"That Saxophonist" is Frank Vaganée indeed. He is one of the leading sax players in Belgium who deserves respect and don't worry he followed in the best possible way. (i saw the full video since i know all these people well)
I started playing trumpet in 1981 as a kid in 6th grade in Galveston Texas and Wynton has always been by my side( even though he does not know that),he has shown what it takes to step up to the next level as you grow as a musician. Thank you Wynton...and to all of the other musicians out there!
Pure class!...melodically, harmonically...Masterclass indeed! Great to hear top musicians really living out their legacy. A pure joy to listen to & watch, thankyou for sharing.
I know i have good taste for feel now. My first thought was early in the clip not too long after the drummer came in. I thought "...drummers good.... nice feel. Heavy pulse but tasteful..." Then at the end of wyntons solo he looks over at the drummer and gives him a couple nods. I was like " yes!"
ok never read something more true. I never understood the appeal of jazz until I started dedicating all my time to listening and improving in high school
Imagine expecting a normal jam session and Wynton shows up.
It wasn't a normal jam session though, there had been masterclasses during the day and the jam was a part of that. Only Wynton showed up though lol
Camille Thurman showed up to a jam i was at at Smalls the other day. Wasnt expecting that.
the young man playing guitar is vey very good.
He held his own for sure! Very impressive!
Eliott is awesome indeed !
Ive just seen him live in Barcelon, he's incredible!
I was here... What an incredible night...
Thanks Wynton for your Kindness and your encouragement !
must have been magical! i’ve seen him live three times and every time is amazing
That saxophonist has to follow all that up lol
That's Frank Vaganee, he's the 1st Alto and co-founder of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra.

The sound of his trumpet is really real. Also the young guitarist plays good with him.

Wow that bassist just go so well
One and only. Keeping classic jazz alive
When all is said and done , you have to include Wynton as one of the greatest trumpet players of all times...
Greatest musician. The guy is a genius. That word gets thrown around, but man...if Wynton doesnt define it, nothing does.
Of course
They say there are no stupid answers but that's not true
Guitar man the best!
To support the jazz communities and the training you give in music . You dignify our worlds of music.
tight rhythm section
That Trombonist was in Awe. So was I actually.

Cool jam Wynton always brings it. Everyone is playing great. The guitar player kinda looks like Tom Ibarra.

Why don't more Americans appreciate this music?
Because it takes a while to develop taste for it and people don’t have that patience
´cause Murica!
This is American music
Same reason why we voted in Trump...we are dumb

show
It's kind of like a civil war reenactment. Everyone dresses up and acts like it's the olden days.
And who might that drummer be!?
Toni Vitacolonna (drummer of The Brussels Jazz Orchestra)
what no social distancing? what about that young guitar player comping those chords so excellent !
It was before the lockdown in Brussel (this video is from end of February).
THIS DOESNT LOOK 4 K TOO ME......
Music that disregards anything made since the 1950s
Jam session ediquite: dont take super long solos and for goodness sakes give that guitarist some chance to speak
Trumpet player copying Charlie Parker. Pitiful.
Wynton is more wynton than charlie could ever be. Just like stitt is stitt, not charlie
