Omg! How much more hate can a young lady take?? The WNBA has turned their back on Clark the U.S. Olympic committee has turned their back on her the players in the WNBA has turned their back on her her coach and her team has turned their back on her. How much more can she take, how much more can her family and friends take, how much more can her fans take?? She's just a great basketball player that wanted to chase her dreams I'm certain she wasn't expecting such jealousy and hatred directed at her. The Olympic committee aren't being honest with their lame excuse about her fans being upset if she didn't get much playing time they didn't want to deal with the other players whining about not getting much playing time because Clark was playing and not them. I probably wont watch much of the Olympics but definitely won't watch the women's basketball. If any of the other WNBA players would have been treated like Clark has been I don't think they would have been able to handle it.

With its allowing serious fouls on Clark without adequate penalty, like foul shots instead of player ejection, the WNBA already looks not only stupid but almost malicious. Already she is causing team like Atlanta to move their home games to the bigger NBA arena... and it's still sold out. That doesn't happen when any other team comes to town. League officials need to pull their collective heads out of their asses and accurately assess Caitlin's experience so far relative to what fouls she takes without adequate punishment and what that would cost the league over time.

*I ran the numbers and Caitlin Clark deserves the spot given to Kelsey Plum* (who is also a guard). Bird's Formula (attributed to Larry Bird) is calculated using all the available box score data as follows: Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocked Shots - Missed Shots - Missed Free Throws - Turnovers - Personal Fouls. I also divide the B# per game by average minutes played to give the very useful B# per minute. So using that metric, *Caitlin Clark has a B# of 12.60 and B#/min of .387 to Kelsey Plum's 9.90 and .267. Clark is also ahead of guard Diana Taurasi's 9.8 and .333 2024 stats and her freshman (2004) stats of 11.7 and .351.* Taurasi has 19 years in the league but she's also 42 now. There is also the slightly weird case of guard Chelsea Gray who made the Olympic team despite not playing in 2024 due to a calf injury. She is supposed to return before the Olympics but who really knows. The bottom line is that you can make a case for Clark over three other guards but especially over Plum, unless Plum is a lot better on defense (defense is only captured by Steals and Blocks in the B#).

So it is ok to go to the Top School in those days and win C-Ships but if you go to a School in the Middle of Country and play for an outstanding Coach and helped to take that School to the C -Ship game but that does not count!!! It’s ok Diane, keep making up the rules as you go! I am sure you want to keep going until you get Social Security!! Not the type of people you want to be around CC! Resetti, Reeves (the one crying about Cc for getting so much attention; geez wonder why She gets so much; fans don’t follow the benchwarmer; this is a Coach on a team I don’t think we have played yet; jealous much ?!????????) and good old Diane!!

One woman on team USA (Chelsea Gray) is injured and hasn't played since LAST YEAR. Clarks coach is either incompetent or purposely sabotaging her. Watch some analysis of Fever games from people on youtube. The woman was never a head coach before the Fever. She answers all her postgame questions very vaguely like she knows nothing about basketball. She has repeatedly and unprofessionally criticized and thrown CC under the bus after losses. Now she made public a private text sent by Clark which will only lead to more harassment and retaliation against her. I have never seen anything like CC since Jordan as far as star-power, popularity, and interest. But Jordan was global, CC is national. The women of the WNBA are probly trying to sabotage her from going global by keeping her out of the Olympics. They are angry, jealous, immature, unprofessional, racist lesbians who don't deserve CC or a league, period.

