This gave me an idea to set certain levels and stats per event which could be cool for like set level cut scene battles and all. Thank you! I did know about the settings max level which I made 500 but I figured 100 levels per region haha. Seriously thank you, you're amazing!

You could use the same switch to set the level but make it either pokemon specific or range from slots 0-5 aka the pokemon slots in your party. Just call the trainer.party then pass which slot you'd like to set.
Hey, Cameron! I'm really loving all the videos you make. It's helping me make my pokémon game very neat. Quick question: I realized that when I'm in a wild battle and I use a pokeball (or any object really), on the next turn, the battle menu doesn't remember that I selected "BAG" and it highlights "FIGHT" by default every single time. However, when it comes to attacks in the fight menu, it does seem to remember what my last chosen attack was. Is there any way to make the game remember my last choice in the battle menu?
In Pokemon Sword and Shield there's a feature that allows you to evolve a level 100 pokemon by using a rare candy so it's not stuck in its devolved form, would there be any way to emulate that in Pokemon Essentials?

That's a great idea. Love it. But.... What if you wanted normal pm to sit in the l100 range and ledgendarie pm to be higher. Would it not crash your game as seen with your bulbasaur.
Excellent job as always on the tutorial. I've been working off and on with a personal project of mine for years now and this is useful info for sure. But I did have a question not with how this works but the practicality of it. I'm not great with math so I just wanted to know if increasing the level cap had any tangible differences to game balancing? (i.e. would a fight between two level 200 pokemon be substantially different than a level 100 fight?) I'd imagine the Pokemon in the extremes would deal/tank more damage but idk if the combat damage formulae take that into account already.
Could you make a video explaining how to put in the options menu (the one where pokemon, pokedex, bag, etc.) comes out, an option to win between the normal combat experience and that of new generations? .Plis
I don't think you can. but you could set a script by or in front of the pc to recalculate stats when leaving the pc or entering it. So if you withdraw someone it would calc the stats and fix it.
does anyone know how to get a smooth framerate? In his videos its always super smooth but I thought RPG maker xp capped at 40 fps. It would really help if I could boost that somehow.

The only tips I can offer are don't expand your screen size and keep maps smaller, big maps tend to lag
