Love to watch CC. I am a fan after hearing about this phenomenon from my home state. I wish she had a better support system from her team in Indiana. Something that commentators don't seem to articulate well with Caitlin, is that she engages the crowd in a way that very few players do. By her senior year, she was conducting the crowd, waving them to get louder, hushing them during free throws and she brought us viewers into the game with her. Not only is she incredibly talented player, but beyond that she is a performer. She has a two-way conversation with the crowd during games. She feeds off the energy and the noise. Most players block the crowd out and just want to play the game while we watch. And there is nothing wrong with that, at all. But CC is bigger than that, she loves the emotions of it all and opens that conversation up to the audience. That takes incredible poise and is a very rare thing. She doesn't just want to play, she wants to entertain. She hasn't done this yet in the WNBA but she will, as she settles in and gains confidence, it will happen. Cause that's her, that's her game and style. I think her economy of energy is so consumed with the adjustment to the W, that she hasn't enough left over for the crowd yet. But it will happen, and Indiana will fall in lover with her, just the rest of us did.
