Thanks for the transcription work. Wynton Marsalis on Top. I've listened to this solo many times but with the score it's even more obvious. It is melodic, varied, swinging, rhythmically interesting with a beautiful sound and good taste. Others have come now but he remains the leader of a 'Marsalis' school and you have to go back a long way in the history of jazz to find such a mentor.
hahahahaha culture and entertainment love the legends throught out the transcription!! GREAT SOLO fantastic work thanks for sharing I love Wynton mid 80's to mid 90's
Can you provide a link to the PDF of the transcription? This one doesn't work anymore. Thank you in advance, I am a trumpeter and I would really like to learn from this solo.
I'm hearing Clark Terry from this. If I had to guess, I wouldn't say that was wynton playing but that just goes to show that he can play anyway he wants.
Sorry, it was such a long solo to transcribe that I couldn't help it. 😅 Anyway, in the description there is a link to the pdf where you can enjoy the transcription without the memes.
Beautiful transcription with A+ memes
Also, besides Wynton & Chris Potter I don't think I've heard anyone play with so much variety over Cherokee
listen deeper
you should really check out this great saxophone player his name is charles parker
@@benjaminmizrach oshit what’s up Ben! Lol

The best Trumpet player, by far, in History!!! Just an astounding prodigy!
5:30 the way he accents those notes and makes that rhythm almost a phrase of its own is just incredible
Been a few years since I listened to this solo. Makes me feel not so bad about giving up playing trumpet and jazz. lol
Brilliant Wynton !!
You are one of the very very greatest!
One of the greatest musicians that has ever lived.
I have seen him play classical too. Wow, mindblowing
Thanks for the transcription work.

He looked annoyed that he missed the final note of the solo. I feel that
But it sounded more unique and i like it more)
That’s what he gets for playing a solo in a bucket mute. ;)

how to make a brass instrument sound like a woodwind :)
Best trumpet player ever
Exactly
"strange face movements" -> he's exaggerating the movement of the muscles all around his lips to get from high notes to low notes faster and cleaner
Oh I forgot I commenting that, was about to comment again lol
Se me ha saltado la lagrimilla en el 2:36
hahahaha
Javi, can I please have the PDF transcription? Thank you.
I have put a link in the description of the video to download it :)
@@JaviAlonsoL thank you.
People: "Wynton Marsalis is overrated."
Inigo Montoya: "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
What mouth piece are they using?
