I love my semi cured nail strips but notice that after about 10 days, one or two will begin to lift on an edge. My hair gets caught under the nail where it's lifted and is very annoying. Therefore, this morning I did a test. I put a regular nail polish, top coat, over the gel nail that was lifting and made sure to go over the lifted edge with it. It's been a couple hours and it seems to have taken care of the problem, even after doing some light house cleaning and running my fingers under water. The regular top coat also put a beautiful shine on that nail. I'm going to go over all my gel nails now with the regular top coat. I think this hack may give me an extra week out of the strips. I've gotten very good at getting the strips close to my cuticle without getting them on the cuticle, which will enable me to get a good 3 weeks out of the strips. To get the gel nail strips off, I'm thinking I'll need to use regular nail polish remover first and then the gel strip oil to remove the strips. The brand of top coat I use is Mineral Fusion so that's the brand of remover I'll also use to get the top coat off. I love that brand!
The removal process makes it a no-go for me…although these would be good for when one of my nails starts tearing at the quick, it would def save my nail
@PerfectNailsAtHome you did it correctly! The instructions said to do it exactly like how you did it, just ignore the comment above saying to file before curing, that is incorrect 🤨
I prefer nail polish more. I tried semi cure nail strips and gel nail polish. They take too long to remove and no matter how careful you are, after several applications, your nails will start peeling and weaken. Moreover, you have way cheaper alternatives using press on nails. I would only use press on or semi nail strips for nail art patterns cuz I can’t do it with my non-dominant hand. For everyday look, simple nail polish is the best. Cheap and easy to remove.
That is definitely a personal preference and certainly not "one size fit all" outcome Honestly nail polish can be a huge disadvantage too I recently invested in Dazzle Dry nail polish system and while it was literally 1 2 3 step system it also damaged my nails which was shocking since it is labeled as and claimed to be healthy for the nails and claims to make nails stronger I was actually worst off using Dazzle Dry in the end then when I started, again not "one size fit all" experience 😩
Tengo una duda a ver si me pueden ayudar .... se supone que se pongan duras rapido que las sacar de la maquinita o se ponen duras mas tarde ?? 😅 perdon la ignorancia . Compre hoy y no se si es que lo estoy haciendo mal
Did you get the semi cured? Those need a UV light and in my experience, they harden right away but continue to harden as time goes okay. Fully hardened within an hour or so.
I just got some from Temu for 3.49 and they have some for even less 😮 I usually do Gel X or gel overlay, but wanted to try some Halloween gel nail strips. Looks easy enough 😊

it’ll be easier to shape if you file before hardening it
Will try to do it that way next time, thank you! 💅😍
