Umarex makes some really cool replica guns, I have the peacemaker as well but with nickel finish/white grips and the BB version and it’s surprisingly accurate and fun for backyard tin can plinking or at a campsite
you can shoot pellets with your SAA, but not BB in a pellet gun, the barrel is too fine for the BB.
I'm working on converting a Denix Lemat into an airsoft Lemat. Right now, I'm focused on swapping the hammer and triggerguard and getting it properly blued. Trying to find and track down someone who managed to make a succesful conversion and posted it on Reddit.
I wish there were more airguns of classic revolvers. Would be really nice.
Yeah my life story just wishing there where more 😂
Oh, if you like this gun you must try the Barra Schofield! They are smoothbore BB guns but are amazing accurate and very authentic. If you buy one buy it direct from them because they give free shipping and don't charge tax. The Crosman 1875 Remington is also a superb revolver. Btw....every single one of these guns is made by KWC they are the OEM.
The Schofield is a gem. It's real close to the Uberti .45 Colt Schofield. A friend of mine saw both laid out and he was confused. Saves a whole lot of ammo and $$$
when practicing with the Barra.
Wish I had that growing up. BB SIngle action...not rotating barrel. Sigh...
G'day bloke, I'm from Australia stumbled across you're channel. I'm a fan of old pistols and rifles. Looking forward to more of you're vids.
I have the exact same umarex colt but mine is smooth bore 4.5 mm steel bb. I use both bb and pellets in them and mine is significantly more accurrate then yours and I shoot at 30 feet. I consistently achieve groups of 1 inch by 1 inch at 30 feet put doors.
Mind you that's with no wind.
On windy days I shoot on my indoor range at 30 feet. I get slighly tighter groups.
Also out doors due to movement of the sun your point of impact changes slightly.
Indoors due to fixed artificial lighting point of impact is point of aim.
I am.a collector shooter of 100% original fully functioning firearms for 63 years with 726 powder burners in my collection dating from 1420 to 2022 and a collector shooter of airguns for 63 years with 150 in my collection dating from 1880 to 2023.
I very much enjoy both your powder burner videos and your airgun videos.
I have the airsoft model that they make. Now I just need a lever action and I can cowboy up at my local airsoft field!
I have two of these one is the version you have and the other is a custom one that Pyramid Air made for me to order! Both seem to prefer wadcutter style pellets. I recommend the RWS Hobby or RWS Diabolo Basic pellets they are both 7gr. 7.9 is a little heavy for a gun like this increasing your dwell time in the barrel which means follow through is even more critical. If you are liking this you should see Pyramid Air's custom gun designer for this gun. There are so many options......lol. Btw...these guns are really regulated or sighted in for 10 meter shooting which is the standard airgun distance for many airgun disciplines. I'd recommend trying it at 7yds at your local range or 10m if you can do that in your backyard. Just subbed to your other channel!
I just got mine last week and I love it except when I fanned it when I shot my 2nd loads the small pin on the hammer fell out and went between the cracks on my deck. I'm still very impressed.
Seems like you learned a hard lesson not to fan these, they cant take it as neither can the real original s they all break, only special race guns modified can be fanned.
Good for practicing the spinning
You should try the Schofield airgun.
Thanks, much appreciated. Very informative and well done!
Thanks for watching!
7:11 nice, even sounds real 😁
I run 3 of the airsoft versions when i go play. Sure, I'm out gunned but it's a lot kore satisfying
I bought this recently and love it
Great video that is a very sweet looking revolver! I bought one used yesterday mine is blued but only has colt single action army.45 on the barrel on the grips has a spade with fancy swirl's. When i put a co2 cylinder in it it leaks most of it out. But is pretty cool looking gun. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy
They have a German WW2 MP 40 that looks and feels just like the original! That company makes many nice replica firearms! 🇺🇸🤨
I agree! I also have their Glock 19 and it’s amazing!
The Mauser M712!
I have the MP40. Trust me, it's very hard for me to shoot well, especially in full-auto..
...because I'm laughing too hard; it's that much fun. ;-)
I have this gun and today (5/31/23) it's being sent back to Umarex because of a loose barrel resulting in significant inaccuracies. Love this video and near the end you say that you have another video at Air Guns Are Amazing where you use different pellets in this gun. I couldn't find it, could you provide a link?
