When did I realise that nerf was a forever hobby? When I woke up on a Sunday morning to watch a video from a guy in the other side of the globe, talking about a blaster, probably out of my budget, used in a game type I wlll probably never participate.
Your reviews videos are always top notch but I do really miss your full length gameplay videos. It's what brought me to your channel in the first place. Hearing you walk us through your thought process and why you decide to make the move you do, it was great! Any particular reason why you stopped doing them?
Definitely need to find a newer catch system for these high fps blasters. The current catches seem prone to failure after a certain point, no matter the material you use. Shame to see any problems at all on a $400 blaster. For that price, you'd expect zero problems. You could buy a starter AR-15 for that price.
Load bearing parts should be using tool steel but the challenge becomes how you keep the plunger lightweight. Maybe a steel ring on the catching surface. The problem is that these blasters are already expensive enough as it is and the companies making them seem more fixated on cosmetics.
@@maweitao Ya I agree. Im disapointed with what we were provided by the Manufactuer and we're ordering in a set of springs to fix our side of the issue. It sucks but we stand by the truth, and will fix it imediately.
@@jaredsanford You guys always stand by your products. Not only that, but you guys know what the community really wants- Sturdy, reliable, strong-hitting blasters.
Love the videos Brad! Just an idea, you should try and incorporate your velocity testing with your accuracy testing so we can compare velocity and accuracy spreads.
Great video! I agree with Bradley that this seems to be the perfect nerf blaster for me. I mean I think I would like a Slynx that is injection molded so it would be a bit lighter and cost less but that is more for my wallets sake than anything else! Again, thank you, Bradley, for showing us another amazing foam blaster!!!
Cold/dry darts = more accurate. Hot/humid darts = less accurate. We’ve noticed in our club that within 60 mins of hot humid sun exposure, our harriers get jammed more and loose accuracy. A cool video idea would be darts in sun for 2 hrs vs darts in an iced cooler for 2 hrs. Free way to increase accuracy!
Thanks for the review, $400 Bald Eagles is a little too much for me. I'm a big fan of bullpup blasters, I have stock and a modded X-Shot Longshot along with a Lynx from Silverfox Industries. Keep up the great work.
Recently I’ve been getting into foam flinging, but I’ve got some inefficient blasters and no half length darts, do you have a recommendation for a springer primary and secondary blaster? I don’t want to mess with electronics yet. Thanks.
I posted my shot longshot couple days ago o 0BS, and yeah terribly indeed XD I used 4tubes of epoxy putty to reniforce everything and filled the top rail with epoxy. It wont flex at all now, its kinda worth it if you life the overall style but man does it takes lots of materials loll
Now that this exists, is there anything else you would want from your blaster? Motorized prime? Chainfed? Laser guided darts? The thing I still miss on here is a magrelease near the grip like the original lynx has. Maybe a quick springchange option or otherwise variable fps system. Funny how the red and silver sorta make it look like an xshot longshot at first glance :D
The xshot longshot is less than 1/10th the price of this blaster. It's much better than 1/10th as good. With around $150 of mods it can hit 250+. The xsls is an awesome blaster.
I love the way this thing looks but the cloning of the internals and ditching the Lynx's quick disassembly feature is just frustrating. The guys making blasters like these seem to never leverage the medium for anything other than producing a shiny metal shell. Given my experience with other blasters in this class it seems inevitable that I'll be chasing small, but annoying issues. In the end, I'm just surprised that there still isn't a high quality, injection molded plastic bullpup springer on the market.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT Each of us would most likely use a different BCAR, and they do influence FPS differently. But yeah, zero sense to play without one.
I’d really like to see the internals on this. The catch, plunger, spring and pusher. I’m really curious if the catch is essentially the same as the Lynx. If it is use some lube! Could be binding up. If it uses a longer spring then binding there is likely. K25 type spring’s just kinda suck.
It's not really that easy to show the internals since it's not a clamshell design, but it comes disassembled so you can easily see parts like the plunger head etc. when you first get it.
The catch looks like the same design. Seems the early plungers were alu but are now steel. Mine is steel, no idea what the weight difference is. The plunger doesn't have the screw on the end to adjust the O-ring fit. The pusher has a kind of birdcage on the end to seat the dart while letting air through. Mine had a terrible seal on the pusher O-ring that needed some work.
Can you give a look at the tg(tiangong) arp9? I look up the net and it seems better the the hlf yet, under 200. I just want to see if tg arp9 worth the money.
I’d have to strongly disagree with that, I have not seen any nerf blaster made to be a replica of a real weapon which is a huge part of the gel blaster scene. The feel of gel blaster pistols and rifles cannot be compared, they look, feel and fire differently compared to nerf. I get they are both “toys” but when you play with a replica weapon it feels like a weapon, when you play with a nerf blaster you know it’s a toy.
@@dcheb Their performance is all generally the same he means. Gel blasters have hit a point of stagnancy in performance since there isn't much more we can do with them until new gels come out with higher tolerances for FPS. You're either spending nearly $1200 for a GBBR with exceedingly high performance but reliability issues, or between $200 to $1000 for a re-shelled AEG in a different receiver.
I dont get point of metal blasters. Triple weight, quadruple cost, no performance boost They more durable? Lol i never seen someone broke his harrier on nexus in half, The increased strength of the metal blasters is a trick to make you pay several times more money for a heavy brick
I think its a nice springer. For the price, cheaper than Apex prime while being full metal. But I will stick with injection mould springer. They are much cheaper while still can last longer than 3D springer.
