He could make every one of those tricks work without flaw. But he practised making them work incorrectly. It was said to be harder to do that then make them work well.
I remember seeing Tommy copper at the feista in Stockton on tees.he came on stage never said a word and the audience were in stitches laughing.r I p Tommy .
Yeah.... Tommy Cooper... Seeing back these clips I realise I can consider him as part of my nostalgic past. A real magical hero !!! A real entertainer... 'failing' to make real 'magic', but succeeding to make magic really happening! .... By making people laugh... And that folks is REAL magic! He made people laugh :) Healthy people, poor people, whatever people... EVERYONE's heroe.
When it comes to comedy, Tommy Cooper is the best. To be able to laugh in the way Tommy did always made me laugh. If ever you feel down in the dumps , watch Tommy and you will feel better.
The man was a Comedy Genius, years ahead of his time. Better still, his own brand of lame (and often fiendishly clever) magic tricks and their consistent failure would work just as well today as it did back when I was a boy. Come back Tommy, we need you more than ever!
Thanks for these great Tommy cooper vid uploads that I can't stop watching since watching the brilliant drama on ITV1 that brought back the memories of how brilliantly funny he was UK's Number 1 clown
A man went into Psychiatrist's office and said..."I am alway very sad and depressed and I tried everything but it won't go away. Please give me some pills!" Psychiatrist: " I give pills only as a last resort. Go and see Tommy Cooper. He's so funny that he'll laugh away your depression!" Patient: "I AM Tommy Cooper!"
I used to watch him. he was predictable week after week, with the same dull routines with London Weekend Television from 1968 to 1972 and with Thames Television from 1973 to 1980, bit too don’t you think?, also ready that he was a heavy smoker and drinker, so by 1980, did not give him another show.

Whenever I'm down all I have to do is watch Tommy Cooper and I smile and laugh
No matter how many times I watch this, laughing out loud is the only cure!
Incredible. One of the few people who can stand there and do nothing... and people still roar with laughter. Tommy always brightens a rainy day.
He could make every one of those tricks work without flaw.

Remembering the great
Tommy Cooper!
born on this day, in 1921.

I couldn't have put it better myself. Well said.

he was actually a very gifted magician
He was a member of the Magic Circle after all and to be a member you had to be able to make those illusions work.
Brilliant the best ever
Yes!

DAVID MICHAEL PYPER jag vill
he died on stage and everybody thought it was a joke,
what a way to go for this great comedian!
r.i.p. Tommy Cooper
That indian rope trick bit is probably my favorite bit with Tommy Cooper.
Tommy inspired many magicians
The only man who could make a career out of NOT doing magic tricks! 😂
True for 50 %……… Hè was a great magician , but the great thing about Tommy was , to make a great trick look so stupid , bútt genius!
Brilliant

One of uk finest!
The man was a true genius! Like we have André van Duin! But to be honest, André stole a few jokes from Tommy !
Still funny! Thanks
There's a vast connection between Cooper and Laurel + Hardy.
Stan's ignorance and Ollie's selfindulgance come together in one person.
i like Cooper---but not them

@@stankendall773 "P" ?
Stone rc. if he came back today. he would be all Bones. Every one of them funny
At 11:20 in comes one of the best sketches of Tommy Cooper.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCOUTMASTER
Brilliance
He looks as if he’s about to do a trick. Fools us by doing something completely different but then something actually happens.

Master of disaster
Funny!

Way back when dying suddenly while performing on stage was still unique.

Prachtig, wel een heel irritant ingeblikt publiek. Wie verzint dat????
Frans Barten
Geen nep , werd met live publiek opgenomen
Great lmao 😂 😂 😂
Prawns in aspic...............................
Prachtig, behalve het irritante publiek

Complete charlaton, not 1 bit funny.
Never known anyone get paid so much for acting daft.
About as funny as salt in a paper cut!
Saddo
Cannot see the humour - maybe back in the 60s but not now
I'll be honest I really don't think this guys funny and he relies on props
Millions would disagree with you.
You don't know old comedy , he's a legend
So why make a comment then?
Some people do not understand humor! Like Laurel and Hardy! Its very funny! If you dont like it? Maybe a funural is better for you ?
"People" today just don't get it, what a pity.
I used to love Tommy, but this is awful.
