  • Welcome back!
Join me for a fairly busy pass of the International Space Station. I have been avoiding it for a while due to all the stations jamming it up and causing interference with each other. It devolves into a shit show pretty quickly most passes. I like the passes that start to my west as they are usually calmer until the ISS hits the mid US. Then well...You will see how it goes from there.
    Equipment used
    Icom IC-9700
    CSN Technologies S.A.T. Controller
    WiMo X-Quads

Thanks for Watching, please subscribe to let me know you like what you see.

Hey Rob, good morning to you another great video really enjoyed it. It just fascinates me that you put a camera on your antennas. How well the S.A.T. Keeps up with the satellite. And also the video feed from the ISS the videos just absolutely gorgeous. We’ve been having some weather down here so I’ve been disconnected. So hope to catch you on a another satellite pass. Have a fantastic day and thanks for your videos.

Thanks Steve it’s always a pleasure to speak with you here or on the air. I appreciate the support. I think the view of the antennas really brings home the tracking aspect and helps to visualize a satellite going across the sky. Catch you again soon! 73

My contact with you was with a Kenwood TM-D710 at 50W, installed in my Chevy Equinox. Simple 1/4 wave whip on an NMO drilled through the roof.
I'm still amazed by that gap of silence; that is very unlike the ISS. I appreciate the contact!! 🔭💫🛰️

Hey Mike! I am honored to be your first ISS contact. You were solid for a mobile. The truck is catching the right angle of the pass to coincide with the radiation pattern of your mobile antenna. You nailed it in this one! You will always have better luck when the ISS comes in from the west. Once it reaches mid US you might as well just listen to the S**T Show😂. How to catch you again soon. 73 and great job!

I’m glad you did Terry! Anymore the ISS is only fun when it’s out west it seems. It’s a great place to catch new operators though. The gentleman at the beginning seemed happy to finally come aboard!

@@W0CYC-HamRadioEndeavorsIt made my day! I told my wife and daughter when I got home, I was so excited. My daughter, especially, knows how many times I've tried to make it into the ISS, with some other station always overpowering me.

That's awesome Mike! I am super happy for you and honored to be the one that finally got you on satellites! I will get a QSL Card out to you this weekend. 73!

Thank you! I appreciate it. It was a lot of hard work and experimentation to get it dialed in. Now if I wasn’t fighting 70’ tall trees😳

Time to put that 200ft tower rule to use!

I actually have a 52’ crank up in the back yard. That is probably the goal for this year is to get it up so I am over the trees or at least at the top of them. The station build just never seems to stop!

@@W0CYC-HamRadioEndeavors Never does stop, hopefully you can get that working soon! As for now, I still enjoy the content nonetheless - Maybe this will be the year i take getting a tower of my own seriously

There’s no time like the present. It only gets harder the longer you wait. I need to take that advice myself😂. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it!

We had a busy pass of ARISS today morning in our region (ruclips.net/video/ljCm8mKlB8M/видео.html). Of course not as busy as in your region, due to lesser number of LEO Satellite operators. 73 de Jon, VU2JO
