Once you open up the phone I wouldn't trust the phone to be water resistant anymore. Even if you put it on official dealer service it's not the same as the new factory sealed phone.
Put it all back together and all black screen. Went back and re attached the lcd and digitizer, put all back together thinking had to finish if it's a ground issue, but no, still black screen :0( Please help...
Save Apple Dollars So I took it all back apart and carefully seated the connections once again. And yes it ended up working. But the front camera I Purchased from Amazon was defective. So I asked for a refund on that one and I ordered another one from another merchant. It’s supposed to be here tomorrow. I’ve installed these before in my iPhone 6 Plus. But you really have to be careful and I really enjoyed your video. By the way I had an aftermarket screen on my 6+ end it was unresponsive on the edges. The best kind to buy is a refurbished with a genuine Apple digitizer, which I got on Amazon.com for $40 and replaced it again and it works beautifully. Just an FYI for people who want to replace their screens, they usually have problems when they’re aftermarket. Thank you again, Deborah

hey I have an iPhone 7 plus 32GB super happy with it but it is that the last one when I record a video with the front camera it gives my voice but muffled with hissing sound but if I rub a few times with a small piece of sharp object then in the hole where the mesh and ear speaker is freed very slowly then he does it again for a while and automatically falls back to the muffled with hissing sound and then I have to repeat this again but I want to get rid of this but the front camera is replaced enough to solve this or has the ear speaker been replaced? Using with front camera only works without sound and or ear speaker while speaking works
Just wanted to ask, I had a professional change the battery and housing of my iPhone 7 Plus. Everything was fine until I realized today that the front camera was not working when I tried to use FaceTime. I don’t believe that the camera is broken or malfunctioned since it was functioning well before opening the phone. Could this could be due to connector not being installed right or tightly enough? I’m worried the shop will say that it’s broken just to charge me extra for reconnecting it
Does this part have the microphone as well? Because my iPhone 7 Plus front microphone doesn’t work and Apple is charging over 200 to replace the whole screen, I just want to know if replacing this part it would fix this problem, thanks

No, your home button will not stop working, it will work just fine. On the other hand the home button is the only piece that can't be replaced because it's tied to that phone from factory.
As soon as I finish replacing it, I put it all together, and everything seemingly works fine. Then i hit the home button and it doesn't work. I hate iPhone

Yes it would, but you can buy new adhesive very very cheaply on ebay and there is youtube guides on how to replace it.

Could be the screen is bad. Is old one showing anything? Try to replace the new one for another.

I'm lost after the two guiding pins because you are not installing a brand new camera.
The camera is attached to the ear speaker cable and the whole flex cable has to be replaced with the camera on it, its not just the camera itself

I had to do the same thing but it worked for me. You probably damaged the cable when you were removing it.
