- Again I am flying back to Saint Barthélemy Airport, and I am not leaving until I reach 1,000,000 points. I have listened to the recommendations, and hopefully they will help me achieve my goals in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator epic and dangerous approach.

Why put "no one" in it?
Used to fly a PC-12 into this place. This is pretty accurate by my account.
That little island on final is where you want to be configured and on speed. I used to keep the runway lined up in between the hills sorta like a gunsight. You can probably avoid the dive if over the road, you reduce to near-idle and pitch down to keep the speed.
I think you’re forgetting about the thrust reverser on the TBM
And dumping flaps
When do you use the thrust reverser?
Digitalsoju TV you use it on upon touching down. During the braking process, you’ll stop much sooner

What helps kill that long flare on these type approaches is by retrackting the flaps by one step during the flare. This will make the main landing gear touch the runway faster. BTW awesome video/ graphics. I enjoyed it
I'm jumping up and down for joy! Not only that you got the million points, but that my forward slip suggestion actually worked!
I'll be using that move when I fly the plane I'm going to build to the real St. Barts!
I think it might have been me who mentioned the slipping technique, although I meant a forward slip instead of a side slip, since the latter deals more with Xwind landing maneuvers. Anyways, glad to see you made it. Cheers !!
A slip is the best way to approach without gaining to much speed if you’re already somewhat coming in fast.
Be ready for any excess speed you have for ground effect when you come on the Round out
Keep practicing them.
Also remember, you can ride the stall horn. Stall horn means you’re entering a stall, you haven’t stalled yet. You can always feel and hear the stall (buffeting, ‘mushy controls)
Nice! I saw your last video about this and you were really struggling with floating but now you are doing it great! You should also maintain the runway at your center. Basically, aim a bit to the left of the runway as you are yawing to the right. Adjust your direction by your aileron controls and try to ease your rudder as you are near the runway. Be gentle with your rudder inputs ;)
Great example of why really good pedals are the only way. Rudder control has to be precise and easy without having to abuse the plastic parts. My choice is VKB mk iv. Smaller movement is easier to control
Me and my buddy have been doing landing challenges all day. Through means of license revoking manuevers, we managed to get some pretty good scores.

You’re landing side loaded i recommend you pull off the fwdslip before touch down align the longitudinal axis with the centerline/flightpath of the aircraft. Good job hitting your goal

Once I let a student land completely crabbed to prove a point...it blew the tire off the rim, we had to push the plane super far in the dead of winter to the nearest taxiway.
I learned not to be so extreme with my "lesson" teaching.

I'll say this again! Its nothing to do with needing to side slip.
Aircraft landing at this airport need to be certified for a STEEP approach!
If the aircraft isn't capable of a steep approach it will gain too much speed.
PC-12, Cessna Caravans and Twin Otters land there.
You need an aircraft capable of handing a six degree approach. Power should be at idle.
I dont believe the TBM is certified for steep approaches. Dont believe it has speed brakes.
@DUSTFlNGER Thought that might be the case. Side slip is best you can do then. Asobo being uneducated in such things are being stupid. I would be really crafty in that case, nip into the .cfg and triple the full flap drag scalar. :)
@DUSTFlNGER Ha, its a flight simulator parameter within the cfg file that increases or decreases drag with full flaps. I'd cheat in other words. :)

Did you notice how on every single landing you ended up on the right side of the centerline? When using this slip technique, you should aim to the left of the centerline, so that once you are on the ground, when the airplane pulls right you end up on the center of the runway.

I think just coming in behind the power curve will help out a lot. Try using power to control your descent rate with a higher than normal AoA. Think short field landing technique.
It may just be my tail dragging WW2 bias here. But all these approaches look way too fast to me. Full flaps, ride the stall. Slip left through the gap in the trees. Plant her down at near stall speed on centreline.

Dont forget to use the reverse thrust! That is usually the Co- pilots job, but you could tie it to one of the buttons on your joy stick or throttle to help make it easy to activate / de-activate. Hope this Helps !
In a 2 pilot aircraft, there is a PF and a PM (Pilot Flying, Pilot Monitoring).
Reverses is the PF (pilot flying ) job, not a "copilot" job. (a pilot , copilot or captain, can be PF as well as PM)
The same guy flying the plane touch the reverses = PF

Right at the end when you landed RUclips put some video links over the screen so I could not see the score. Not good.
For the people saying to go into beta on approach (reverse thrust), you "might" be able to do that in the sim if it allows you too but that's not something you're going to do in a TBM in real life lol. Although for the landing challenge you should be going into it once the tires are on the ground. Also just a side thing, I was wondering if they modled the parking brake on the TBM realistically or not wich they didn't, but that planes parking brake is designed silly anyway lol.
You seem to struggle with the side slip. Maybe you should try releasing the rudder just as you go over the start of the runway, it would mean that you would be slightly faster but you could land smoother and with more control. Also, it would mean that you wouldn’t swerve across the runway.
It would also help if you used an aircraft that can do steep descents well (Try something like a twin otter), this way, you wouldn’t even need to do the side slip in the first place👍
Cessna caravan should be perfect for this
I get the impression forward slipping doesn't work quite right in the sim. He should be able to manage more than 1000fpm descent at 80kt especially if he has full flaps (which may or may not be allowed irl, but it's a sim so who gives a shit). Also the twotter isn't in fs2020 lol.

Has nobody ever mentioned that the glow from the engine startup in your opening animation is all wrong? It’s coming from the fan bypass section instead of the engine core.
You have to cancel out the rudder input before touchdown, in real you would damage the landing gear by landing in a crab like that

LOL for the love of god, I love sim pilots with no real world flying experience! Great entertainment :) BTW, forward slips IRL are a LOT of fun! Especially in a taildragger with a huge rudder, like the Super Decathlon. Nice video, I enjoyed it. "fingers crossed" :-)

x check, there's something wrong in the intro: the hot air is coming from the bypass area of the engine, it should come from the opening that's more inward because that's were the ignition happens

Is this done through a llist of Mission's challenges? Nobody has done a video on what options are in each choice of simulator. Or what to expect after we click that purchase button. I know what aircraft and airports each has but what about all else.

All STOL aircraft, no side slip required, I wouldn't be landing here in a TBM not do I think it's certified for such a landing anyway. So maybe side slipping this is a bodge but in reality, a standard steep approach is what's required
Also in your earlier videos, the turn in on approach is really late. If your turn is a wider arc it would give you more room to straighten up the approach and go in steep - as I say though you may be on a hiding to nothing in the TBM so not sure why MS have decided to use this or the challenge.
