Just got mine today needless to say the porter cable is nice but this machine does the job way faster almost as fast as the rupes and with the price point its now my favorite go to machine i love the kit that i purchased it comes with everything needed. As always Chemical Guys delivers the highest quality at a great price.
I ordered one not long ago, and I haven't been able to put it thru a major test. But I will say its held up to what I've thrown at it. I love how it fits my hands, easy to grip and handle. When you get used to holding a PC then go to the Torq, you'll throw the PC away. I love this polisher simply put. 👍
i finally received my torq today, its almost as good as my rupes 21es. The difference i noticed is that it vibrants a little more, and its not as smooth as my rupes. the one positive is that it feels lighter, its good on curves then the rupes and its a little more powerful . its definitely worth the money. it compliments the rupes 21es well. i used it today on my 2007 bmw 530 with a mf pad, first with v34 then with menzerna 400 which i obseved was much better than v34.
makes me feel better about my purchase now reading your comment. I bought this as my first real RO. Planning to buy a rupes 21es after I get better to do larger jobs faster :)
I had a flex 3401 and looking at a rupes mark 2 next. This looks like a step up from my Porter Cable. Wish other guys would do reviews on this machine not the company only.....Would love to see Mike Phillips or Todd Helm do a honest review on this one!
I recently purchased this machine. Haven't used it yet, but I am excited to give it a try. Just waiting for some other Chemical Guys products I ordered to arrive.
Man, if only I had the money to spend on this. I've been contemplating buying a comparable machine but this might be what I end up with! Looks high quality and easy to use.
It will deliver better then you hoped, and you will be happy forever! Enjoy! *Prices subject to change, not available everywhere, terms and restrictions may apply. Free may also not be free,....
I am going to end up eating my shoe if I continue this.. I can't predict inflation or things like that so lets just go with.. You made a great choice. Let us know how much fun your having when you get it! - Korey @ CG
Bought one today and doesn't even turn on right outta the box. :/ i was really excited about it too. If you decide to try it out, definitely ask to try it out real quick in store to make sure it at least works. I guess that goes for any polisher
@@devthedetailer I did haha. I forgot about this, but i did take it back to their shop the next day and they swapped it out after trying to test it. Its been pretty grear for the price point
Hi guys, i work in a body shop, and we own several buffers, BUT we struggle alot with swirl marks, specially in dark or black colors, i was going to pull the trigger on a rupes but we will only be using it to correct the swirl marks after we polish with a normal buffer, so i though for half the price this will be a good choice, we do the heavy cutting with the high speed buffer, so this one will be the final step,we have a makita high speed buffer and a dewalt. o and also my friend gave me a flyer with some system chart, which will work better to remove the swirl marks speciallly in blacks? V32,V34,V36 OR V38? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOU HELP.
Hey Rob! When using a dual action polisher, set your machine to speed setting 5 or 6 for paint correction or use the lowest speed setting for applying glaze, sealant, and wax. - CG Nick
I have some horrible marring on my vehicle that I induced recently because I used a medium grade Nanoskin. My PC7424xp does not have the muscle to remove it, but if this machine can, I will without a doubt purchase it. Good thing I'm local to Gardena. Anyway to make a visit to determine if it can and if so, make a purchase right then and there?
Hey Anthony! Yes, the TORQ 10FX can be used with a 3 inch backing plate. www.chemicalguys.com/torq-r5-dual-action-backing-plate-with-hyper-flex-technology/r5-hyperflex-backing+-plate.html
What speed did you use in the video? I have watched a bunch of the chemical guys videos and they usually recommend a speed setting of 6 on the normal torq 10, what setting would be equal to a 6?
As a typical home owner having a two car family what is the better machine flex 3401 or the torque 10fx???? Looking for something will last and cut my time???
Hey John, this is an interesting question. The TORQ10FX is substantially less expensive, and is a safe bet for someone who is new to polishing. The Flex 3401 is a hybrid machine that mimics the features of a dual action polisher and a rotary, where as the TORQ10FX is a great machine for someone who has never polished before, and is afraid of burning paint with a rotary. The Flex will definitely have more power which reduces cutting time, yet it is a more expensive machine. If you're looking for a more powerful machine, the Flex has it, if you're looking for a reliable easy to use tool great for learning on, get the TORQ10FX. C.G. Alex -
Thank you for the response going with the flex3401 only because don't want to be the guy who ends up buying up grades polisher and realized I should of went with the better of the two, thanks again.
Hi Richard, how's it going? In this video, Corey uses V36, a polish with the TORQ 10FX. Before putting the polisher to the car, he sprays it with some Polishing Pad Conditioner for lubrication. If you want to apply wax with a DA polisher, Butter Wet Wax is great choice. Check out the video below for a how to tutorial on how to apply Butter Wax Wax using the TORQ 22D and a finishing pad! Thanks for watching and make sure to stay tuned for more videos coming your way soon! ruclips.net/video/9-narLWJNMk/видео.html www.chemicalguys.com/Butter_Wet_Wax_16_oz_p/wac_201_16.htm
mines only goes up to 4, is it suppose to be like that? because everytime in your videos you guys say speed setting six. or do you guys mean u press the button 6 times?
Stratton Foster The Digital Display on the TORQ uses shorthand to display the actual OPM speed at which the buffer head is spinning. After 00, the six speed settings of the machine spin at: 1) 15 - 1,500 OPM 2) 20 - 2,000 OPM 3) 25 - 2,500 OPM 4) 30 - 3,000 OPM 5) 35 - 3,500 OPM 6) 40 - 4,000 OPM
Vehsax mmg I've had me Rupes 21 for 2 years now and I'm still in love. It's great for cutting fast and finishing perfectly on flat panels. I detail for a living so I've put it through its fair share of abuse. I can say (not with pride) that it's fallen from 3 feet to concrete and survived. My only gripe is that the blue and green cutting pads only last 3-5 cars before eating themselves. Also that it is not forced rotation and nearly stops spinning (still oscillates) any time you hit any sort of curve. I just got a Flex PE14-2 rotary and it's my first rotary and I love it for AIO and also for hitting pillars and tight areas with the 3" pads. My next purchase for sure will be a Flex 3401 as I need something that won't swirl paint but still turns on curved panels. Looking at the TORQ I think it would be annoying to have to run the machine all the way up to a higher speed every time you turn it off, and the guy saying that on every other polisher if you go up one speed it won't change that is total BS. And who needs a digital display?
Thanks for watching the video, the numbers indicated on the operating screen are listed in OPM's not in RPM's. This unit will stop moving if too much pressure is applied, Rotary units will maintain a consistent speed, therefore those machines speed settings will be listed as RPM.
Not sure how that's an issue? China is basically the leader these days in manufacturing. Sure they make low quality "budget" tools but the mid-high end stuff is just fine. Japan used to be the "whipping boy" but look how advanced they became! China is already at that point.

Would you recommend the 10xp or the torqx. What are the differences? Is it worth the extra 50 bucks?

Hey Rob! When using a dual action polisher, set your machine to speed setting 5 or 6 for paint correction or use the lowest speed setting for applying glaze, sealant, and wax.

You ordered it from them on Amazon it was cheaper with prime.
what plug does this come with is it going to work properly in the uk without any sort of adapters? thanks in advance i have 1 in basket
The TORQ10FX is available in both 120v and 220v.

can this do everything i would do with a rupes 75e 3" backing plate?? the rupes 75e is what i was planning on buying
