It's always cool to follow your process, you explain stuff so well. I don't care about daw-less performance personally but it's great to watch and learn.
Thanks for another awesome and inspiring walkthrough Ihor! Learning heaps from watching these videos of yours. The part at 33:50 is WILD. It sounds like there's this choir of chanting people in a huge warehouse that's being stutter-ducked (the gated 'verb). Almost enough to make me buy some advanced reverb unit and incorporate it into my live set ;) Looking forward to more videos from you! 🟦🟨
Yo, I don't even like acid that much, but in certain songs I love it. Your creation slaps bro. It's thick like a milkshake. Really glad to see your face and hear your music again!
Been here from Day one and this is by far my favorite music channel your explanation of the break downs is very good you deserve way more subs... Well done
Not that I should be really surprised with such a set up, but I was gonna watch maybe 3/4 minutes of this video and get the gist of it but suddenly I watched the entire thing. Great stuff.
great stuff as usual. 'we gona do some acid today' I like how you spoke with such a steady tone but then you jumped a minor third up and put a gentle accent when you said acid hehehe
10k amazing 👏 I've said it before but this is my favourite RUclips channel. I'm thinking about getting a syntakt too, I already have DT&DN just considering if there would be to much cross over of features etc. 🤔
There are some overlap in the functions indeed. However I think the Syntakt rather complements the Digi Trio. It is a great synth with a ton of instruments!
@@IhorMedia I didn't end buying a syntakt in the end, I decided to get an Arturia minibrute 2s and drumbrute impact. They fit in well (for me) with the DT&DN and minilogue xd. Next up building a small modular set up in a rackbrute case.
Ha, Ihor is back again, miss you some time ! Congratulations with your 10.000 subscribers, well earnt 🏆after making nice and inspiring videos combing Elektron gear with small modular setup for live situations ! Hello Ihor. Good to see you friend. You always have something I'm am trying or approaching in different ways. It is very much appreciated you making the content. Let's do it.
You motivated me to buy Analog rytm mk2 and then Syntakt in one week) Could you make a jam session video with syntakt + analog rytm mk2? There are really no tutorials or demos of the best practise how to combine them on RUclips. Thanks!
I get so excited when you post a video! Every time I watch your videos, I need to go jump on my synths. I can’t help myself :D Congrats on the 10k subscribers, you’ve definitely earned it ♥︎
like any youtube user, to many people who present practically my contents but what counts and for what and for whom. Let me tell you that I'm going straight to your style of music, in addition to the topics about everything you present, we also have the style of music and a two in one, so being practically the end of the year, I leave you the tip if you can post a video with the best rack with the best modules for techno, merry christmas and a great new year, i'll always be waiting for your new video, thank you.
I really enjoyed that! It would have been quite useful to watch when I first got my Syntakt but interestingly I've ended up with an extremely similar FX block setup. I really wish the external inputs could be used independently, as in separate sends and volume control for each channel when used as two mono inputs, I feed it with two independent mono synths.
This is great, really good. I love the idea of a eurorack, but that stuff is expensive! I guess my question is, do you think you could create a similar pattern you've created with the modules on the Syntakt? Is it capable of creating rhythms like the modules can?
Great to see you back! How’s the weather in Amsterdam? Am over there this weekend to see Bodzin at Loveland Festival. My wife and I will probably be the oldest people there! 😂
Nice video as always. Thanks to you, I started playing out with eurorack last year, and now I've just put out the first performance videos on RUclips. You are an amazing inspiration 🎶🙏
The Noise engineering modules are insane. Like I only know the VST versions of them but they are by far the most versatile synths/effectracks/whateversoundthingy tools Ive used so far. I wonder whether their hardware modules are as notoriously good as well.
Really great jam and some takeaways for Syntakt tricks. Nice work. The retrig buttons on the Syntakt are such a missed opportunity (pun intended!). If they were quantised they would be great but they just need laser precision to get them on the beat they;re just not that useful for me. And you can't disarm them so sometimes I randomly hit them in the heat of the moment. Still love the Syntakt though
Agreed 100% on the retrig buttons. I really hope it comes in one of the upcoming OS upgrades! In this video I used it 3 or 4 times - never landed properly. And there was no latency! I was monitoring directly. Anyways I love the Syntakt too! Thanks for watching, Dan!
Have missed your presence of tutorials but pleased for this vid, so much to take in my little Grey Cells are churning, curdling around my skull Thanks Ihor my friend for all your endeavours Few Questions, need just a tutorial from u on SYNTAKT , does this make Digitakt redundant, would wonder if routing Modular into Digitakt then out to inputs on SYNTAKT to process both units then into Zoia and main mixer, more complexity for you😃😃😎wishing u well Excellenti Ihor, more soon I hope🖐🆒🎶🎶👁🕸⚡️🔱🌟🌟🌟
Hey Martin! Nice to see you too! I will definitely do some more videos about the Syntakt. Does it make Digitakt redundant? It kinda does for me as of now. I use the Syntakt more and more lately.
Technically there is no filter on the audio in in Syntakt. There is an Analog FX track that has filter and you can route external audio through this track. DT and DN don't have such a track.
Hello and thanks for the very interesting video. Newbie question: couldnt' just the whole "sequencing part" involving the steppy, mimetic and scales modules be completely bypassed by using one of the syntakt midi tracks? Thanks.
Well, the answer is "yes", but also in that situation sequencing will be very different. With Steppy, Mimetic and Scales I utilise some repetitive randomness to achieve melodies. This randomness can be changed on the fly and another melody generated with ease. Sequencing with Syntakt's MIDI track is different, but not worse or better. It's different! I like it too actually. One of the big advantages of sequencing with MIDI track, for example, is that I can play it live, or record it by playing live. There other advantages too.
Hey Chris! There is no stand for the overhead. I use Manfrotto Variable Friction Arm that is attached to a plank that I mounted on the ceiling. Basically I can mount it almost anywhere in the studio. PS: I published a post on my Patreon about how I film in detail with pictures!
