    Believe it or not, I spent a year and a half from time to time trying to add a title, guided only by the useless User guide (which incidentally has no index). Today I found your video and within ten minutes of viewing it, I created a complex title. Thank you.

    I think you're fantastic man! If people don't like your positive, up beat and fun approach, it's because they're frustrated in life and quite possibly they're envious that you're happy and good at what you do!

      no problem. I have been trying to find a tutorial explaining how or if I can take video clips that Ive edited in the A/V Track waveform window and drag them back up into my library when done, for later use, so they aren't in my way for editing other clips on other tracks. Is there a way I can do this? No is an acceptable answer. Lol.

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  7 лет назад

      Depending on what you are trying to do and it you want to permanently change a file you can make corrections to a files properties while it is still in the library and the corrections will remain with the file.
      If you are editing a file by trimming, splitting, adding effects, etc., you can't drag the changed clip back to the library.
      What you can do is creating a composition by adding mark in and mark out points to the clip to identify which part of the timeline you want to export. then you can export just that section of the timeline to create a new file which will then be added to the library if you're using watch folders or you can import the new file into the library manually.

      It is "us" that should be thanking you for your selfless continued support of Pinnacle Studio. It is a labor of love to the community from you. You've opened up the creative door for many with your tutorials on "how to do this" when others might have thought it was not possible. You've shown what can be done with this editor, exploring the "inner" workings of it and explaining it so that anyone can replicate what you do.
      Your tutorials push the limits of the program in ways that are new and fresh, not just a rehash of the "same old stuff". Cheers my brother!

    I always enjoy your tutorials and have no problem with the way you speak. You aren't the typical announcer type but it is refreshing. Keep them coming. I do have a problem with Corel not correcting the slow motion problem that I had since a update after PInnacle Studio 19 Ultimate just came out. Studio 19 in other words worked great until the update and the slow motion won't work anymore. I would like to see a fix and update for this.

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  7 лет назад

      Thanks for the kind words. Since Pinnacle has moved to version 20 it is highly unlikely that they will be making any fixes for version 19. Unfortunately you will have to do without slo motion if it isn't working. have you reached out to support or the Pinnacle forum to see if there is a solution out there to fix the problem?

    • @Rockshredder
      @Rockshredder 7 лет назад

      It was a glitch or a bug in the programming. A lot of people supposedly had that. I can't believe that they would leave it like that. You have to upgrade to fix what was broken in 19 Ultimate?? Wow! That is very customer service. If version 20 has a problem, we will all have to upgrade to version 21 then 22 to fix the problems in 21. That is not a good way of doing business!

    Hello! +PinnacleStudioPro :)
    I have a problem, so I thought you would know the answer.
    So when I add a photo or a video to main editing screen,
    I go to text editor menu,
    but can't see the "Your Text Here" tittle.
    Why? Because it is under the photo or video, but why?
    How do I get it on to the photo/video?
    (no matter that have you recorded the video with a camera or screen recorder)
    This problem didn't show up when I just bought the PS 18.
    But now it has revealed itself.
    It works on Normal User account as it needs to work,
    but on Administators Account I cannot Add a Text On To The Video.
    Help would be needed! 😊

    The title I have created includes a rectangle in the background with the tile text in front. In My Looks it only saves the TEXT.
    Thanks

    I miss a good alignment. For example: When you have two lists. The left one shows the names of persons you can see in the video. The right one shows the roll name in the video. You want both lists on the exact height. There is no automatic function. You have to do it manually. If you create a red rectangle and a white rectangle. You want to place the retangles next to each other with the same height (above and below). There is no automatic function. You have to do it manually. Am I correct?

    Very informative video thank you. I had a company create an animated front bumper for me with simple text and they left the bottom section open so I could create my own text and lay it over top. They created their text in 1080 in Final Cut and now when I drop my text in from Pinnacle Studio 20 the resolution of that text is noticeably lower on the big screen in 1080p. Is there a way to control the resolution of the text created in Pinnacle?

    Yes, I STILL use Pinnacle 18 Ultimate... LOL!
    Anyway, I tried Pinnacle 20, but I went back to 18, be cause I have the ultimate version.
    Anyway, this is where Pinnacle really drops the ball in video editing.
    While the title editing is AWESOME! The text editing is pretty basic at best...
    I'd love to see more text editing choices in the future.
    It's so odd that there are so many choices to scroll text, there's absolutly nothing to choose from as to animating the text...

    First off, I really appreciate you taking the time to post your tutorial videos...you're doing an awesome job. My question is this; is there anyway to remove or decrease the background noise. I'm making a training video and using a Sony DCR-SX40 Camcorder. In between the speaking parts of the video, there is a rather loud patch of white noise. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    • @PinnacleStudioPro

      +gunnyphi Pinnacle is not good at audio editing. It has features for removing noise but they are not that effective. Pinnacle comes with a free program called izotope which others have said works great at removing noise. I have not used izotope successfully. You can find out more about it on the Pinnacle Studio forum. forums.pinnaclesys.com/forums/242/ShowForum.aspx

    Your speaking is great!! (And your comments and asides are hilarious!) During those seconds of silence, I had to check my computer and its settings; I thought I had accidentally muted the sound.
    As always, very helpful information. Do the lightly inscribed rectangles in the text editor mean anything other than to provide a positioning guide?

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  9 лет назад

      Catherine Pankow Thanks for the kind words. I love entertaining my viewers. The rectangles are for positioning. They are called safe zones. Basically you should keep your text inside of the safe zone to ensure it will be visible on HD or SD displays.

