so I tried the 5 watt version in the store today, and I was really impressed, thinking I was going to buy it. Then I saw the 18w and I thought it looked even better for not much more, so I figured I would get that instead. Now I've seen a bunch of demos of the 36w and I know that's what I want. DI out, 2 separate EQs, FX loop, power soak, I couldn't ask for anything more from an amp that has sparkling cleans and mean ass gain. I can't wait until I get paid and sell some gear so I can get one of these
+Benderbot50 Cool that you've found the one you want and with all the features you need. That's really why we did the Meister range like that. If you'd needed a bunch of cool FX onboard too, the GrandMeister would be the next logival step! Have fun when you get one!
A great sounding Amp, I even stumbled across a great young guitarist (15) who has switched to using it. Check out James Bell here on RUclips and hear how great this Amp sounds. James Bell - Rock Guitar Jam in Em
The "Red Box" is an DI Box and speaker simulator designed by Hughes & Kettner. Here this DI Box is built into the Tubemeister 36 amp but you can buy it as standalone version also.
I have a Grandmeister 36 head that I love from you guys. I'd love for you to come out with a combo amp like the Black Spirit that was tube instead of solid state so I could have something easier to carry around with me.
Glad to hear you're loving your GM36, and thanks for the feedback - we've passed it on to the R&D guys! Just out of interest, is there a specific reason why you don't want the Black Spirit combo? Are tubes an essential part of an amp for you, or have you had bad experiences with solid state before, etc.? Just asking because it's good for us to know these things - helps us build better amps in future, which means everyone wins!
@@HughesandKettneramps Tube emulation has come a long way, but it's still not as warm of a sound. Also I feel the price is too high on the Black Spirit for a non tube amp. I know there's prob a reason for the price point that you guys have a reason for, but I personally wouldn't pay $1400 for a non tube amp. If I played it in person I might be impressed though, so who knows.
I'm loving this amp, i have a switchblade 50 at the moment which is awesome, but proving to be too loud for most pub gigs, but what i need to know guys, whats the tubemeister 36 like hooked up to a floor processor for live use to provide effects and of course midi switching? Next video maybe...please!
+Thunder Death 2 Oof, depends what sounds you're after. Super Reverb's all about vintage Strat tones, right? The TubeMeister can do that, but it can do more modern sounds too, and has way more gain than the Super Reverb. It's cheaper, too ;) But we'd always recommend you go to a store with your guitar and try them both. Go home with the winner, and you'll be one happy guitarist whichever you choose :)
Velhos Novos I wouldn't recommend running an amp head into an active speaker, guitar amps are designed to use with passive speakers, hence the amp has its own power section. Running an amp head into a active speaker may damage the speaker.
how clean can the crunch channel get? i'd like to use my marshall guv'nor with an as clean as possible channel for humbucking guitars while keeping the clean channel for a strat friendly sound
I have used a lot of digital preamp (POD, ZOOM, BOSS, ETC...) all run directly into PA using my RED BOX CLASSIC DI, in live situations and rehearsals. I would like to buy a new amp and no using my digital preamps. In small club I use my active speaker - JBL 612 X - Can I use the TubeMeister 36 directly into this active speaker?
Hughes & Kettner no worries! One quick question... Is it not a bit awkward having an endorsee called Chris Laney? It reminds of Citroen who's sales director in is called "Charles Peugeot" ha!
I´ve been playin a H&K hybrid head since the early 90´s! ..H&K is da shit!! ..but the very f´kin best shit, is the built-in RedBox! BTW; Rob aint that shitty either... ...love ya, bro! :)
Rob you're awesome bro the lookout here comes a super bad progressive Blues player using a Fender x2 on a cell phone check homeboy out doing Jimi Hendrix v/child serendipitously Wayne Reed Valley coups) check hm out on RUclips
Great playing, Fantastic phrasing, sooooo musical....yeah right!!!!!!!!!
Rob makes everything sound fcking great.
Rob is an outstanding player and brings out the best in the amp.

did you ever get paid ?
The Lonely Rocker digs this cool stuff!
Great playing and tone! Can you tell me what the eq is set to on the lead channel?
sick...great to see Rob doing the demo too he shows what it can do in the hands of a great shredder!
Best demo on youtube, Rob is awesome
Great riff in the middle section of the video.I think they planned to throw that in, its sounds so catchy.
The intro song is Laney's Legion On and On.
Man I need one of these!
A great sounding Amp, I even stumbled across a great young guitarist (15) who has switched to using it. Check out James Bell here on RUclips and hear how great this Amp sounds.

