My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa and hoping to make the city of light my home base - at least for the foreseeable future. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlogged daily for 3+ years, and love pizza a little too much.

Where are you from originally? - Pullman, Washington - a small university/agricultural town near Idaho (and yes, the potatoes are amazing).

What do you edit with? - Adobe Premiere - it's pretty much all I've ever used since high school.
Aren't you ever freaked out by leaving your camera behind to film yourself? - Yep. But not too badly - I tend to be careful when I do.

I just flew from Paris to New York and it was great because the airport and plane were not crowded.
As your patron, I never expected anything other than supporting you and because I enjoyed watching your vlogs so much that I think Patron is like me buying you a cup of coffee every month which I wish to do so in person actually. I've had to cut way back on my Patreon support of artists since the pandemic. I have not sold even one piece of pottery or silver since the virus reared. Internet sales have tanked and face to face and retail are non existent. I like, click , and comment a lot . I thoroughly enjoy your content though Jay.

Don't know what an editor would cost for a month. Would be interesting if you shot and directed a daily vlog and have them edited. Would think it would free up much needed time and maybe help with burnout. It's a two way street, I get great content and we monetarily support your talent. Hopefully when this evil pandemic has moved on and people are visiting Paris and France, your Patreon membership will skyrocket. Be well and safe in your travels

A bit off topic and you might already know but US just lifted the pause on the J&J vaccine so hopefully you will be able to get the shot during your upcoming trip to visit your family. I suggest you start looking on line to see which places carry J&J in your home state or ask friends and family. Good luck!
