This video needs to be retitled as it's "righting" a pontoon boat not flipping which would occur before needing to be righted... You know it's one thing to illustrate with video but English is fundamental... if you read...
Superb Media Content Creator Exactly, I immediately stop the videos whenever I realize that the title is misleading so as to not waste my time or increase their view count! And of course I never subscribe to a channel that practices that!
There's something wrong with that boat. Either the port side pontoon has a leak or that second story is made from 1/2 inch plate steel. The moment that thing broke center, it should have popped upright. I can see a bit of a delay to get the water off the top deck, and maybe that cooler is full, but that thing seems awfully heavy in the rear. Not a good design.
"The moment that thing broke center, it should have popped upright" I'm guessing they didn't want it to pop right up. First at 1:29 you can see the right boat has a rope attached to the top of the pontoon boat. Second, it takes awhile for the water to drain out of the play pen and seats. You know the foam seat cushions are just saturated with water too. I don't think that top was factory, way too big and high. Add too many people on top and an ignorant captain this is what you get.
It was still full of water on the deck preventing it from centering once flipped upright. Once water drained it slowly centered. The upper deck is way too heavy for that length of boat to begin with. If you have 2-4 people up top it's going to flip again. upper deck should be narrower than the bottom deck to prevent this.
🤣 Look at how low those pontoon tubes are sitting in the water towards the stern. That boat, empty, was overloaded and top-heavy. Need to completely remove that top deck, and look for ways to reduce weight elsewhere.
I have never seen a flight deck on a pontoon boat before. was it the jet wash from outgoing aircraft that made her flip? or was it just the ignorance of commander Mcyellstomuch
I had the bow of a 20' pontoon underwater from a large wake. First instinct was to power thru it but realized the prop was out of the water. Had to just hold on till the bow came back up. Scary stuff ...
These are Lightweight Amatuers, with No Clue to using a WAY easier method! The Craft on the right should just use a series of Anchors...3 or more, Broadside (Abeam) , to Stabilize. Then the Pulling Boat on the Left, should use a Winch or two to Keep every inch of progress and not lose Ground (Water LOL) Having that Additional Craft there, when they could have assisted on the Pulling side, would have done this Task, so much easier! While they were Successful, there is an Easy Way, and a Hard way! I say they did it the Hard way, OK? Armchair Quarterbacking, you might say? How about 3 times I have successfully done MY Method Faster, and on the Ocean with Waves...and used Them as well, to right those Cats and Tri-Hulls (Trimarans), with Masts as well!! If you are watching this, just know there are easier ways! I appreciate they Video Taped it, and Back when I did this, to Assist Boaters (No Charge BTW) we did not have the Internet! Hopefully I did add some usefull insight! And thanks for putting this Video up, as well! Just being Critical to help others! This Happens more often than folks know about!

RUclips has a lot of videos of people doing stupid things in boats. People often survive. But very few videos of people doing stupid things in airplanes . . . maybe because survival is much less likely. I have a boat that only tried to kill me once and it wasn't even a close call.
Please tell me how that floating terd got upside down? Speed Could not have been a factor! Alcohol! Now were talking. Just the facts please! Nice job sea tow!
The 15 people that were on the upper deck were rescued without injury.
No 2 people missing 1 die the rest were rescued
Looking good Bobby. Thank you Bobby
Pontoon boat recovery would b better title.
The Captain should always go down with his ship and never let go of the wheel no matter what happens even if it means getting a mouth full of seaweed.
so....how did it "flip" over?
man what are people thinking!? just looking at it you can see this thing is top heavy.
Come on Bobby, lay on that throttle!
hahaha don`t know about bobby , but tommy got a hell of a boat , twin engines , pulling the pontoon and the other boat !
A little top heavy ?
"Hold my beer" " watch this"

Yup, I was thinking I was going to see how some idiots managed to flip a pontoon boat.

Has anybody else noticed multi-hulls are more stable upside down? Maybe I have stumbled on something here
Center of gravity is way too high ...
I swear I just had 3 beers
Good job Bobby. !!!!
Someone needs some engineering lessons about CG before putting all that crap above a pontoon boat. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...

Gator Gill LLC Tresa Short
actually its my boat. problem was that i had a fat girl on the port side
dbruce9035: Bad weight distribution is what you get. I thought that was a canopy at first.😉
Bad idea, a pontoon boat with a "flying bridge".
🤣 Look at how low those pontoon tubes are sitting in the water towards the stern. That boat, empty, was overloaded and top-heavy. Need to completely remove that top deck, and look for ways to reduce weight elsewhere.
wow someone managed to flip over a rubber duck.

How did it flip? What size and make. I take mine offshore 2-3 sea
Hey everybody, come over here and look at this manatee. SPLASH ! ! !
Nice add a second deck and make it unstable in heavey wave areas
Was that Fat Cat Newton and his buddy Bobby?
do it, Bobby!
Someone racked up a huge bill there
yep, a little top heavy maybe?
Well Bubba, they flipped it back over! Lets get some more beer and go back out!
How the heck do you flip a pontoon boat in the first place? Some people really shouldn't own a boat.
high center off gravity
Actually it's not as hard to do as you think. They're not very good boats All things considered.
your yelling in a situation like that is unwelcomed im sure
Wasent this just in worlds fastest pontoon boat ? Looks just like the one

silly sea tow, they mistook that gas station hot dog machine for a boat
looks top heavy
Bobby Hill?? Damit Bobby!
Top heavy tritoon.
Probably had everyone on top drinkin and dancin like fools.
YEA!!....YEA!!......YEA!!......my lord....lol
So it's actually flipping a pontoon boat over.
cameraman should not scream
Top heavy to much speed and a sharp turn, ?
the seatow bill was more than the value of the boat
Look at all the shit on top that boat. Damn!!! Pontoons are generally pretty hard to flip over...
The guy saying YEAH!!! Did he have money on this?
Thats what you get for not abiding by the laws of physics and making it so top heavy
Yeah, Yeah.

Caveat...Always, have all who Volenteer sign a waiver, so that No Liability exists if things go bad! Trust Me there!!!
Silly engineers....they were supposed to put the hot tub on the LOWER LEVEL, next to the beer cooler. JwgK
2 STORY MADE OF 1/2 BOILER PLATE🤣🤣😂🤣😂😂😂🤣😂😂🤣😂😂
I Hope No Body Was Hurt
That thing is more top heavy than half the ships of the IJN!
Centre of brain activity way too low
I would hate to had to pay that bill
Come on Bobby
yeh kleetus92, the boat sunk (duh)
Doesn't look like it sunk to me, just flipped over ,then turned back upright. If it sunk it would be sitting on the bottom.
do you think we could put the car on top too honey ?
boat for sale...

Ugly boat deserves to be on the bottom.
Pontoon should be outlawed.. just because of this one incident.
looks top heavy
