      I totally agree. I commented on an old video from last year about a TO product as I was not sure how to use it as I was getting different answers. I commented not really expecting a response from her and guess WHAT??? The next morning I had a notification that she responded. Melissa is the REAL DEAL. She is not here to be as you said a "clout chaser". So glad I found this channel and surprised she does not have more followers.

    About a year ago I started using Paula's Choice products. I have normal but sensitive skin and my main issue is redness. I started off with their Vitamin C booster and went from there. My skin has never looked better! Because I was new to these serums and layering them; I needed help! And I am so thankful that I found you and these videos! Thank you so much for explaining everything in detail and showing the application process. It's so very helpful! I love your videos!

      I'm happy to hear that you have a positive experience while using Paula's Choice products. Those are excellent skincare products! :)
      Could you improve your redness? If so, what have you been using?
      Also, I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my videos and find them helpful! :)

      Hello Anna,
      Thanks for the suggestions; I will do such videos soon.
      And as I already wrote José, I am unable to get products, and since I always want to include demonstrations of the routines that I am showing, I really need to wait for them to arrive. So I reordered The Ordinary, CeraVe and some other brands since they were so old that I couldn't use them anymore.
      Anyway, the delivery guy told me that they have issues and that it may take weeks to get them 😞. So what I am doing is rerecording some of my older videos with the products I have and including more information with Powerpoints.
      Also, I gave my skin a little break of all the products since I was recording for two years nearly daily 😜 I may do some other content with makeup and cryptocurrencies if things take much longer...
      Happy Skincaring 🥰 Hope you are doing great 🍷

    Hey Melissa, I was wondering if this is a good skin care routine for me
    I am 14 years old and have oily/combination skin and lots of pimples around my mouth, in between my eyebrows and on my forehead. these are the products I’m planning to use/buy
    •Cerave foaming cleanser
    •should I use a toner? And if so what do you recommend?
    •Paula’s choice 2% bha exfoliant
    •the ordinary niacinamide serum
    •the ordinary alpha arbutin 2% + ha
    •at the moment I use benzoyl peroxide spot treatment and I haven’t seen much results, do you have a better spot treatment to recommend with these products? Perhaps pimple patches?
    • Aveeno daily moisturising lotion (do you have a better moisturiser I should use?)
    •Neutrogena ultra sheer clear face sunscreen (morning)
    Also what order should I apply these all in?
    Thank you, also I love you videos!!!

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 года назад +3

      Hey! :)
      Do you feel the need of using a moisturiser?
      I only recommend using a moisturiser if you experience dryness.
      If Benzoyl Peroxide does not do much for you, you may have a better chance with Salicylic Acid or Azelaic Acid.
      I either recommend getting Paula's Choice Clear Anti-Redness 2% Salicylic Acid Exfoliant.
      Also, can you get Geek & Gorgeous products? They are pretty affordable and I like them a lot which could also be an option for you! :)

      Hello José,
      I am having a little break(down 😜). No, just kidding... mainly because I want to give my skin some time to recover from all the skincare products/combinations , but also because of supply chain issues. As a result, I cannot get the products I want; therefore, I am re-recording some of my older videos and including more information.
      I will upload a video today and in the coming days and hope that I will get my products soon. And thank you for asking 😃

      Well, The Ordinary and Paula's Choice have a 10% Niacinamide serum, both are great what mainly changes is the formulation/texture part. However, if you want to get a stronger Niacinamide serum, than I recommend getting Paula's Choice 20% Niacinamide.

      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 года назад +1

      Hey! :)
      How long is your beard?
      I recommend looking into either a Salicylic Acid Cleanser (like the one from The Inkey List) or a Benzoyl Peroxide 4%-5% Cleanser such as from Differin. However, Benzoyl Peroxide may bleach fabric and hair.

    • @umerzaheer15

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 года назад

      @@umerzaheer15 So, I recommend trying a 4%-5% Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser (Differin, Cerave or Panoxyl). Since it is a cleanser, you are not going to leave it on so it is less likely to bleach your beard, however, make sure to rinse it well.

    I have been using The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide, but thought that I should use a Paulas Choice Exfoliant after the Niacinamide? Have I misunderstood or is this correct order if using The Ordinary Niacinamide as it is quite watery. I have very sensitive skin and using The Ordinary Azelaic Acid at night after cleansing drove my skin nuts. I have discovered I can use it in the morning with no reaction at all and it feels very comfortable, so using it that way now!

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 года назад

      Cleanser - Toner - Exfoliant - Serum - Oil - Moisturiser - Suspension - SPF
      -> That's the order of application :)
      You are fine to adjust your routine accordingly to your needs and what works the best for you! Just make sure to adjust the frequency of your exfoliant to avoid 'over-exfoliation'.