Loose barrels are a big fault with these guns l have 3 a silver pellet, a black pellet and a blued bb, the silver had a loose barrel as did the black one the blued is not yet loose, l took back my black one to the gun store l bought it from he in turn returned it to his provider who tightened the barrel, l then sent the silver for same both under warranty it came back tight but the turning mechanism didnt work after 5 weeks they sent me a brand new silver gun saying they couldnt repair the other, and guess what the barrel was slightly loose, l questioned them and they said the barrel being slightly loose made no difference to the accuracy as the inner barrel wasnt affected, l couldnt believe this answer l said if the outer barrels loose its not going to lay straight with the rear sight groove, they still refused to fix it it was a case of like it or lump it, the gun is fireable and fairly accurate the barrels looseness is not very noticiable for now, but if its loose it will get looser and overtime become very loose, apparantly umarex know of this fault and if you can get to them they will fix it, but it begs the question why not fix the fault befoe they are sold ? I wrnt into another gun shop today they had the same gun 2 in a presentation box with inlays in the handle and one separate like my black one l told the store clerk about the barrels being loose he tested all 3 and all 3 had noticibly loose barrels, and seeing as the double set presentation were £485 you would expect better.
@@biggusdickus5986 Great answer - thanks!! Got mine back from Umarex and it shoots much better. I now treat it as if it's made of glass so the barrel isn't bumped and I don't want to reach in and see just how firm they got the barrel (until I have to). 50 feet from a rest and I can shoot a quarter sized pattern. If it gets loose again, then I'll follow the instructions from several RUclips videos on how to disassemble it and I'll get the barrel much more solid. I know it has to move in "outside" barrel but I can shim it out and with some gun oil, have it slide back/forth but not up/down.
Actually in some venues that IS A FIREARM. Laws sometimes define a firearm as any device that uses stored energy (CO2) to fire any projectile.
And even where it is legal, cops will think it is a firearm. So please be careful.
New Jersey and Michigan are terrible states. Especially the latter. GO BUCKS
🎉congratulations on your purchase,is fun loading the gun ,mine are in the box but 1875 is a killa, nice scales I just got faux ivory but that’s fine,I hope you enjoy it because I need new beer can so I can put it away I have no idea how many reload I did
The longer grip is actually a good thing if you have big hands like me. It is a lot more comfortable to hold than the real thing, but its not really a Peacemaker because that had a slightly shorter barrel which made it more balanced for fast draw. With this longer barrel it makes it a bit harder to get out of the holster for fast draw and it is not as balanced for finger spinning.
You can cut it down with a Dremmel, although you will cut thriu the inner barrel too, but remove the foresight and leave it off or reattache by dremelling a groove and using metal weld glue, and you have the shortened version.
The *real* peacemaker originally came with a 7.5 inch barrel, and was later issued in a number of different lengths, some longer and some shorter than this.
@@zc8211 There was the 7 and half inch barrel for the cavalry, the 5 and half inch for the army and public, shorter barrels like the 4 and 3 quarters were added for police until they developed a police special
@@zc8211there was a 7 and half inch barrel Peacemaker by Umarex, but it's very hard to get a hold of here in England anyway. I have 4 of these 5.5 inch ones, one is Blued and BB only, the other 3 are 2 in black and one in silver, all 3 are 177 pellet
I have been looking forward to this. I have been wanting one of these
It’s really fun! CO2 guns don’t have much power, even for an airgun, but I always have a good time with them.
Love the video very informative thanks
Thanks for informative and fun video! Would it be more accurate to shoot co2 guns slowly so they don,t cool and drop velocity?
Seems really fun to shoot some cans with, might make a great gift for my nephew when he gets a bit older
They are great for that, you're right great fun, add in some large cookies that crumble like shotgun targets and they will even work on the targets that get pushed up and brought back down by hitting a certian other target
can i use bb's instead of pellets and goto a airsoft game with this?
I've enjoyed mine excellent quality. A few of my cartridges stick in the cyl and I have to use the ejector rod . That's still cool because my real 45 Doe's same thing .so it just adds to realisem
Good stuff. Dusten. Thankyou. Joe Security.
and they take darts in the bb and pellet shells.
Recently bought an Uberti 1951 Colt Navy from Midway. Kinda interested in what I should buy to make ammo, and if you could find it in a convince store or make yourself.
In a way I think all firearms are essentially High powered air guns. They all just shoot lead or a projectile.
Decent video 🤙
Thank you so much! I made such a FOOL of myself on Amazon review. I fixed it.
- Come on now, spill the beans… what did you say in that pre-edited review?
I got one of my own. Beautiful and classy ❤️🇺🇸
Red dead redemption 2 vibes
just wondering but is it possible to fan fire?
