First heard you in a bar my dad used to own in Schodack, NY when I was young. This morning 20+ years later your songs are still with me and this one popped back in my head. I hope life has treated you well. Thank you for your music and all you do.
This is one of my favorite songs. My town was just hit by two tornadoes and we are without power. While working in the yard cleaning everything up, I found myself singing this song on repeat. Not a hurricane but close enough.
I remember the first time I heard hurricane. I have ridden for years and even had the opportunity to ride the Hurricane. This song struck a deep cord in my sole. I loved the song and bought your CD loved every song on it. Your an amazing writer and singer and guitar master. Many years have passed . And re found you on you tube. Brought back memories. I'm 59 now and still ride but the slower bikes currently Harley Davidson Roadglide. Thank you David for your music !
This song is cooler than a frozen popsicle on a hot July night!! The melody moves me like few songs do! Just an acoustic guitar and David’s passionately singing! 💕🎼💕
This song’s about the addiction to adrenaline…the worst addiction there is…the only way to trigger adrenaline is to almost end up dead or severely Injured… _”you can get what’s second best but it’s hard to get enough”_ no, with adrenaline, *THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS ENOUGH* you just keep going until it kills you…
I got to ride a Honda Hurricane once. Just once. That was enough for me, way too much power in that throttle! But I've been listening to this great song over and over since it came out.
It was in a bar on Black Mt. A woman who was drunk wanted this song. I don't know if you made the parody up on the spot, but you singing, and her complaining was the highlight of the show
Had my Dad randomly play this song for me, and it hit me really hard. I love racing, it's something that I love more than anything else, and I so badly want to throw caution to the wind and drop everything to pursue it. But I learned about my love way too late to make anything out of it, and there's a part of me that won't let me throw my life away to follow something destined to end in failure. And now I feel like I'm trapped in college, being worked way too hard for things I don't care enough about, but still end up hurting myself and thinking about killing myself over. This song feels like everything that my heart wants, and everything that my head will never let me be. It's everything that I was made to be, and everything that the world won't let me be. It's the joy of seeing my dream, and the pain of knowing it will almost certainly never come true. I don't care about finding love, about money, about fame, or even about living past 30. I just want to race; to push myself and get better at it, but it seems like the one thing I won't ever accomplish. Tomorrow, I'll have to wake up and go back to the endless work that grinds away at my soul. It'll be a lot more painful because of how late I've stayed up listening to this. But for right now, it was nice to let myself feel, and to be content just racing on my little simulator.
i still love this great melody, acoustic guitar, astounding, song, of my BA Grad Year... :) 💜😊💫✨ but i hate motorcycles, with really good reasons... :/ &, the only 'speeding,' wothwhile, is in your mind !!! 💧
My dad loved this song when it first came out. We were a motorcycling family. Now that I haven't ridden in years, this song hits hard. But am I the only one bothered by the image here being a gsxr? Lol
Great song!! Awesome beat with David’s stellar vocals…💕💕

I never get tired of listening to this song, David. Without a doubt, it is one of your very best. Wishing you continued success, Steve.

There’s either a brush drummer or a keyboard set to sound like _tick-tick-tick_ under him
@@lect0n7I hear that now! Great song…💕🎼💕
Sitting with Kayla, Tessa and Sophia on a cool humid evening where I bask in the love of family! Best nights ever.
I wore out this cassette playing it in my Walkman between 1989 and 1992. Still love every song, but this one and "The Kid" are my favorites.
I second that ❤

better than eye of the tiger
When I hear this song, I think about a friend who tried to thread the needle on his Kawasaki 500. Unfortunately, he didn't make it.😢

David,
Saw you play this at the Coach House the late 80’s I think.
Thanks again! But how did you find me here?
