Wow, mind blown fellas! I've got a Grandmeister enroute as I type. I'm VERY pumped! Can't wait! I'm no shredder but I hope to make some great tones! I wish I could watch more of your Logic Pro sessions. Just the terminology - pan these 20% left and right to make room in the middle for the next track - actually speaks enough to me to understand what you mean. Thank you very much!!!!
For those who were asking, this Lag is an Arkane 3000 made in the Lag custom shop in France. A killer guitar. Not sure of the color, Deep Purple or Purple Haze ..
Thank you gentleman!! Great overview!! I did a demo with the Red Box out on my TM18 and just did a little EQ and it worked OK.. but could have been better.. Just recently I began trying the Silent OUT with Guitar Rig 5 as a plug in ONLY for ambience and the Control Room Pro module to mix cabinet IR's and microphones, placement of mics, etc... Need some more experiment but this IR for download is a GREAT START!! =)
Mind = blown. 13 gazillion shredders plastered all over the internet, but Rob stands above them all with that sense of melody and musicality. So effortless. I hate him. :)
I don't know about good. With all due respect he plays with no feeling. That's the problem with these shredders. They don't train themselves to play with feeling. They just concentrate on how much faster they can be than others. Don't like hid playing at all.
Cam Banks I have to say what I said so people like you can learn and appreciate properly played music. Not a bunch of frikin noise. But I must say he has good technique.
I have relentlessly searched for an amp that could do everything from blues cleans to death metal crunch and the Tubemeister series is the only amp with little to no effects in front. I need one so bad but being poor prevents me from getting one in the next 2-3 years.
This may be an obvious question, but I've been wondering: If I send the Red Box out to my DAW, will my pedal board effects in front of the amp feed through? I would think so as they are part of the chain going into the amp. How do they sound? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, Scott
If others haven't answered you. He does a LOT of demos with BOSS multieffects. He plays in Danger Danger, and he's working on a new album with Chris Laney (Laney's Legion)
OOOOOOOOOOOO! Lucky! He's one of my favorite guitarists of all time I didn't know he was in Shotgun Messiah... Just when I think I couldn't know anymore about the poor guy haha
I've never heard of the GJ2. Looks lovely. The amp sounds great. The amp I'm quite interested in at the moment is the Switchblade. I know they're totally different amps but is there anything you can say about it?
They're cool guitars! Hmm, depends what you want us to say about the Switchblade really. What style are you playing, and what would you be using the amp for? Gigging, recording, etc...
Thanks for the Red Box and the cabinet simulator design instead of the mic simulator motif. Please don't deviate from this concept. The Red Box sounds cleaner without the IR and there are ways to create space without the phase, comb filtering a boomy sounds of an IR or mic sim. Great playing and tips here, but the RB rolls off high end. To boost high-end and roll off low-end only to add back boom and roll off highs again with IR..not what I want. : ) Please keep making the RB as is. : )
Kudos for offering the IR separately for those who want it, though. Would be great for a subtle kick. Love the cab sim designs...not the mic sims. The Red Box is the best at this, btw.
I absolutely love Robs playing. He deserves to be in a major rock band. His Danger Danger work was incredible! Also is the switchblade 100 still available? Or is that discontinued? Loved that amp!!!!
Absolutely agree about Rob! Top player, top guy all round :) Switchblade is discontinued (has been for a while), but they occasionally pop up used, so if you keep your eyes open you might see one for bargain prices sometime ;) Rock on! Team H&K
Then the Switchblade will do a job for you! It's great for melodic rock and heavier/cleaner styles too, with loads of different tonal varieties on tap (and works great at lower volumes too...). There are some cool videos around on RUclips, but the best way to get a feel for it would be to go and try one at a store.
jszy: signal chain is Red Box, Apogee Duet, Logic, Apogee Duet, Monitor. The latency is indeed very low, thanks to the Duet and the MacBook Pro Retina ;-)
+Hughes & Kettner I know its one of his songs but I've looked all over for it and sent him a question about it with no response until now..... I'd like to hear the whole tune. Great amps BTW I have the Grandmeister 36 cause of this and the guys in Warrant
We checked in the Apogee One manual, and it seems like you should be able to do it using an XLR to jack adapter (as if you were connecting a vocal mic - it's on page 4 here): www.apogeedigital.com/pdf/one_usersguide.pdf
you can have low latency with a cheap sound card like the m audio delta 1010,i used it in combination with cubase and the ADA MP-1 and line6 pod x3 live(yes i know he have a built in sound card xD)
He's used H&K a lot live, but on some tours it's simply a case of the backline not being there and he uses other solutions. And we're totally fine with that!
simply great : the guitar player, the guitar tones, the recording session !...
This dude. Amazing. Favorite track will always be "Old School."
i love this head!!! awesome sound, and awesome playing!!!
Wow, mind blown fellas!

its a nice amp,i have it for 6 months now, beautiful sound, the best clean chanel i ever heard, the Tubeman mkII is also awesome
Very talented player..
And the tones from the amp are excellent.
Damn, a free guitar mixing lesson right here.
I see Rob as a really guitar máster, and he gets better every day!! if thats possible.
For those who were asking, this Lag is an Arkane 3000 made in the Lag custom shop in France. A killer guitar.
Not sure of the color, Deep Purple or Purple Haze ..