You can but l wouldnt as your hammer and ratchet mechanism will break in no time fast, the real Colts can't even take it, the ones you normally see being fanned are race guns especially modified to be fanned.
I like it .!!.
Thanks for posting this 👍👍
Can this fire bbs
No, but they do make a BB version as well.
Yeah if it wasn't for the clunky cylinder when you turn it and the hollow feel to the grips it'd be very close
Fan the uberti walker pls
I think I’ll pass on that. LOL
Good video Dustin, nice replica but I prefer the real thing.
The real thing is of course the best but for some can plinking fun with very inexpensive ammo you can fire indoors if you set up carefully you cant beat these great copys.
I wonder if anyone makes a 22 or 25 caliber version of it. I know there are 25 caliber because I have seen them H&N's website. Of course they make a variety of ammo types and for those who have a thing for stuff made in Germany like me that is where they are made.
These functioning replicas are really good for getting used to the feel and function and weight of this gun before buying the real thing.
I actually prefer the large handle of the air gun version, gives me more real-estate to hold onto.
Walter is that you walter
Does it have a rifled barrel?
It does.
Which type of pellets are reccomended?
I’ve been using Crosman Premier and they work pretty well.
@@GunsOfTheWest thanks
It's a beautiful little pistol I bought one but within less then a year blew it ceiling won't hold air anymore now it's just a paperweight pretty paper weight but it's just a paperweight bought it from pyramyd Air
You can put two pieces of gaffer or duct tape over the ends of the co2 bulb nipple and then a piece of plumbers ptf tape over those and wrapped around nipple ( not as bulky or as time consuming as it sounds a matter of a minute or so to perform ) and it stops the co2 escaping, worked well on mine which l got tired of replacing even tho the seals are cheap to buy they can be tricky to replace, anyway been using mine that way and work just fine, l hope this helps

I was extremely fast one-handed drawing with my single action Ruger Blackhawk. Wore out my first holster before i even fired a live round. I won a lot of money betting that if you stood in front of me and held your hands 10 in apart, I could draw my gun and your ands would never meet. I bet $20, never lost, ..They all wanted to try again, okay but each time is double or nothing. Practice every day for hours for months. MY QUESTION>>>>>>have you ever held a real single action six shooter and if so, how is the weight compere between them? I moved to a country where it is a pain in the ass to bring or acquire a real gun but miss the practice itself. I was thinking about purchasing a replica like you have.
Can you hip fire it
Can you spin the chamber like the real one?
Because of the way the internals work, it doesn’t turn as easily as the firearm version.
Awesome video brother, thanks
Hi !
Can this product use both pellet and bb?
This one is said to only shoot pellets, but there is another one that only shoots BB’s.
@@GunsOfTheWest Thanks. which one is better in your opinion ?
I have both a silver pellet firer and a blued bb firer and to be honest id say theres not much difference in them in fact l was pleasantly surprised at how accurate the bbs were l never used them before but when l did l liked them so much l bought a Crosman Remington 1875 that fires both and a Schofield m3, and now have 20,000 umarex bbs as they are remarkably inexpensive compared to pellets, even which tho cheap are not as cheap as the bbs ( everythings more expensive here in the UK , for instance the peacemaker shown is £245 here, though in America its cheaper in dollars, and with the exchange rate slightly in our favour we should be paying around £90 in reality even less in some cases but unfortunately acquiring them here is a minefield, they cannot be sent thru the post by law, they must only be purchased from a licensed gunshop and proof of age and identity shown at purchase, they can only be fired in an enclosed space like a walled backyard, or on a permitted landscape, so importers use all this to gouge us in price, but the guns look so good and are great fun l dont mind so much but it is a liberty on the providers part lol.
@@biggusdickus5986 thank you so much for more information. I bought the pellet version. however i wish i got the bb.😏
👍🏻 I have John Wayne edition. Very fun. But the piece where the co2 punctures & seals broke. :(
Yep I bought one just like he's doing a video on lost it seal in less than a year loved it until then now it's only a paperweight
@@waltermears3044
I haven’t bothered to look into it but I’m hoping some time to replace the part.
I think I didn’t seal co2 good; it leaked & froze that little metal circle piece and then it broke.
I hope this helps you, l got tired of having seals replaced, and found if l took two small pieces of gaffer tape or duct tape and placed them over the bulbs nipple then another piece of plumbers tape over and wrapped round the nipple ( not as bulky or time consuming as it sounds just a few seconds a minute at most ) it stopped the co2 leaking so thats what l do now, havent replaced a seal in a year. I don't know the extent of damage to your seals but it sounds similar too mine and l hope my tip works for you.
