It's so cool to hear that the video of Grayson's play THE SUICIDE in which she co-starred with Derek Jacobi was screened--or planned to be screened. I would presume that the tape was loaned from Grayson and Sam. It was shot with three cameras and the original tape is in the archives of the Billy Rose Theater Archive at Lincoln Center. It's really fascinating. Wish it would be released to home video although I imagine it would be considered of mainly "niche" interest.
You are far too kind to include me among the "recognized" as I only caught a fleeting glimpse of me. But thank you so much for posting this! I had forgotten what kind of clothes we wore back in 1983! LOL
Takes several minutes to get going, but once it does, it's pretty neat. It's a convention that continues to grow a little larger every year., thank goodness!!
I'm Scott Denny I was there and can be seen as the camera swoops backwards.I was so thrilled when I went to this and was so amazed at how much I learned of the series that I thought I already knew but did not.
This is the first DS Festival that I ever attended! Can't believe it was that many years ago! My friend, Joe Collins was emcee at the Festival! Sadly, Joe passed away in the early 90's!
+Belleroguy Did you ever post the interview with writer Ron Sproat ? I have never never seen him and I understand that HE was a friend of Jonathan Frid's and that he Ron Sproat might have had a say in the choosing of Mr Frid for the part. There are a lot of different stories out there.
Marcy Robin! I wish I was there! I didn't join the fun until the first one in Manhattan. It's really been a long trip, and a good one. I see a few familar faces in the audience! Ones I have not seen in years,

It's too bad that Johnny Depp could not attend as a fan heard he wanted to and he loved the show but he had prior engagements. Too bad.
