Saw this truck at the ATCA show in Macungie today, with the Crudebaker in tow behind it, but for some reason it didn't click that it was the same one in this video. I didn't realize it until after I got home and looked back at my pictures and saw the "K" on the hood was tilted. Awesome truck! And that Crudebaker was awesome too.

Wow I commend you and your handy skills! When I saw the gold Bulldog on the hood, my first thought was a bulletproof 237 Mack with a 5 speed! That would be a great toy hauler combo. But the driver train you engineered sounds fine! But if that was mine I would have stuck with the 5 speed 237, or even a 300 EconoDyne! That would have been amazing! As I've driven those R Model Macks well over a half million miles, all throughout the 80's and 90's! Yep one stack Mack with a window in the back. We hauled scrap metal from R.I. To Reading PA, then beer back from the Brewery in Fogelsville PA. That was at least 30,000 lbs load out, as close to 40,000 lbs back! With a 300 5 speed! I could run with the large cars in 4-5 gears, never going under 40 mph on the longest grades! All while getting 6-8 mpg!!!

I worked on a road construction project in SE Iran back in the late '70s, as well as some DM800s we had a R type hauling a bowser which had been bought locally second hand. On the steering wheel boss it said it was 'Custom Built for the San Jose Meat Company' in Hayward Ca.

I had never seen any beauty in an R model. This is one nice setup tho. While pulling freight I always wanted an Emeryville International Harvester to make a toy puller out of or a model B Mack.

Kinda neat. But it's an automatic? Four speed? Like a school bus, lol! 10-speed Road Ranger and it would be sweet. Externally, it would look a LOT better with some nice tear-drop Alcoa's, or even bullet-hole Alcoa's. Looks too 'plain' with the painted white wheels. Alcoa's would really make it shine and dress it up nice!! Neat job you did.

My buddy just bought this truck. He brought it over to the house the other day to show me. Lots of work went in to this truck. Truth is it’s a lot more than it looks. TBH at first you can’t figure out what’s different,,,, then you start looking closer and you realize that it’s pretty much everything.

David, great job on this rig! I love this model of Mack. I've always wanted to put one of these cabs and front clip on a Ford F-350 crew cab frame, with a sleeper and a pair of beer kegs for tanks, and make a mini-Mack out of it! Use it for pulling a 5th wheel RV.

Thats pretty cool. I would have deff kept it standard shift though, with maybe the small road ranger 13 speed that had the deep reduction. The ability to have the super low gears if ever needed, or dropping the rpms way way down when they arent needed.

Ruined a good truck by chopping and channeling it . The finished truck doesn't look right. Proportions are wrong. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Very few vehicles look good chopped. Or in this case, butchered.
