The birds sound like what are called corvids or crows. I love them. They are smart and able to develop good (if noisy) relationships with people. In the USA crows, ravens, jays, magpies etc. are all corvids.

Diff (Div) your T.I.G. is getting better. Like I've said before, it is way more skill. T.I.G. is unlike M.I.G., where in a good travel speed & temp, can make a good welds. T.I.G. needs practice as the only way to get better, and it is fun. To get a dime, laid-down look, try lower your temp, slow down a bit, and add a little circular motion with your touch. Adjust all as needed to get the look you want. The more you practice and the more you enjoy it, the better you are getting. Also, being able to see your weld puddle is manitoritry. For myself, also being older, my eyes aren’t what they used to be. But, we, back at (Wyotech here in the U.S. way back when), used to call “a cheater lens” or magnifier lens for the inside our welding helmet is a must. Basically, reading glasses for old and/or almost blind welder’s like us. Once, I found the right power cheater lens and could see the weld puddle clearly. It made all the difference for my T.I.G. welding. I love T.I.G. welding more than any other metal work.

Needless to say that the owner of the yard was a pretty cool guy. I think that the 3/8 cross pipe would work when driving but you would need to shut one off for filling. Maybe just vent one of the tanks, like my old Harley does. Just a thought. Keep up the great work.

Daniel Hughes mentioned using clear materials for the tanks. I was picking up a load of produce one night in California, when a beautiful Blue Peterbilt had finished loading and pulled up to close his trailer doors. It was highly customized and lite up. I noticed his fuel tanks were glowing and I could see the fuel moving back and forth inside the tanks. lol. They were illuminated somehow. They were translucent plastic or poly and were lite from behind or top or inside. I didn’t get a chance to ask how he did that but were way cool looking. Never seen anything like that in 40 years of over the road trucking.

    • @ratrodsafrica

    • @EarlyIronAddict427

I searched it and found a custom big truck shop here in the USA called “Chrome Shop Mafia”. They did one similar with acrylic clear on the ends of a tank and it was lite up too. But it was not the one I saw in California. Also these were used with diesel fuel and not gasoline.

Pressure testing with air is dangerous. Learned this the hard way... 2 smaller vertical tanks is a great idea, especially considering sloshing of the fuel. Great work!

    • @ratrodsafrica

Why do you say it's dangerous?

    • @user-hu2iw5qu3i

@@ratrodsafricaIn my job we were testing as you do. When one vessel burst one day @ 5 bar it was epic, and the bottom flying off nearly hit one of my coleagues. Since then we test any tank filled with water - our pump gets to 2,5 bar and we may increase it with air. Water is incompressible and takes the same volume @ 0 as well as 10 or 15 bar. Any leak, no matter how small gets the pressure back to zero. With air a 25 liter tank gets filled with 75 more @ 3 bar. That's a lot of air pushing out. Just 2 bar for example is 2 kg for every square cm of the internal surface of the tank, and for your tank that's 12*12*3.14*56=25321sq cm *2=50 tons. Water does not decompress explosively...

Bracket makes a powerful swear word for polite company - King Charles’ summer garden party for instance. The ratty is looking grand and the rear-end filled with slightly alarming interest! You should add a clearly marked canister, (you could keep your sandwiches in it).

In 1972 we were told that the US would be fully converted to the metric system by 1975! They were off a few decades!!! As a tool and die maker, forced to use two systems of measurement I wish they had followed through back in ‘75!!! It definitely is a simpler, easier method!!
These tanks are great!! And the site “glass” level tube is a clever idea!!

I haven't watched this video, but just finished the previous two. As I watched I thought to myself, what Diff does in his shop in the Forrest, would make a great fantasy Children's book The Mystical Mr. Diff who lives deep in a forrest in South Africa. In this Forrest Mr Diff has a workshop full of magical tools and machines. He uses these to build custom trucks like no has ever seen. You get the idea, what you need is someone who writes that type of book. I'll bet if show them some of your videos, they will develop a terrific book. I'll take one for me, a couple for the great grandsons, what ever it takes for the the rest of the kids in the family. Just thoughts from a crazy old fart in East Texas, where it has been way over 100 for 40 days.......Ron York

Looking quite purposeful, would definitely add more drama with your two part mixing tanks. You should paint each a different color, label them T-stoff and C-stoff like the highly reactive fuels from the Me163 Komet. I am glad you are not putting a tailgate or floor over your beautiful Rube Goldberg creations. Look forward to seeing your progress each week, thanks for the break from my day to day.
