when this series is done, if you'd mind if we added your coffee shop to the Compo Pack set of custom POIs? (with your signs, hopefully) Potentially thousands of people will download and use it. What do you think?

I am with you on the traders being pretty useless now. I am currently doing a No Trader playthrough. The only thing I am having a hard time with is the crucible/steel since most of the work stations I tend to raid for the books are in traders. Or many times I buy one from the traders before I can make it.
I don't know why but digging down in 7 days to die messes with my head and it feels like I get vertigo

I don't understand buying eggs. They're everywhere! lol I've also never bought dew collector mods cuz it seems like a waste of money. 6k on a filter when you have maxed out cooking speed? That cash is burning a hole right through those pockets. 🙂 With that said, loving the sign you put up at the end. It looks great!
As your loot stage gets higher the chance of finding eggs drops off a cliff fairly fast!

Spending 6 grand on a water filter seems like a total waste. Why even bother with a dew collector to begin with? Water and other drinks are so abundant I have never even built one.

You need to go mining more often at night my dude since ur not doing anything productive at ur base any way. Also u need to make all of the walls not wood like in ur crafting area, the floors r still wood and that is either brave or dumb.

I feel... I feel 7 days to die was so nerfed with the traders that the game became a bit boring, the only way to really make this game fun again is with overhaul mods, mods that changes quests and general gameplay. Like... yeah you can challenge yourself with different play styles, but at the en dof the day, you HAVE to make quests to pregress through the game, to get new traders and stuff, but the rewards for nearly die in tier 4 and 5 are not worth the effort, the rewards are just awful. Very rarely you get exactly what you want, if ever