Diana Taurasi was a standout player with impressive stats, but there were other players with comparable or even superior individual statistics who did not achieve the same level of team success in terms of NCAA championships. So why did she make the roster as a ROOKIE? So lets base it on Diana who was a rookie and called up days after her final NCAA match. She did not try out they selected her simply based on her college career.
    Comparison of Key Players:
    Diana Taurasi (UConn, 2000-2004)
    - Points per game: 15.0
    - Rebounds per game: 4.3
    - Assists per game: 4.5
    - Total points: 2,156
    - Championships: 3 (2002, 2003, 2004)
    - Awards: Naismith College Player of the Year (2003, 2004)
    Alana Beard (Duke, 2000-2004)
    - Points per game: 19.8
    - Rebounds per game: 6.1
    - Assists per game: 3.7
    - Total points: 2,687
    - Championships: 0
    - Awards: Wade Trophy (2004), Wooden Award (2004)
    Seimone Augustus (LSU, 2002-2006)
    - Points per game: 19.3
    - Rebounds per game: 5.2
    - Assists per game: 1.6
    - Total points: 2,702
    - Championships: 0
    - Awards: Naismith College Player of the Year (2005, 2006)
    Cappie Pondexter (Rutgers, 2002-2006)
    - Points per game: 18.3
    - Rebounds per game: 4.0
    - Assists per game: 3.9
    - Total points: 2,211
    - Championships: 0
    - Awards: Big East Player of the Year (2006)
While Taurasi had an extraordinary college career with both impressive individual stats and team success, other players like Alana Beard and Seimone Augustus were also outstanding but did not achieve the same level of team success in terms of championships.
    Caitlin Clark (Iowa, 2020-2024):
    Points per game (PPG): 27.1
    Rebounds per game (RPG): 7.1
    Assists per game (APG): 7.8
    Field Goal Percentage (FG%): 46.2%
    3-Point Field Goal Percentage (3P%): 35.7%
    Free Throw Percentage (FT%): 85.9%
    Diana Taurasi (UConn, 2000-2004):
    Points per game (PPG): 15.0
    Rebounds per game (RPG): 4.3
    Assists per game (APG): 4.5
    Field Goal Percentage (FG%):: 46.1%
    3-Point Field Goal Percentage (3P%): 38.3%
    Free Throw Percentage (FT%): 80.7%
Caitlin Clark has a higher scoring average (27.1 PPG) compared to Diana Taurasi (15.0 PPG).
Rebounding: Clark also leads in rebounds per game (7.1 RPG) over Taurasi (4.3 RPG).
Assisting: Clark averages more assists per game (7.8 APG) compared to Taurasi (4.5 APG).
Shooting Efficiency: Field goal percentages are nearly identical, with Clark at 46.2% and Taurasi at 46.1%.Taurasi has a slightly better 3-point shooting percentage (38.3%) compared to Clark (35.7%).Clark is more efficient from the free-throw line at 85.9%, compared to Taurasi’s 80.7
So please explain to me how Diana as a rookie made it onto the Olympic roster when she was not the best coming out of college even though she benefited from padding her career with championships? Championships she obviously earned because she had an awesome TEAM. Caitlin Clark should have always been in consideration to be on roster much like Diana Taurasi was when she was still a collegiate athlete.
    Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever):
    Points per game (PPG): 15.6
    Rebounds per game (RPG): 5.1
    Assists per game (APG): 6.4
    Steals per game: 1.3
    Blocks per game: 1.0
    Field Goal Percentage (FG%): 35.7%
    Three-Point Percentage (3PT%): 29.7%
    Turnovers per game 5.4
    Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury 2024)
    Points per game (PPG): 14.7
    Rebounds per game (RPG): 3.0
    Assists per game (APG): 5.4
    Steals per game: 0.8
    Blocks per game: 0.2
    Field Goal Percentage (FG%): 36.9%
    Three-Point Percentage (3PT%): 32.4%
Diana should not be on this roster and her comment are hypocritical. It just show she is an egotistical and selfish person.
Nobody in charge and on the team wanted to see Caitlin go off. They did not want to be a part of the overshadowing Caitlin's celebrity would have brought and the potential exciting plays on court she would have done. They did not want to boost this women into the stratosphere by placing her on the global stage. The fanbase in the United States doesn't care about anyone else other than Caitlin. The numbers prove it. The potential of having the world wanting just this women was just too great. The women running the WNBA jealousy truly shows.
ALLOWING CAITLIN CLARK TO GET A GOLD MEDAL WOULD HAVE MADE HER A GOD AND THEY DID NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THAT. SO INSTEAD THEY PREEMPTIVELY CUT THE PRAISE OF HER SHORT BY 4 YEARS.
Anyone saying anything negative about Caitlin Clark is a reality denier and drinks HATERADE as part of their diet.

      1. Comparing Taurasi's rookie stats to Caitlin's is comparing apples to oranges. The league was weaker in Taurasi's rookie season so her stats meant more then than Caitlin's do now.
Taurasi was third in the league in scoring during her rookie season. Caitlin is 15th
Taurasi had 90 total turnovers (7th in the league) Caitlin already has 70 (1st in the league, #2 has 47)
Taurasi was 8th in player efficiency in the league. Caitlin is nowhere near top 10. She ranks 6th among the ROOKIES

    1. I really enjoyed your stat breakdown at the beginning. I had compared CC against Diana but did not realize she was so close to the others you showed. That needs to be more widely known since they keep claiming she just isn't good enough.
    2. The worst part of this whole mess, besides robbing CC, is that about half of the women who made the team actually hate the USA. I wonder how many will take a knee during the anthem if they win?
    3. Another thing to consider that can't be captured in a stat is that CC has very little support on her team so defenses focus her with their best defender and double teams. More than half of the women who made the team, do not get the same level of defensive effort.
    4. Chelsea Gray made the team and hasn't played in months and is not expected to return anytime soon. Why is she wasting a roster spot?
    5. I keep hearing the term jealousy thrown around but its more than that. To be jealous of someone means you want they have but can't get it on your own. The more accurate term would envy. Envy means that not only do they want what she has, they hate her and don't want her to have it either. They feel victimized by her success when it has nothing to do with them.

