I've got an annoying little problem with two wireless Xbox 360 contollers connected to WIN1064 via USB dongle (two dongles are used, they can't connect at one dongle at the same time). Both are YTEAM 3rd party controllers, but work perfectly on their own. The dongles look exactly the same like in this video, but there is no button on the dongle, it connects automatically. I can connect both pads at the same time and they show up as two identically named "Controller (XBOX360 For Windows)" devices in Windows gamepad tab. The one with the dongle connected later to an usb port is detected as 2nd gamepad. But both have the green light lit at the upper left corner (so none of the devices "thinks" it's gamepad 2).
So far, so good. But after staying unused for some minutes the gamepads turn themselves off. I can ofc turn them on again and easily reconnect them, but they pick and choose to which dongle they want to connect. So former Xpad 1 is now often connected to dongle two and all emulators and games won't respond to its messages in single player mode, while Xpad 2 is connected to dongle 1. Xpad 2 has slight issues with the dpad, also sometimes batteries aren't charged to same degree, so I'd like to keep the specific gamepad connected to the specific dongle in the order I chose. But I can't find any way to make the pairing and device ID's stay permanently. They re-connect with the dongles at random, their signals seem to be identical.
Does anyone know of a tool to identify the controllers pemanently as pad1 and pad2 and forces them to only connect to a specific dongle?
Hello, how did you get your controllers to sync at all, I got some used dongles online and they have no sync button to sync with my controller, so I can’t use them at all.
@@geo1989 My 3rd party controllers sync automatically (and lead to this re-sync problem I described), you just have to have the dongles attached to the system and the controllers will connect without pressing any button on the dongle if they got batteries inside (green light around center button of the pad will stop blinking and stay fixed at one corner if they are near and connect to the dongle). But it only works with this specific model by YTEAM, it won't work with many other 3rd party controllers or original X360 pads, AFAIR this was even told by the instruction notes of the device. Probably the used dongles you bought are similar and will only work with a specific 3rd-party controller, too.

I've tried this many times. I make sure I am using fresh batteries but when I insert that battery case I don't get anything. No Flashing green lights. I have the dongle inserted to. It come up in the list of controllers in device manager but it still does nothing. It's dead. Any ideas? Or is it useless?

I have 4 of these gamepad. But I have a problem with them. Randomly and slowly, the gamepad stops responding. The key starts to have a big lag until the gamepad stops working. These never stops synch with the dongle; the light stil turned on. After minutes, it starts working again. Do anyone has this problem too? thanks

i followed this guide but my controller connects and disconnects every two seconds from my pc
doesn't work for me at all, I follow precisely and have brand new powerful batteries I just bought right now, but the controller lights just continue blinking indefinitely. After binding attempt and lights rotation step the start blinking fast together with the xbox360 usb receiver, but then they both stop blinking fast and just the controller is blinking slowly. no idea how to beat this.

@@nostalgictitan9076 the solution is that - the 360 usb receiver was never identified to begin with
what you must do is WIN+X device manager and find the unidentified device, click on update drivers then "I have disk" and chose "let me choose locally from a list of devices" -> 360 peripherals -> version 10.0 xbox 360 usb receiver -> finish, then your receiver is finally detected correctly. You may have to do this every time you reconnect or at least every once in a while, but once it's done the controllers don't give you hard time anymore and just work!
the drivers already exist within the latest windows version, no need to download them or anything like that.
it was so frustrating till I accidentally discovered that.

I have the same problem, but this solution didn't solve it.
My controller lights continue rotating after trying to bind it to the receiver and it doesn't connect. Device manager identifies the receiver as "xbox 360 controller for windows". I'm not sure what to do. Should it read "xbox 360 usb receiver" instead? I don't think I have to update drivers as it doesn't appear as an unidentified device. I tried searching the net, but nobody else doesn't seem to have had the same issue.
Question: If the PC is turned off and I press the X button will the controller power on the PC just like it would have done for the console? Thanks in advance

awesome was wondering why my controllers wernt working with my xbox controller. I know exactly what kind of bullshit this is. The fake adapter doesnt have Microsofts official wireless typing (of course) and instead uses generic bluetooth to connect. I hate China.
