There is no way you got the alternator out without removing the coolant line. Interesting how you never showed that exact part..hmmm

Thanks for a great video. Now I've installed my new alternator. It's actually possible to get it done without disconnecting any hose, at least on the 2.4 litre (170hp) petrol version. :)

How the heck did u sneak it out, the metal ac line and coolant line are making it impossible.

Brilliant video, thank you very much, I had no issues and the hardest bit was the serpentine belt which I came back to the vid for and drew a diagram, easy when you know how! I took both coolant and atf hoses off, not a problem, just saved the fluids in jam jars and stuck it back in.

You don't seem to be replying to comments but if you do, I was trying to get a good look at this to see if it was clutch pulley or regular pulley alt.

Unfortunately on later models of the turbo there is a random POS cover over the tensioner that I am currently struggling with, if you happen to read this, idk wtf to do

    Thanks, the new generator works.
One problem is that oil is coming out from steringpump. My oring is broken. I bought a set if orings. But same problem after a while. Do you know the size of oring I need?
    Thanks for the video.

Question - if my AC compressor isn't in good condition any more would it be also possible to change? If the alternator is out there should be enough space or?

Is that compressor bolt stuff involved with a 1999 Volvo s70
