I've been playing harmonica for 60 years and never had a problem with over production of saliva until I bought a chromatic with a plastic case (Kongsheng KB-12). After a couple of weeks of playing, the problem subsided.
TIP: By the time you're mastering your embouchure and breathing technique, your body will synchronise with your harmonica playing on many levels. It took me about 18 months, so keep going and hold the faith. QUESTION: Filip, when you play close/fast note sequences I can see your chin and even your upper lip move a little sideways. Is that because you play tongue blocking, or ...? I only play pucker at the moment and I was though to only move the harmonica to prevent air leakage at the sides of the mouth. Thanks.

@@landztranz Thanks for your kind words! 🎵😀🙏🎵
Thanks for the solid tips. Very useful! By the way: what model diatonic were you playing?
Thanks! 🎵😀🎵 It is a Suzuki Olive w wood comb.
Good advice
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Filip, my tip is to drink black tea or ceylon tea without sugar or milk to get a dry mouth.
Yeah sounds great!
wow, really important topic for me cause my jaw is still growing and i have thyroid issues. Thank you!
Thanks!!
Non harmonica question here: what video recording unit are you using?
Wow, great tip to brush teeth without paste. Thank you.
Yes, try and see if you feel a difference!

Oh interesting, thanks for sharing. Good that hear that it subsided.
Hey Filip, I've been wanting to ask you if embossing the reeds helps much or at all with overblows?
You mean embossing the slots? It will help because the harmonica will be more airtight and more air goes to the reeds.
@@FilipJersMusic Thanks, that makes sense. Yes duh embossing the slots. 😆
Do you clean valves on chromatic?
No never. I replace them.
❤❤❤❤
Thanks! 🎵😀🎵
for me is not a problem : because i clean well my mouth very frequently, and I don't play if I don't have cleaned well the mouth 😅
Sounds good!
For me it's the taste of brass, my mouth reacts with saliva. But not so much that it really bothers
Ahh when you say it,, for me brass combs produce a bit more saliva.
please don't think about lemon juice and Polish pickle ;)
@@bleczycki 😅😅😅 would Bigos work? I had some great Bigos at Chopin airport this summer.

Good observations! I pucker here 🎵🎵🎵
Nice, you are blocking single holes with lower lip too, so you tilt back part of harmonica up a bit. Same like me.
most toothpastes have a lot of fluorite it is real harm for your hormone level as well
