Wow !! I spent a long time finding a didactic tutorial to do this. I'll even download your video to never lose. Thank you very much for your contribution.
I've been trying to sync onedrive on Ubuntu since a long time now. This video is extremely elaborate and works perfectly.
Thanks so much!!!
Thank you very much. It is all working perfectly having followed this video. The Ubuntu 18.04 package I installed previously failed to work correctly and had to be uninstalled. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. Fantastic work - saved me hours.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It is really helpful, especially during Online School! Thanks
Well done! I appreciate the walk through from A to Z to get it up running. Very complete tutorial and best of all, it works! There are some weird things happening but i will reboot to see what has happens. It seems one drive has a locked my mount directors!!! strange.
Awesome. I didn't know that was possible. OneDrive was about the only thing stopping me using Ubuntu exclusively as I need it for work.
It is a very, very useful video, this helped to me a lot. It still works at this time. Spectacular.
It worked in my Zorin OS. I tried many ways before this. Thanks a lot.
Best tutorial ever. Clean and worked perfectly thanks man :D
thank u boy u helped me a lot and the best yt tutorial for onedrive
Great video, now I can have my files on Ubuntu. Subbed.
Thank you very much for your video!!! It works very well.

This worked. Thank you so much!

Thanks so much!
Good job!
Thank you very much mate
Thank you so much, now I can keep my 10TB RAID 0 HDD backed up to 25TB OneDrive cloud storage.
Glad the video helped, it's always good to have an off-site backup 😉
Thanks it worked..
Thx a lot!
Hi thank you for your video how do I ensure the sync is not turned on automatically. I didn't add the command in start up. Also in future if I need to uninstall can you please help with that as well.
excellent
Instant thumb up for cat wallpaper!
Can you please share the icons and the theme used in the video (not the virtual box one).
Thank you
uhmm, is this program any different from the one that already comes installed by default?
How can you completely remove the connection to your private data? When you dont use the PC anymore and dont want other users have access to your data
authorize onedrive when i paste the url then show error400 bad request and many errors , invalid request
Hi, if system goes offline does data will present on mounted dir ?
Very nice instruction. I have a question about how to show the others shared fold in the local fold?
Thank you very much for your comment. In order to have shared folders be synced to your PC, you simply need to log on to OneDrive online and then click Add To My OneDrive from within the shared folder. Hope this helps in some way.
Legal, mais muito complicado! tenho debian 10, e onedrive, teria uma maneira de fazer pelo kde plasma? obrigado!
I followed your instructions from the video precisely but I did not receive a link to connect to my Microsoft oneDrive account, instead I got the reply: "--synchronize or --monitor switches missing from your command line input. Please add one (not both) of these switches to your command line or use --help for further assistance.
No OneDrive sync will be performed without one of these two arguments being present.", when I entered the onedrive command, as in the video around 6:52...
Can someone help me?

hey! what is the syntax for the list of ignored directories? same as for files? and what about subfolders? thanks a lot for this!
hello, have you found it for subfolders?
When modifying a file on OneDrive folder, it will sync as soon as possible or i need to run the command to sync?
Hi, thanks for your comment; if you have the client running it will sync automatically. It should detail how to have the command execute on startup in the video. That will then keep your files synced automatically indefinitely. Hope this answers your question, Lime.
@@limeparallelogram7221 Ah, thanks! I've added the command to run on startup again, and it seems to be working just fine. New files synced on OneDrive instantly. Thanks for helping me out!
Great tutorial however I'm stuck at the 8:56 mark. In essence, I do not have a separate drive on my machine. I only have one drive with just one partition and it will not let me create a folder "Onedrive" there. Is there a workaround to that?
heyy Tom, just open that disk in terminal and type"sudo mkdir user/ OneDrive" *in user u have to put ur user name
I don't understand the folder structure. I followed all the steps to the letter but when I got to 9:19 I noticed that there was no folder called OneDrive already present??? I only had something called OneDriveTemp
If you look the video again you'll see that she created it 8:59
Hello, i followed all the steps but i dont see the files from my onedrive coming into the folder i selected
And i uploaded a file to the folder i made and that isnt in my onedrive either
The terminal show the downloading is done but I can't find my file anywhere, anybody help

Hello when i go in the link i have nothing in the web site can you help me please :)
?
If you are talking about the link it gives you to authorise, you paste the link into your browser, log in if asked then it sends you to a blank page.
On the blank page, copy the URL in the address bar and paste that into terminal
Does not auto-connect after rebooting. The only OneDrive sync that does work is the Skillion installation and that also only works if you give the command through the terminal which is useless.
The skilion client was abandoned in 2018. It should not be used. It contains defects that put you at risk of data loss if you use it. If the client is not auto-connecting after a reboot, ensure you have enabled the correct service file and options & have Internet connectivity. Why you stopped making videos??
Thank you so much! It works but the sync stops every 50 -100 files syncs. Do you have an idea why?

@@alexbraunegg71 Hallo Alex, could you please tell me if there is available a command to update the client version?
I run the version 2.4.4 but, at the moment, the latest version available is 2.4.9
Thank you in advance.
@@Felnap I am assuming here you are Ubuntu given this video content. You have 3 options:
1. Update to a more modern Ubuntu and use the Ubuntu PPA
2. Build from source
3. Become the Ubuntu Package Maintainer for Universe and backport the Debian packages to Ubuntu Universe
Do not use any package from Ubuntu Universe as they are out of date and contain issues
@@Felnap Please read github.com/abraunegg/onedrive/blob/master/docs/INSTALL.md
@@alexbraunegg71 ok, thanks. The best option for me is the second. Keep on with your great work.
Man, occupied disk space? I don't know because in windows we have the size of the folder, and how much this is on the disk.
I think it copies it to your HD.
Did anyone have a "Error: linker exited with status 1" ?
my ears!!!
Sooo is that microphone from WW2? ok no, nvm xD Thank you for your video.
The mic 😭
