  • Continuing the1939 Hudson Big Boy Rat Rod build, we first make a curved square tubing section to fit across the newly installed C4 transmission. Then we build a new firewall to allow enough space for the Ford 351 Cleveland engine.

The metal used to make the firewall matches the truck very well. Did your it in that color? lol..
    You cheer me up!
I have worked on a number of imports build with left and right brackets and connected, but if go back at the start, my guess they a latches for the bonnet? Although here, I have had right hand drive cars with similar cross-over bars used for moving brakes, clutch master and petrol controls to the left, only to operate these items from the left, while mounted on the engine side on the right. It is quite ingenious on one hand, yet confusing to see for the first time.
I sincerely hope you did not scratch the blue on the engine! Spray on rust is expensive too!

Very cool video. You have given me a good idea. Get the cab in good enough shape to set on the frame, then figure out where my engine needs to set. Once I have that, then I can finish the cab. My project like yours, the cab floor is kind of been attached by the tin worms(rust) and a little accident of me trying to move it by myself and folding one of the doors in half(which finding a replacement took some time), so once I get the doors opening a closing I can kick the project into high gear. Thanks for all of your great ideas, can't wait to see what you do next.
