Thanks for watching. I re-uploaded this video because Holiday World asked me to remove the original. Let me know what you think of The Voyage in the comments. Thank you and ride on!!!
I finally got to visit Holiday World this past weekend and ride this coaster. Holy crap, it's amazing! It has easily taken my #1 woodie spot, I've just never had another roller coaster take my breath away with the speed and airtime that this has. Wow. This is just a very well done coaster all around. Heck I enjoyed all of their coasters there! The Raven is a solid coaster and I really liked the layout of The Legend, although that has a few spots at the bottom of a few of the hills that could use some track work as they were pretty rough. I still liked it a lot, I was just surprised that it had some rough spots like that given that they retracked about 90% of it a few years ago. Thunderbird was also a fantastic ride! I can't wait to visit again, I wish I lived closer!
Great review as always Patrick. Hoping to ride this for the first time ever in Summer 2019. Holiday Word is on my parks list for 2019. I got a lot of info on what to expect while riding.
I would love to incorporate The Voyage into my 2020 tour of parks but it adds 2 days into my trip. On the face of it, the voyage looks to be the best wooden rollercoaster in the world after steel vengeance? I dont hear it described as such though..?
Well technically Steel Vengeance is a steel coaster with wood supports. It is easily one of the top steel coasters and voyage is easily a top 3 wood coaster in the world. It all depends on your taste in roller coasters. I highly recommend Holiday World to everyone. Great place!
Very cool! Would love to ride it, but my home park is King's Island. So chances are I won't make it to Holiday World anytime soon. Wonder why they made you redo the video? The first looked pretty good to me. Oh well, this one is just as good! Excellent video as always, Patrick!
You should visit. It's not that far from Kings Island. It's such a great park. They asked me to remove it because the original footage was taken without permission. So I redid it using their footage.
at my local theme park busch gardens tampa, they had a wooden coaster called gawazi that closed down a few years ago. in 2020 its going to be rebuilt as a rmc coaster. it was also my first coaster i rode. im also a new sub by the way. great job with this video. best of luck to you in 2019.
Thanks you very much for the Sub. I am very much looking forward to RMC Gwazi although I'm a little disappointed. I wish it was still going to duel like the original.
Patrick typically every roller coaster you ride no matter how intense it is the only reaction I really hear is WOOOOO HOOOOOO it’s pretty funny on how I ride coasters and the total freak out people I usually say yeeeeeee haaaaaaa or yaaaaaaaaaaa whhhhhyyyyyhyyeeeeee
They simply asked me to remove the old video and I requested to redo it with their official footage and they were nice enough to grant me access. Just another reason why this is such a great park.
BroadwayBlueShirts The Voyage, eyes closed is incredibly intense - I travel the world riding coasters and was amazed at how much faster this one seems with your eyes closed! 😊
I actually like Thunderbird over all of them, lol. As far as those three go I like Voyage best, then Legend, and Raven is last but all three are different and very good rides. Best wood coaster collection by far that I've experienced.
I'm definitely in the minority, but I can't stand this coaster. In my opinion, it is just too rough. I get an almost immediate headache from this. I want to love it so bad, but o have up. Haven't rode it in years and I go to holiday world every year.
I felt the same way when I rode it for the first time back in 2016. Since then they have done lots of track work and I had a blast on it in 2018. They've done even more track work this off season. I say give it another shot.
If you go here frequently, definitely give it a ride. I rode it for the first time this year and it's now my #1 woodie. It's running fantastic, a few small spots are a little bumpy but I wouldn't call them rough. The return trip especially has a ton of new wood and is running very smoothly! I found The Legend to be the roughest coaster in the park but I still really enjoyed it. If Holiday World did some work to a few of the bottoms of the hills, that coaster wouldn't be far behind this one. Anyway, definitely give The Voyage a few rides! I personally found the back to be a little smoother than the front which surprised me but the front definitely had the most airtime which I expected.
Thanks for watching. I re-uploaded this video because Holiday World asked me to remove the original. Let me know what you think of The Voyage in the comments. Thank you and ride on!!!
CoasterFanatics Thanks for this explanation. What was their problem with the original?
Yeah what was the problem..& it sounds the same..
@@nathanielthomas2502 My original POV was filmed without permission. They were nice enough to give me access to their official footage.
@@CoasterFanatics Wua-hoo denied! I thought it sounded kinda sterile.
Thanks, Patrick - enjoyed the history lesson, too. See you at HoliWood Nights!

looks smooth as butter
It has a few rough spots but for the most part it's smooth. They have done a lot of track work in recent years and improved it a lot.
Thank you for making these videos, I really enjoy them.
You are welcome. Glad you enjoy!
I love these onride-sounds!
lol which ones?
@@CoasterFanatics this rattling wood
Awesome video!! Super nice of Holiday World to let you use their official POV footage :)
Thank you very much. Yes that was very nice of them.
Great vid!
Thanks!
ty for reloading this for us , my fav woody love ths , this coaster is in my top 3
No prob, thanks for watching. Nice!
Great review man, never knew this coaster was this long lol.
Thanks, Yeah it's very long. Only a few hundred feet shorter than the beast,
@@CoasterFanatics Damn lol, one day I hope to ride this.
It's so worth it. I love this park.
Going to HoliWood Nights?
Very strong possibility. It all depends on my work schedule.
Patrick, make it happen bro!
@@CoasterFanatics you really should!
That looks like it is a very fun coaster
It's so fun. One of the best coasters in the world for sure.

Does it have timberliners yet or are they still PTC?
Nope still PTC. Honestly it don't need any timberliners. This thing hauls. One of the best rides in the world!

Kings Island isn’t too far away and I’d argue that Holiday World is better than KI. You should definitely visit if you ever get the chance
It's definitely better as far as wood coasters go.

lol Nice, Yeah That's kind of my thing. I love the people that freak out. It's so funny.
a 2 month voyage and i thought 9 hours to fly from Manchester to Orlando was a long time lol
lol I know right. That had to be horrible being at sea that long.
It's nice the park allowed you to use their foortage, but is there a reason? Hopefully nothing bad.
He said he did it without Permission but lucky, and thankfully, they didn't do anything extra

Reupload? (Other than the updated POV)
Yeah Holiday World asked me to redo it using their footage instead of mine.
CoasterFanatics Lol I misspelled “reupload”
lol, I knew what you meant.
Awsome wood ride also you should do Voyage vs El Toro for ur next coaster battle
That's a good idea. I will for sure do that at some point.
I believe I saw you at HoliWood Nights... New review coming? Lol
Yes I was there. I'll be making a small video about it. I had such a good time I didn't film much. What a great park!

As of right now I like Voyage during the day better and the Beast at night. I haven't been on Voyage at night though yet so that can change.
