@SteelCityKnives it's close to 900. Around 670 traditional knives, the rest split between fix blades, modern knives hunting knives, and bayonets. FOMO, so true 🤪😁🤣😄
FOMO is definitely real.😆But I told myself back when I started actively collecting knives that they are a "want" not a "need". I've been pretty good about never letting a knife take priority over things that are necessities. But have there been times when I've wanted to spend my weekly grocery budget on an expensive knife that's in a limited run?? Abso-freakin-lutely.😂Have a great Sunday, my friend!
😂😂🤣😂 Love this comment, mate. We definitely should all keep in mind it's a want, not a need😅. Borderline addictions are going on for sure😂. Cheers, David. Have a good Sunday night! 👊
Thanks for the video. An interesting selection and choice of knives. I have some of those (I love ettricks). In the last few years I feel that I have refined my interests - consequently I have found that my budgets have drifted upwards.
Brilliant idea for a video,, 👍,, my (favourite) fomo, is the Spyderco Military, in S110v/blurple, I thought they'd discontinue it, once the Military 2, came out, and I really wanted the liner lock version,, so, fast forward 18months, and HH still have it in store, lol.. At least when I got mine, it was a hell of a lot cheaper,, 🎉,, anyway, it's one of my favourite most carried knives, and it's been out with me this morning for a long walk down the woods,, (no cops where I go,, 🤣🚶🤣)
See, that's another thing, John. All the knife prices seem to be going up also. I'm glad I bought a few when I did. That Otter Stag Boys knife is silly money now. Brilliant knife mate 🫡
I think we all suffer from this. When OKC folded, I thought I had to buy a Rat, even though I didn't need another locking knife. I just panicked that they'd disappear, before I'd ever owned one.
@@SteelCityKnives I need help.😁 Do we need to start Knives Anonymous. We'll have weekly meetings where we discuss our addiction and brothers can try to help us stay strong and fight the temptation to purchase. 😂
Great video! That's a wonderful canoe. I miss out on a lot of knives, just don't have the budget a lot, but it works out for me. I missed out on a light blue copper lock, so got a jack knife instead. Ended up trading it for a amber copperlock that looked way better.
I think trading is the way to go if budget is an issue for sure. I might have to start doing that soon! Hope you are well, brother. Miss our chats, mate. Hopefully, work will sloe down soon 👊

Hope you get something nice for Christmas at least your family knows what to get you. 😁

Well that was an excellent video/video idea! Those pieces are all up my alley, too! I have quite a few 'FOMO' knives, but very few 'missed-out' knives, which I'm rather happy about. There have been a few pieces that slipped through my fingers...sadly one of them was seized at the border. 😢 The others were understandable, as one was an auction GEC 38 in Bloodwood and the other was a Queen Cutlery (S&M) Pen Knife in gold lip pearl from their USA factory! Either way, this video would make for a great open tag. I really like the concept! Cheers, as always!
Good to hear from you, my friend. The GEC#38 is a stunning knife. I remember them doing that in a burnt orange jigged bone 😍. I'm a sucker for any Queen knife. It's funny how we all remember clearly the ones that get away 🤣. Hope you are well, mate? 🫡

Much as I’d like to buy the all, the reality is I have to make a choice…… not always easy 🤣 I can be impulsive too, so maybe waiting on something becoming available and then something else grabs me and I end up buying it 😀 Fantastic selection of knives for this one mate 🔥🔥🔥😎 Thanks brother 😎🙏🏻

@@SteelCityKnives G'day there Brother! Nice of you to reach out. My other problem is selling/trading knives 😂. I've made one short of the E.C Simmons knife just a bit more of a close-up of it. It's really well put together. With brilliant snap. I've always wanted a 940. What do you make of it, Terrill? I missed out on some black Friday deals. Deliberated too much 🙄. Hope you're good, mate? God bless
I'm in the very fortunate(?) position of being retired, single, having no dependants and no mortgage on my house so money shouldn't really be a problem but I have other expensive hobbies to balance my finances with!!! 🤣🤣🤣Spent over £300 on a baby snake recently and don't get me started on the fishing rods and reels. I must admit to sitting on my computer early on a couple of Friday evenings so I could get certain Jack Wolf knives with the covers I wanted otherwise I don't worry too much.
My problem is seeing a review and then buying the knife .... Now I have a collection of nice knives but really not what I like! I have finally quit buying any non-vintage knives, and look for pre 1940's knives. I spend the same but like my collection a lot better!!
