  • Hiiii! I always get asked my nails so I figured I'd make a video on how I do them :) In this video I share how I get my $4 sticker nails to last for 2 weeks. I get the stickers from Dashing Diva BUT I apply them my own way. I've tried dashing diva in the past multiple times and every time the stickers would lift. Please watch how I apply them in order for them to last. The stickers are $10 but you can get two uses out of them (I do my toenails with whatever is left). Theres always coupons for Dashing Diva so just look on their website or RetailMeNot.
    Products used:
Make sure to get the GLAZE Dashing Diva Gel Nail: dashingdiva.com/collections/g...
    Cuticle Trimmer/Pusher: www.amazon.com/Easkep-Profess...
Base coat used is called Seche Clear Base Coat: www.amazon.com/Seche-Clear-Ba...

I’ve been doing Diva nails for a while now..I use a top coat then use a UV light… this really seals them. I use a rubber tipped manicure stick to smooth everything down. My stickers don’t lift and last 2 weeks. It would be longer but after 2 weeks I want a change.I love their stickers and probably have 50 packs waiting for me. Just addicted.

Hi. This is probably a really silly question but is it a gel top coat that you use? I love gel nails but have given up doing my own with polish as I make a real mess or removing it and damage my nails - hence considering the sticker gel wraps. TIA. :)

    • @kathyvanaernam4437

@@smidgekat5296 not silly at all. Yes, I use a clear gel top coat and use the lamp that Diva sends you. I have a big lamp, but I don’t often get it out. The small ones do the trick. This seals the edges nicely. I’m wearing the Christmas stickers now and they are so cute. They last for 2 weeks at least. My nails grow out so there is a space between the sticker and cuticle so then I change the sticker. I think I’ll put on the gingerbread cookie stickers next…they are adorable!

@@kathyvanaernam4437 Oh wow... The gingerbread ones sound so cute! Thanks very much for the info... I am definitely going to give these a try. I got over excited today and ordered a whole load of stickers on eBay... Should keep me going for about a year!😂 Thanks for your reply.x

Thanks for your reply 🙂I will try that - hopefully with just the one layer of gel it won't be too much of a nightmare to remove. My real nails are very weak - particularly my thumb nails that split really low down. The Gingerbread cookie stickers sound gorgeous! @@kathyvanaernam4437

I like cute designs and a bit of bling so I use the nail wraps and then add cute designs with stamping or foils or stickers or water decals. I always get compliments and like to change my nails weekly. No soaking or drilling gel off for ages. Easy peasy.

I’ve been using DD for a couple of years now. I have found that putting a thin coat of builder gel on the bare nails before applying the sticker works better than just a base coat. Builder gel will harden your nails nicely. So, if you have weak nails, then give builder gel a try. I also put a coat on the top of the DD sticker. It also helps with any ridges in the nail. But, doing whatever works for each individual is the key!

Thanks for the video. I'm a older lady & I got acrylics one time this year for a event girl they absolutely ruined my natural nail really bad and I only had them on for a shirt time I think it may be because I'm older & need more calcium in my diet but I had to do something to cover my natural nails till they healed themselves. I'm still learning hiw to put these on. I did my first wraps this week and I really like them since I don't have to look at my real nails lol. Again thanks for the video. Oh by the way I like the fact your a rock climber...you rock 🪨

I'm always curious to see how people will do their nails with the Dashing Diva products but what surprises me is that you don't cure your strips...the Glaze costs more for that reason. You might want to try the Gloss if you don't want to cure, they're cheaper. If you like thicker strips, they have the Gloss Artist Edition that seems to be thicker according to the package. I haven't tried them personally.

I agree. This is the craziest video ever. No wonder why hers start peeling off. Mine last 3 weeks or longer. No base coat no top coat. The uv light is what makes them stick.

Wood thing is called an orange stick and they are best for pushing cuticles. Netal can damage your nail bed.

So you don’t use the light to finish curing? I use the exact same nails (semi cured gel glaze nails from dashing diva) and put them on using the manufacturer’s instructions and then double cure with a uv light. The nails last 3 weeks. They come in the exact same boxes you were showing. Maybe because you don’t cure them, that is why they lift off.

Lol I use eyebrow scissors too to cut the excess off. I use the Gloss nails usually but thought I’d give these a try. Have you tried the Red Therapy under these? It might help with the staying on. I’m gonna use it under these see if it works.

Thanks for sharing this. I would assume this works best for very short lengths. I would think without curing, they'd be too soft if you wanted a length that extends much past the natural nail.

Curious.... did you ever try curing after doing your nails this way? As im watching , im thinking "omg your doing everything they say not to!" Base coat, file before cure, and cuticle product right away.. ahhh!! But im gonna try your way once. Power Pink is also my absolute FAVORITE and off all the colors I've tried, it is the WORST at lifting!!!! I've tried four boxes of this color and expertly apply according to their directions. No matter what, they lift almost instantly, though I've had great success with other colors. I've reached out to their customer support too. I apply all of them exactly the same each time, so I'll buy Powder Pink once more and try your way. No light. Im shook!

    • @FaithMancuso
      @FaithMancuso  Год назад +4

Hi!!!! Yes I had the same exact issues as you!!!! The best color by far i tried branching out and only like powder pink and this blue color. But I did try curing them after once and i think it still made them lift because basically it makes the sticker hard so it lifts easier!! Forsure try this. I do it with a base coat that is for UV and it works so good! Try getting the same one i got the link is in the bio and you can probably find it other places.

Yes! I do it this way and occasionally i'll use the gel light. With my experience the gel light hardens the sticker and it lifts easier which then my hair always gets stuck under my hair and out rips out my hair which I hate
