The birds sound like what are called corvids or crows. I love them. They are smart and able to develop good (if noisy) relationships with people. In the USA crows, ravens, jays, magpies etc. are all corvids.

Sorry brother I missed your viddddeooo. I was cruising the mountains of Norway. In my ny1972 508mercedes built with 10.000 lbs of square tube. No brakes it was rock and roll dream. Luv ya brother. The original laekka man lekka. I pray for you. D
It's amusing that you ask what the audience would suggest. After watching you work I doubt that I could suggest ANYTHING which would be an improvement. It looks great.
I haven't watched this video, but just finished the previous two. As I watched I thought to myself, what Diff does in his shop in the Forrest, would make a great fantasy Children's book The Mystical Mr. Diff who lives deep in a forrest in South Africa. In this Forrest Mr Diff has a workshop full of magical tools and machines. He uses these to build custom trucks like no has ever seen. You get the idea, what you need is someone who writes that type of book. I'll bet if show them some of your videos, they will develop a terrific book. I'll take one for me, a couple for the great grandsons, what ever it takes for the the rest of the kids in the family. Just thoughts from a crazy old fart in East Texas, where it has been way over 100 for 40 days.......Ron York
You did a great job. The idea of having the tanks vertical in the middle makes for less sloshing around of fuel safer from rear end impact and ease of filling.
Good old days HotRodding at its best. Day’s of using what you have and create what you don’t. Love hanging out with you brother. You inspire me and I’m sure many others , young and old 👍🏻✌🏻
Good tank building process and a good decision on where to put the tanks. I didn't know that I would be getting a math lesson when I started watching your Rat Truck build.
In 1972 we were told that the US would be fully converted to the metric system by 1975! They were off a few decades!!! As a tool and die maker, forced to use two systems of measurement I wish they had followed through back in ‘75!!! It definitely is a simpler, easier method!! These tanks are great!! And the site “glass” level tube is a clever idea!!
I love the tanks. I think the truck is gonna need some boards on top of the box with Rat Rods For Africa routed out and filled with blue pearl epoxy. Have a lekka one brother!
I am in the states. I have done a fair bit of work in Japan and Bahrain and had to use the metric system at times to work with the locals. I wish we would go to the metric system here, so much simpler to work with. Your fuel tanks are an interesting solution to a simple problem.
Greetings from Whidbey Island, Washington State, USA. Don't forget to provide a vent hole in your filler caps. If you don't, your fuel pump will pull a vacuum and eventually starve the engine.
When I was a lot younger I loved roaming around junkyards so much I went to work in one. We used to get between 25 to 50 cars a day. I went home with a truck load almost everyday. Needless to say that the owner of the yard was a pretty cool guy. I think that the 3/8 cross pipe would work when driving but you would need to shut one off for filling. Maybe just vent one of the tanks, like my old Harley does. Just a thought. Keep up the great work.
Pressure testing with air is dangerous. Learned this the hard way... 2 smaller vertical tanks is a great idea, especially considering sloshing of the fuel. Great work!
@@ratrodsafricaIn my job we were testing as you do. When one vessel burst one day @ 5 bar it was epic, and the bottom flying off nearly hit one of my coleagues. Since then we test any tank filled with water - our pump gets to 2,5 bar and we may increase it with air. Water is incompressible and takes the same volume @ 0 as well as 10 or 15 bar. Any leak, no matter how small gets the pressure back to zero. With air a 25 liter tank gets filled with 75 more @ 3 bar. That's a lot of air pushing out. Just 2 bar for example is 2 kg for every square cm of the internal surface of the tank, and for your tank that's 12*12*3.14*56=25321sq cm *2=50 tons. Water does not decompress explosively...
Ha, you're out a decimal place...but the answer was right. Just being a smart arse. Love your work, thanks for posting your videos, I get a lot of inspiration from these.
Div awesome job. It's coming along nicely so far my friend. Can't wait to see more updates an projects and many more videos soon sir. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.

Net so! My favorite shop😁
One of my favorite sayings, one man's trash, another's treasure.
unfortunately because of lawyers and greedy people a lot of junk yards or recycling yards don't allow ''shopping'' anymore
I like your free thinking ability to modify anything into your idea.
Thanks!
Awesome way to build Fuel Tanks and cool way to Mount them. Rat Truck is look Great. Thanks for Sharing with us
Awesome morning brother another awesome adventure with my brother from another country great to see you again brother
Tanks came out great, so glad you added straps instead of welding directly to the tanks!
Now for a RRFA logo between them!
Good idea!🙂

That metal tool box would look so cool in middle of your tanks!!!!!!

Nice work, I think the truck is starting to get a really cool Steampunk theme to it with the added fuel tanks. Coming along quite nicely.
