Hi Filip, love your lessons. So inspiring. I am however having trouble following the over blows with my Lee Oskar harmonicas. I've heard they are not the best for over blows due to their reed shape. Can you recommend the best brands for this, without any heavy customisation? I have a whole case of Lee Oskars so I need to choose wisely if I'm to move to another make of harp. Thanks for any advice you may have.

      Thanks! 🎶🎶🎶
I don't know the best brand, every brand gets good after some customizing. Every model with at least need some reed gapping. And sometimes that is enough actually. Did you try gapping your Lee Oskars? I tried a few new LO last month in Seoul, they worked for overblow.

I think LO has shorter reed than Hohner, Suzuki models (manji/olive), and Seydel. That can affect overblow and bending.

Thanks Filip! I’ve tried gapping but I’m not sure if I’m doing it correctly. Do you have a detailed tutorial on it or can you recommend a good turorial online?

Hi Filip. I believe yesterday you posted a carrying case for two chromatic harmonicas. Can you tell me where I might be able to buy one like it?

It is called Laelaps Harmonica Case. A company based in Taiwan.

Wowits like you're bilingual lol! Thats gotta be hard thinking in diatonic in one hand and chromatic in the other. Honestly, I switched to chromatic and gave up on the diatonic cause its sounds too "trumpet"-y with overblows. But then I tongue block anyway. Amazing video thank you for sharing!

Yes it is a bit hard in the beginning - but as with everything - it gets easier.
I understand what you say about the sound - yes diatonic is more timbre specific. I think of it is a trumpet/violin where every note has its own flavor. Chromatic is more like sax or piano.

@@FilipJersMusic I totally agree. Do you find it easier to hone in on bent notes with equal tempered or JIT?