America is getting followers to their league from many countries which is bringing extra attention and revenue, Clark could play for Italy and they’d pay her well. This would be catastrophic for USA team, I’d follow Italy if this would happen and I’d pay for it as I do now for USA. I think she’d be crazy not to think about playing for another country if she’s going to be snubbed because of her popularity not fitting the preferred DEI. Diana Taurasi has played in FIVE Olympics already, every one since she was chosen, AS A ROOKIE, to the Olympic team in 2004. And now she takes yet one MORE place on the team, blocking Caitlin Clark from being added as a rookie. It's disgusting. If she had one iota of class Taurasi would have stepped back and told the committee, hey, I have had my chances for 20 years since you chose me for the team as a rookie. Choose a rookie instead this year to replace me---someone like, oh...Caitlin Clark. But Taurasi is obviously too narcissistic to have such a thought, and the current Olympic committee is obviously too blockheaded to do what the committee KNEW how to do 20 years ago: PUT YOUR STAR ROOKIE PLAYER ON THE TEAM. And if Clark is not the star rookie, then how in the hell did she get named player of the month of May 2024 while playing the WORST extreme schedule in WNBA history, being constantly double teamed and sometimes triple teamed from 94 feet down the floor, and getting viciously knocked to the floor, slammed in the head, flagrantly fouled nearly every game??? Damn this WNBA establishment REEKS of cliquishness and stupidity. Entitlement reigns as you have a coach who has openly resented Clark's popularity and a committee member who is president of a competing team! Whatever happened to objectivity, fairness, and, oh don't they love the word when it applies to people of color and lesbians, INCLUSIVENESS!!!!! I will just say it: if Caitlin Clark were a person of color and a lesbian---she would be on that team, no question.

It's an all-out culture war and the WNBA mafia and allies ain't having no "Caitlin Clark" culture coming in and stealing their hard-won territory even if it hasn't earned its way in 26 years and she's finally bringing in the cash and viewership. Between ridiculous made up rumors, lies about my marriage, false accusations about my business, it was so hurtful. I kept my head up and pushed forward and I sit back now and see the women that caused me the most problems are alone, divorced, broke and their own kids don't even want to be around them! Men would own virtually every record- if there was only one record book. Women would be pushed OFF THE MAP AND OUT OF EXISTENCE in most cases. Slowest HS boy’s top swimmer would beat women’s OLYMPICS record. Women’s pro 🏀 can’t beat hardly any boys JV in existence-likely MAYBE SOME TERRIBLE boys’ Freshman A-teamers. All I know is that Team USA better pray they get gold or this decision will haunt them, even if Clark doesn't play internationally. Clark is popular, bringing in new fans and attention, while playing at a high level, to the WNBA. The play makes her deserving of a spot on the roster, but it is also a good idea for marketing, bringing attention and fans that likely won't watch otherwise. When you factor in the negative comments by the WNBA players, along with the aggressive plays and poor treatment by both opposing and her own team, and you see a pattern of attempts to relegate Clark to push other players that don't have the same popularity. If the team gets gold, the issue disappears. If they lose, they will have problems. And, if Clark decides to play internationally, this will only exacerbate the problem, depriving the US team of support and a key player that can bring attention to it. If this decision, with the poor treatment, irritate her enough, we can possibly see her take her talents to Europe and take much needed support for the WNBA with her. For a group of people who supposedly desire to grow the sport, this decision seems to be completely at odds with what these players profess as their goal, seeming to want to grow the sport in their own way only.

Yes, her father (and the rest of the family backed it up) taught her what competition is about and how to conduct herself in the heat of the action and in life. She had her moments but, as in seemingly everything else, she learned the lessons and moved on to represent well. That is one of the biggest disappointments about this whole "Olympic" thing - she would have represented us well, something we can't expect from most of that team.

I will because I'm an American and those 12 women on the roster have earned it. Why would I be childish towards them and my country bc I don't agree with the roster. He'll they could send 12 college players and I would watch. Don't let others that make mistakes & make decisions you don't agree with lose the focus & big picture of the topic which is this is a major international event every 4 yrs to allow countries to compete to see who is the best at any given sport. That's it. Which ever country you are from or have a heritage from or friends/family from or living in you can support & root for them to all in good sportsmanship. But don't let people take away your love for your country & support whoever is sent to represent you & your country and be proud of that.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you make Taurasi a coach on the team USA and give that player slot to Caitlin, don't the couches also get a medal? They may not stand on the podium, but they still get a medal. It's like this. Assume for a moment that the Mariners win the World Series. I know what you're thinking, but go with me for the sake of expediency. The Mariners win the World Series. Doesn't Dan Wilson also get a World Series ring? Doesn't the pitching coach, the hitting coach, the 1st base coach, the 3rd base coach, and the conditioning coach?

But weak emotions drive the WNBA and they will get what they deserve. Don’t put CC on that team. as a matter of fact, CC should never play for a USA team for an Olympics.
