The guests are either biased for or against Karen Read but for me, at this point, three things are true. 1) After all of these days, I haven't seen anything that makes me believe beyond a reasonable doubt that KR killed John intentionally or accidentally. 2) The Canton PD is either incompetent or corrupt. 3) There is no indication that the Alberts and McCabes killed John but they seem as if they are hiding something. All of the inconsistencies, evasions, and improbabilities that have come out through their testimonies have made it so that I find myself not trusting any of the prosecution's witnesses.

There was a ring camera of the house with absolute clear view right in front where John's body was found. But guess what?? It's a cop house and miracle happened and it didn't record anything 😂

@@valiakloeppel7252 Crime rate doesn't matter. Most people have ring cameras these days to keep track of home deliveries and anyone coming onto their property. Cops by nature want to know what's going on in their neighborhood, but you have a great day. I know about Canton, I grew up in the town next door. I live in an extremely safe neighborhood now and about 80% of the homes have ring cameras. Sorry to dispel your myth.
As a MA resident watching this trial, I am livid at the MA Commonwealth for bringing this trial against Reed. After 18 days of prosecution witnesses, no evidence. The only clarity that the prosecution has made is that yes, it was snowing. Lally, my pity, this will destroy your career. This trial is a farce. Stop wasting tax payer dollars. If the judge in this case has any modicum of concern for jurors' time as she has repeatedly suggested, she will dismiss this case. The Alberts and McCabes are deplorable individuals. In testimony, it has been evident that Jen McCabe has some vendetta against Ms. Reed. The only guilt thus far concerning Reed is that she mixed company with these despicable, lying individuals. John deserves better justice than what the MA Commonwealth is currently doling out.
I heard that both the prosecution and defence wanted to postpone the case until after the feds were done with their investigation. Judge said no. Forget how but she is kind of related to Proctor, was asked to recuse herself and said no
The prosecution hasn’t proved anything. They brought a bad case.
The defense has absolutely not proved conspiracy either. Terrible job all around.
@@BigLebowski324 The defence doesn't have to prove conspiracy, they just have to show enough doubt for you not to be confident that Karen did it. Don't forget that we are still on the prosecution case so at this stage we should be feeling that Karen definitely did it and how do the defence really think that they can make us think otherwise. All I have seen is that we have had testimony from a whole lot of people who were at the house that night and all seem to have phones that that night butt dialled a lot.

I heard a report that Kayley said John had asked Karen to move out and that their relationship wasn’t working anymore but Karen refused. The report also said Kayley stated Karen’s story to friends on the phone that morning kept changing. First she was saying they had a huge fight and she wondered if she hit him. Who wonders that? May answer, someone who hit someone.

Just because you say it, doesn’t mean it’s TRUE! The defense has no obligation to prove anything. The two guests that repeatedly ignore the obvious lies and “coincidences” surrounding the Commonwealth’s witnesses have yet to explain why there has been no evidence that shows this Defendant hit and killed her Boyfriend with the intent to kill him. Everyone isn’t a “Karen Read Supporter”. Many of us are just viewing this case like we do many others and we can see that they don’t have a case. The prosecution spent 4 weeks defending their witnesses, when are they going to PROVE she hit him with the intent to kill him? Higgins was an embarrassment for the CW. Law enforcement going through that many steps to get rid of a phone? During a murder investigation? Why not preserve the messages between yourself and the owner of the house?
Well they kind of have to prove their 3rd party culprit theory to the jury or else the defendant will be found guilty.
I think Higgins didn’t want his flirtation/situation with Karen to get out, I mean imagine how John’s family felt knowing one of his friends betrayed him, it’s not right he disposed of it but I also see why he would.

@@dukedematteo1995no, they don’t actually have to do that, they just need to poke enough holes and create enough reasonable doubt, you cannot convict a person you think is most likely responsible you need to be sure they are responsible. Sending a person to prison isn’t easy, it will weigh heavy on your heart and mind if even a small part of you think they might be innocent.
Beyond a reasonable doubt is certainty at 85-90 % or higher.
It's not "more than likely" but it's also not "absolute 100% certainty".
I thought the DA was terrible before he brought the kids in, now I know he is a full blown dirt bag!

I'm trying to stay neutral until all the evidence comes in, but this is supposed to the be prosecutors case, and every time he puts someone up, they do NOT deliver anything that would lead me to think Karen wanted to kill or "get rid of" John. I think she cared more about the KIDS than that! There was no reason why she'd have been stuck with him, he wasn't abusive or trying to hurt her, so what possible motive could she have??? She was mad cause she thought he was kissing another girl a month earlier??? That's absurd!! Idk what Lally has, but he should've come out with it a long time ago.

The accident reconstruction expert is Sargent Justin Reynolds, yes he works for the state he isn't third party witness. Also the first responding officer's never knew where John was and they testified it. How can you reconstruct an accident without the crime scene.
I mean every other attorney on RUclips are saying I'm waiting for this witness or that witness but following up with "If they had a strong case with the forensic evidence they would have brought them by now they haven't so it's likely unlikely".😂

In this case against KR there isn’t even “Circumstantial Evidence” Let alone Direct Evidence. This is completely crazy and cases like this should not happen.