@@biggusdickus5986 a video would be good. :)
Thanks and nice name.
@@andrewfett142 l tried making a video but l dont have the skills or patience, it would come accompanied by lots of bleeps to cut out the swearing so would be little use lol, I'll pass on your like of my name to my wife Incontenentia Butox 😂
Too bad here in CA unable to get one... 👎
california or canada?
@@sidegrabsheriff ... Commy-fornia 😜
YOOO HEISENBURG
I Have 35 Umarex réplicas . . . .👍
It costs as much as my actual revolver that shoots real bullets...
True, but I would not advise shooting a real one in your house. Generally frowned upon by the better half.
@@Kremit_the_Forg Fair enough. 😄
They retail at $150. What SAA revolver can you get for 150
@@AaronHuie That's about how much I bought my Uberti Navy London for.
Well considering all that goes into manufacturing irrespective of it being air or powder, why wouldn’t they cost about the same. True, som machining and material needs to be better quality on a real pistol, but not most if it is a quality air pistol. Then you have all other costs, staff, facilities, packaging, design, over head, marketing, transportation etc, that are probably similar.
Very nice..
I think theses guns are fantastic. at least from seeing them demo'd here on you tube. I would do well to let people know that in some states the same laws apply to pellet/BB guns as they do for "real" firearms. For instance, in that USA state of Oklahoma a person with a felony conviction CANNOT own a firearm of any kind, including pellet/BB gun. They are all lumped together and are not legal. Be sure to check laws in whatever state you might live in.
you look like heisenburg
waltuh
👏👏👍👍🇧🇷🇧🇷
Bought one but HATED those grips. The shape is ALL WRONG. The maker should find a way to correct the shape of those horribly shaped grips.
Too bad about that horribly shaped grip. I love the Colt SAA revolvers. Bought one of Umarex guns and gave it away to a friend the next day. The grip and feel of the gun was really way off. The real guns had the best grip shape and balance of anything on this planet. Wish they could redesign the gun and use green gas instead of the CO2 cartridge which caused them to reshape the grip so the CO2 cartridge could fit.
I have the,
NRA version
John Wayne version
Texas Ranger version
Marshall version
Ace in the Hole version
Gold and nickel version
Pity Umarex couldn’t have designed the hammer properly to sit closer into the frame.
He explained why it can't sit closer because of the co2 release. Shame like you say because aesthetically it does spoil the look when its just to be looked at, you sem to have cornered the market in the special editons, you realky do like them dont you, l have 3 the silvered rifle barrelled one in pellet, a blacke one rifled in pellet and a blued smoothbore in bb. The bb is quite accurate which surprised me as l wasn't a big fan of them but the little buggers can't half ricochet with considerable power, safety glasses a necessity with those. 😂
I also have the Schofield Mark 3, quite powerul l find and the Crosman Remington 1875 which again smoothbore like the Schofield, and again surprisingly powerful for co2, l also have a British Webley VI in 22., quite rare now.
I also have another black peacemaker l used a Dremmel on to cut down to the length of the ejector rod shroud as l couldn't get my hands on the shortened version to practice fast draw, l removed the foresight and replaced it by dremelling a small groove in the barrel and using metal weld glue to stick it back in but l may remove it permanantly for ease of draw.
@@biggusdickus5986 thanks for the reply. I have an acquaintance who does a modification to reduce the hammer distance. Not perfect but certainly looked more authentic. My list above was slightly truncated as I have about 30 replicas including a Colt SAA modified to .43 calibre. Aged Schofield in .177 pellet, silver Schofield modified with full length .22 rifled barrel and co2 valve, Webley MKVI .22 Battlefield, Webley MKVI .177 Exhibition model and two Walther Umarex Winchesters. I won’t start on my Semi-Autos. Oh, I nearly forgot my 1970 Crosman Colt Peacemaker .22 Mod 44 which I got as a present in said year.
tryna give me a different revolver for free then?😭 i regret buying mine because of the black grip. i should have gotten ANY other colt saa.
Ha ha ha I like it
These things work for about 3 Co2 cannisters before they squart all the air out and they are broke. So I just throw it on the pile with the rest of them. Co2 guns are no good.
I'm not much of an airgun person, because they are just expensive toys, but I love this one. I'm going to get one. Then I can wear my real gear for Halloween and not be harassed!!!
