  • Esoteric Agriculture Episode 50 Oriental Gamefowl
Thanks to everyone who has watched, liked, commented, and subscribed over the past 2 years. Episode 50 is a special milestone for me. I have planned from the genesis of the channel to make episode 50 focused on Oriental Gamefowl. I have also been planning from the start to change all the esthetics when I reached Episode 50. If I make it to Episode 100, I will change the esthetics again.
I’ve been working on this episode off and on for over 2 years now. I’ve also been working on some sort of channel merch for some time now. I have set up an artist page on Redbubble and if you like this video or this channel you will like the options I’ve created over there. ESOTERICAG @Redbubble.
All the photos and videos of live fowl were taken by me of fowl I owned at the time. Many of the Cubalaya were bred by me. I’ve been breeding Cubalaya for over 10 years now and I’ve kept many other breeds of Gamefowl, Longtail fowl, and ornamental Bantams in the past 10 years. All other images are free use and are credited during or at the end of the video. All music is free use and is credited below.
    Thanks for watching!!

Magnificent birds really! The cubalaya (among others) are wonderful birds. Do they only thrive under warm climates?

Those are some fearsome chickens. A number of them look like a mad scientist crossbred golden eagles, buzzards, and pheasants into his flock somehow. They're beautiful and look prickly as hell. Is it hard to keep them from fighting? Or just impossible?
Also, I love your bonkers aesthetic as always. Thanks for your hard work.

Some of them it’s just impossible to keep them from fighting. Even the hens and baby chicks will fight to the death. It’s very complicated to keep them due to this. Most of them only the adult males will fight badly. The Asil, Thai, and Ga Noi were the most consistently aggressive, even the hens would fight and I even had hens kill younger but still fairly mature males. The Shamo and Ko Shamo were basically about like regular chickens. The Cubalaya are usually the least aggressive, generally if you raise males together they can get along without too much trouble. Generally they are all super calm and tame around people, you can usually just walk up and pick them up and they generally seem ok with that.