+calansvc Us too, guess it's a love/hate thing with guys who are this good! ;)
I don't know about good. With all due respect he plays with no feeling. That's the problem with these shredders. They don't train themselves to play with feeling. They just concentrate on how much faster they can be than others. Don't like hid playing at all.
You must be pretty wild on the axe mate..Not hard to say something nice u should try it
Cam Banks I have to say what I said so people like you can learn and appreciate properly played music. Not a bunch of frikin noise. But I must say he has good technique.
Yeah no worries mate, Can u please send me a link to your music you say is proper!?
I have relentlessly searched for an amp that could do everything from blues cleans to death metal crunch and the Tubemeister series is the only amp with little to no effects in front. I need one so bad but being poor prevents me from getting one in the next 2-3 years.
what's the name of the last song with a vocals? please!!
What song is this?
This may be an obvious question, but I've been wondering: If I send the Red Box out to my DAW, will my pedal board effects in front of the amp feed through? I would think so as they are part of the chain going into the amp.

Great guitar player. I've heard his name before, where would I actually know his stuff from?
If others haven't answered you. He does a LOT of demos with BOSS multieffects. He plays in Danger Danger, and he's working on a new album with Chris Laney (Laney's Legion)
He also plays in Shotgun Messiah! iwe played his Yellow guitar its awesome and i play lefty lol :=)
OOOOOOOOOOOO! Lucky! He's one of my favorite guitarists of all time
I didn't know he was in Shotgun Messiah... Just when I think I couldn't know anymore about the poor guy haha
The amp would be used for both gigging and recording
I've never heard of the GJ2. Looks lovely. The amp sounds great. The amp I'm quite interested in at the moment is the Switchblade. I know they're totally different amps but is there anything you can say about it?
They're cool guitars! Hmm, depends what you want us to say about the Switchblade really. What style are you playing, and what would you be using the amp for? Gigging, recording, etc...
how is the signal chain like?
amp redbox out -> computer -> monitor?
why is the latency so low? with all these effects...
does the cabinet need to be run at the moment of recording?
Both guitars are fantastic. What model cb rich and Lag are they please?
He's using a GJ2 Arete at the start, and the BC Rich is a Gunslinger. More news coming on the Lag: we've asked Rob...
OK, so the Lag model Rob doesn't know, unfortunately - he was given the guitar just to use on the day!
output peak at 4.7, love it haha! sounds great.

What songs is he playing to ???
What are the songs?
They're Rob Marcello jams and originals...
what software are they using here and how is this all set up?
ro Marcello is a god Guitar . What Kind of guitar is at the final video
It's some kind of Lag we think but we're not sure of the exact model!
What is the software being used to tweak the sound?
+Enemy Of Baal They were going into Logic and using Space Designer... :)
Kudos for offering the IR separately for those who want it, though. Would be great for a subtle kick. Love the cab sim designs...not the mic sims. The Red Box is the best at this, btw.

Melodic rock is my style. Kinda in the vein of Rob to a certain extent. All I've heard is on videos on here

Newer B.C. Rich U.S.A. Gunslinger. The yellow guitar in the beginning is a G2, which is the new Grover/Jackson/Fender company
05:59 Farmer Sez -Andy Timmons
touching oldshool very2 amazing..
jszy: signal chain is Red Box, Apogee Duet, Logic, Apogee Duet, Monitor. The latency is indeed very low, thanks to the Duet and the MacBook Pro Retina ;-)
Damn, that Lag Arkane is a beauty!
WHAT IS THE SONG HE IS RECORDING ON THIS?
And his settings?
+Johnny G-String This'd be one of Rob's own tunes, and you can briefly see his amp setting at 4:46...
+Hughes & Kettner I know its one of his songs but I've looked all over for it and sent him a question about it with no response until now..... I'd like to hear the whole tune. Great amps BTW I have the Grandmeister 36 cause of this and the guys in Warrant
Anyone know how to hook my GrandMeister 36 to an Apogee one interface?
We checked in the Apogee One manual, and it seems like you should be able to do it using an XLR to jack adapter (as if you were connecting a vocal mic - it's on page 4 here): www.apogeedigital.com/pdf/one_usersguide.pdf

ROB is a freaking monster .
Dude, the signal has been distorted
Very bad, u don’t watch the meter?
Robert Marcello Rules!!!!
Wondering why he don't play with his brother.
wow, that guy shreds hard and was quite funny.
o.O You did NOT just cut off "Old School"!!!! >:(
anyone notice the Wintersun T-shirt :P
The only problem is that he never uses h&k amps when he plays live..... With danger danger or any other band.
He's used H&K a lot live, but on some tours it's simply a case of the backline not being there and he uses other solutions. And we're totally fine with that!
she lagend..graet player bro..
Its funslly been dine sn amp less interesting and crappier than a marshall!
