I can't believe this masterpiece is so underrated, my pc can't handle DCS and i was looking for other sims and it took me months to find it. And it's something really 🔥
If you haven't already, (and you play in VR) give VTOL VR a try. It's incredibly fun. The graphics are good enough to provide awesome immersion, but not so detailed that requires a high end PC. The aircraft have a lot of depth, but are more user friendly like a 5th gen would be.
Dude, I just watch this first time, and the way you dive down to the ground, I can conclude you are a DCS veteran. Let me share some, the way BMS missile track you, like the active radar, or some kind TVM missile, dive to ground will not help at all. This, and next, a lot of Gopher, and unlike in DCS, Gopher in BMS (SA-13), or even Manpads really hard to fool unless you've mastered the "break into missile" manouver. Just a tip, against any active radar, turn cold, and weave, look for visual inbound missile, and do "break into missile". Don't drop low, it is work at DCS, but not advisable in BMS. Tungushka, Pantsyr, Gopher, even MANPADS will say "my pleasure" if you do that.
There are surprising differences in missile avoidance between the two games, with BMS being the far more realistic one, it seems. For SAMs, some people have told me not to weave. I generally find that you don't need to weave to avoid a SAM, but I'm not 100% sure why I've been told not to do it. One thing worth noting - notching works quite well in DCS but is practically useless in BMS (as it is in real life). In BMS, your objective is to make the missile travel further. With SAMs, just flying quickly usually does the trick. In A-A, you often need to weave as well. I only notch when the missile is about to hit, it's a Hail Mary that has worked once after descending significantly and using chaff + jamming.
@B_-.- tips, notch with missile active tracking you, it means you'll prepare to dogfight the missile. Knows that missile is always intercept, you need to judged by the size of missile that you look to know their distance into you. Around 1.6-2.0 nm, do a hard break turn into missile, dump all the chaff as much as possible, turn off jammer. Do it with a manner of slice (nose down,) attitude. Actually I made a lot of practice to do that with SA-17 and R-77 fired at close range around 6-8nm. You can do 4 out of 10 in practice, you'll hard to shutdown by any missile.
started playing this after barely getting a grip on the f/a18 in dcs and being new to flight sims... this is something else. but having perfect performance in VR made me decide to learn this one and hope 4.38 ground will look great :)
No one seems to be doing a single player campaign. Across the whole of RUclips. I’m looking to get into BMS but to try single player first before I hop into MP. a shame I can’t watch someone play a campaign.

Single play isn't fun so I don't post it but I often do it as a practice. Have a fun flight.
When you turn your head fast I notice black on the edges. Reason why I ask is wondering what vr head set you are using.