    Love your videos! They've been very helpful to me. I have a question that I have not been able to figure out. If I'm working on a project and decide I want to insert something in the middle of the timeline. How do I create a space in the center but still keep all the work I've done on the tracks forward without changing them. I know I can move each track separately by dragging. But how do I tie multiple tracks together and move them all at he same time.
    I've been using this product for years and haven't figured that out yet. Thanks and keep making videos!!

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  9 лет назад

      If you have PS Plus or Ultimate you can change the timeline mode. Under the Preview Window all the way over to the right you will see an orange icon on the toolbar that looks like a magic wand. If you click on it and change it to Overwrite Mode everything will stay in place when you add clips anywhere in the timeline. If you change it to Insert Mode it will move everything over when you add something to the middle of the timeline. If you have it on Smart Mode Pinnacle tries to figure out what to do for you. Hope this helps.

      +Fugitive136 MY intros are created with Adobe After Effects. You need compositing software to do things like that. I use Pinnacle to edit all of my videos clips.

    I really enjoy your videos just have a quick question, is there a certain amount of layers I can have in the title?

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  7 лет назад

      Not that I know of. Is it not allowing you to pass a certain number of layers? If it is then I guess there is a restriction. :-(

    hello, I enjoy the man walking from the tree video. Is there away I can do the opposite have the people disappear or fade away with a straight shot with no pole, no wall. Just people passing by and if not is there away people can please disappear into the tree. Thank you. Love your videos!

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  8 лет назад

      The person can disappear as long as the shot is static with nothing changing in it. They can disappear into the tree the same way as they walk out of the tree.

    Is there a way in Pinnacle to lock a text to a moving object? Like if I'm have a centered object (ie. camera) and slowly spin the video around it, have a text saying "12 Zoom" at one side while it spins? Thanks again

    Hi, excellent tutorial, answered many questions I had (being a man and previous user of Pinnacle, I jumped straight in without understanding everything!)
    However, I have a couple of issues I hope you can help with. I'm using Pinnacle Studio 18 Ultimate:
    1. When I add a title to a clip, and then watch the title, the video underneath jumps back a fraction of a second. So you see a clip, then when the title appears you see the same clip. I just want a smooth title over running footage, any ideas?
    I can upload a video if it helps?
    2. Using the snapshot tool, I have a similar problem. I click on the button when I'm at the section of footage I want a still of, but the image it grabs is for up to 4 seconds earlier! Any ideas on that please?

    Problem: When I've added a text, I cannot go on, because the playhead sticks to the place where I've added the text. When I try to put it elsewhere it jumps to that spot again. Any help appreciated!

    I wanted to know please if there is a mechanism I can make a person disappear in a video. Let's say my family sitting on a bench and then the bench is empty. Just an example. Thank you. I learned from your great videos already how to type and text over a video. I have Pinnacle 17. I appreciate your help.

      Connect your camcorder via USB and click on the Import tab. Select Camera and it should recognize your device and allow you to import the footage.

    • @PinnacleStudioPro

      You can warp your text in several ways using the effects under Motions and Emphasis. Not sure if you will find one that allows you to match text on a picture though.

    So I should reset the program and it is new. I do apologize for not mentioning that I literally just installed the software and the only thing that is not working is the "titles". Oh the other this is this do you know how many dics should come in the box of software. Again thanks in advance for your help.

      T T Vegas Sometimes things don't work as planned when you install the program. Since you just installed it you can try reinstalling the content files to see if that fixes it. If it doesn't resetting it is the next thing I'd do. Here is the link with the reset instructions in case you need it. www.pinnaclestudio.info/resetting_studio_18.html

    Hey man, awesome video as always!
    I was wondering if it is possible to edit the text to make it move where I want it to move.
    Like adding a text over a moving person so the text will move with the person. Is this possible? Would be very thankfully if you could explain it.

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  9 лет назад

      S4Mir Appreciate the compliment.
      It is not possible. PS doesn't have motion tracking and you can't use keyframes on the text to move it where you want it.

    is there a way using PS (18, 19 or 21) to provide a light grey semi tranparent screen behind the white text , thus ensuring readability anywhere, even when the background on which the title overlays is brighter, whiter?

    Your videos are a LIFE SAVER!!! Need your help... please! I'm putting a video together for 8 exchange students from Japan. Any clue how I can use Japanese characters in the Text.
    The text settings box shows the Japanese characters, but the text on the screen only shows squares. Any help would be appreciated.

    • @PinnacleStudioPro

      In order to view the text you have to select Japanese when you install the software. If you have already done that you may also need to change your system language to Japanese.

    Hi once again, I have been playing around with your suggested fix of doing a quick import on the ixLook files into Pinnical, this did not work, as the extension type was not one of the listed ones for Video, picture, audio or project files, the only way was to change it to all files. I have by the way worked out how to save the title so that it can be used in future projects and that is to do a file save while the title is in the title editor, that file location is then registered in the control panel /storage locations/Titles. I am now able to save my title creations and use them in another project. Thank you for you help, until next time I have a question ( dont think it will be that long)

    • @PinnacleStudioPro
      @PinnacleStudioPro  8 лет назад

      +John Buck So you need to change it to "All Files" to do this, then it will work. I have done it every time I update to the next version of Pinnacle Studio to bring my saved effects, titles, and more over to the new version of the software.