The autopsy report showed no broken bones; only scrapes on right arm and laceration above right eye. That isn't consistent with damage caused by a moving suv collision with a human body. Sounds more like injuries from fighting. Why weren't wannabe bad boy kid and the guy (okeefe) who threw his phone away at a military base seriously interrogated? They should be on the top of the list of likely suspects. How many witnesses suddenly disposed of or traded up their I phone days/weeks later? Why wasn't the house and all phones of all persons present searched when 911 arrived on the scene?

It’s been reported they wanted to give the evidence and for people to know the truth. Seems to me; Brian Higgins dodged a bullet (or some may say a lexus with all respect to JO), how the witnesses (as part of the alleged “frame job”) were treated came across as an unjustified public colonoscopy (as it were), and poor Paul O’Keefe whilst sitting close to the trash, sadly cannot just take it out and get rid of it!

Such a confusing case, nobody really had any motive to off John. My theory is it was accidental, it happened in the basement of 34 Fairview, probably fell backwards and hit his head on gym equipment, maybe from drunken banter that got physical and the dog got involved too. Then they decided to pin it on Karen rather than the potential of being charged with the accidental death and/or sued for large sums of money by the O'Keefe family.

So, for any one witness to be 100% sure John never went into the house, that would require the supernatural ability of omnipresence. And of course you do know that people lie.

I'm a native Cape Codder, the town of Brewster has a "recycling center" which includes all waste, everyone is encouraged to recycle as much as possible, and the rest of the waste is "pay as you throw". The only town on Cape Cod with a trash service is Falmouth, all of the rest of us pay for a service or utilize the transfer stations/recycling centers. If Higgins is lawfully allowed to dispose of trash at the base, then I would too, it's very expensive to dispose of waste here. However, Otis Air Force Base is absolutely not a transfer station that can be utilized by any civilians. I just felt that guy who spouted out all that false information should be corrected and I wonder if Higgins even actually has a home in Brewster now lol, he was so off. Higgins said "Barnstable County" which is literally any town on the entire Cape. I was surprised he was allowed to be so vague. I don't know if he has a device to make it faster, of course him being in civil service, former military etc....but I still don't think OAFB is a cut through as it takes a bit of time to get in through the gates and I think that goes for everyone as security is at a highpoint in recent years.

If I have learned anything about this case, it is that I am so happy to be sober. I don't think ANY of this would have happened if alcohol wasn't involved. Not bashing those who drink RESPONSIBLY. But for me, and plenty of others, alcohol brings far more problems than benefits.
Yes, not enough people realize this point. Apparently, the one one who used judgement was Caitlin's BF who wasn't drinking, since he had to operate a snow plow at 3 am. Karen wouldn't be in this mess, if she had called an Uber to take John to the party. Of course, that doesn't mean JO wouldn't have died, but she wouldn't be implicated.

I'm thinking attacking John was premeditated. He was attacked as soon as he entered which is why he didn't text Karen. Jen was keeping a lookout to make sure Karen didn't come in the house. 3 litres of blood disappeared and the elusive Colin.......??? It's an unsolved murder with a huge coverup.

The only thing I have learned from this case is that all of those law enforcement officers shouldn’t have been drunk driving and any one of them could’ve done it. Shame on any law enforcement officer drunk driving they should know better but they think they’re untouchable.

If it were to put the person in jail who killed someone they loved, I’m certain they’d welcome it. And apparently Kayley added good information about the relationship and what Karen said on the phone calls in the morning supporting that Karen and John had gotten into a fight and that she was asking if she hit him. My kids are 13 and 16 as well, and there's nothing in this world that could stop them from testifying in a case like this if they thought it could make a difference.

So far all the prosecution has shown is that the local police had no issues with drinking and driving, have zero skills in collecting evidence and all have issues with butt dialling especially the night that this happened. They also don't have an issue with disposing of evidence.
Don't forget that we are still on the prosecution case and at this stage should be thinking that Karen is 100% guilty and wondering how the defence is going to change our mind.
So far all I have seen is that they don't know how to do their jobs and are being really cagy with their testimony.

If this ends up in a guilty verdict, I give up all hope in a fair justice system. Quite a few people have said that the marks on his arm look like a dog bite with the claws on either side. Also suspicious that straight after this their dog was rehomed.

The only thing I will give them for that is that he was found on the opposite boundary to where the driveway was (and everyone talked about being parked on the driveway), what was more concerning was the testimony that if you went out the basement door the gate out of the yard there was on that side of the property.

The answer is, Karen didn’t have their phone numbers and also knew that if John was going to stay over night somewhere he would have communicated with his niece. It sounds to me like Karen was having a straight up panic attack at that moment and was trying to figure out what could have caused him to not come home with no communication to his niece. Who is gonna think…hey maybe his fellow cop buddies beat him up and threw him on the lawn? When getting hit by a plow was questioned, that’s SO normal for people to worry about in Mass during a snow storm. This poor woman is being framed and it’s so clear what really happened. The commonwealth should be embarrassed that this even went to trial. This is all about Morissey trying to clear his own name with the Feds because they know how corrupt and disgusting he is.
If someone had not followed this trial so far, they would be confused on the facts that you just gave. Karen spent the night at Officer John O'Keefe's house - so that someone would be home with the niece. She was not supposed to stay the night.

AND if found they would have shared that with the er physician to note. So there are multiple eyes in the ER situation. And if they were told it was a motor vehicle accident they would have had trauma called especially if it was a police officer who had been injured.

You obviously have not been watching the trial. This reporter is not being accurate. It is not inconceivable that a fight occurred inside the house and Officer O'Keefe was placed outside with the original intent to blame the death on the plow driver.