That dude makes guitar playing look easy..! It's awesome :)
Great demo video guys! Thanks :-)

that rob guy ist smokin' at the beginning !
awesome man!
does anyone know what guitar rob is using in this video?
It's a Suhr Classic, if we're not mistaken!
no is not a suhr, is a japanese brand. FGN, is a Odyssey Expert.
***** You might have proved us wrong there ;) Yep, we agree it's an FGN, after Googling it...

What's the name of the song at the end? Freaking awesome.
What's the name of the song at the end?
What is the name of the song at the opening?
im defiatly getting this amp now, no one does a demo with any fast stuff
thinking about this over a auper reverb? any suggestions

Ah my bad then, I assumed it would have been like running a powered PA into active speakers.
how clean can the crunch channel get? i'd like to use my marshall guv'nor with an as clean as possible channel for humbucking guitars while keeping the clean channel for a strat friendly sound
Great demo and amazing playing, what was the chorus you were using, sounded awesome? Cheers
Thanks! Hopefully Chris and/or Rob will see this and let us know what it was - probably some kind of plugin...
What guitar is that?:)
What's a "Red Box"?
The song at the end is somewhat reminiscent of savatage although a bit commercial 80s sounding ..good guitar playing yngwie rules
What is he playing on the clean tone??
+Tre Johnson We think Rob played an FGN guitar throughout the entire video, if that's what you mean...
what cab was used in the demo?
They used an H&K TM212 cab for the cab parts, if we recall correctly :)
There's a strange chemistry between them...
I wonder What Rob Marcellos real name is, Robert Svensson?
And what about Chris Laney? Kristoffer Lundström?
I have used a lot of digital preamp (POD, ZOOM, BOSS, ETC...) all run directly into PA using my RED BOX CLASSIC DI, in live situations and rehearsals. I would like to buy a new amp and no using my digital preamps. In small club I use my active speaker - JBL 612 X - Can I use the TubeMeister 36 directly into this active speaker?
Since there's a built-in Red Box, I'm certain you can.
howie mandel ?
1:26 Nice hair dude!:))
is this a german or a chinese product?
Designed in Germany, made in China. That's why its an awesome amp without the boutique price
Great answer arbitermatt , cheers! ;) Rondaxx, that's pretty much exactly what we would have said...
Hughes & Kettner no worries! One quick question... Is it not a bit awkward having an endorsee called Chris Laney? It reminds of Citroen who's sales director in is called "Charles Peugeot" ha!
Ha ha! No, it's fine - although we did turn down a guy called James Marshall for an endorsement the other week ;)
Hughes & Kettner if I change my name to Matt Hughes-Kettner will you endorse me?
Robs a class act, Great Guitarist, btw guys that sounded dangerously close to Def Lep, hope they don't get pissed lol
Ha ha, we hope so too :) We're taking the Simpsons' advice on this: "similar but legally distinct" all the way ;)
I´ve been playin a H&K hybrid head since the early 90´s! ..H&K is da shit!! ..but the very f´kin best shit, is the built-in RedBox!
BTW; Rob aint that shitty either... ...love ya, bro! :)
Cheers Pelle! Yeah, Rob's not too bad ;) And that's a cool story behind your amp...
its part of rob marcellos tone T.T
Rob , grymt git-spel (som vanligt).
Music @ the end sounds like wasp
Holy shit.. this unknown guy is so smug to Rob Marchello!! I still can not understand what is going on here!
He's Rob's longtime friend and producer Tarek, so don't worry, they were just having some fun :)
feels like advertisement , not a review
Come looking for an amp demo- "were using reverb, delay and compressing the hell out of it"................great, bye
wtf the blonde dude seems to be a time traveller..
+Slears he is rob marcello, he makes a living of playing guitar, also, it fits him
Rob you're awesome bro the lookout here comes a super bad progressive Blues player using a Fender x2 on a cell phone check homeboy out doing Jimi Hendrix v/child serendipitously Wayne Reed Valley coups) check hm out on RUclips
